The program integrates several useful features including modification of elevation layers without having to use QGIS or ESRI GIS. Additionally, the program allows for the easy integration of CAD drawings directly from contractors and clients. We have several clients that give us elevation cross sections as individual points and GeoHECRAS makes bringing in that data easy. GeoHECRAS requires internet and is expensive. Many things can be done with HEC RAS that can be done in GeoHECRAS they just require more "leg work" with other programs. CivilGEO customer support is top-notch. Whenever I had problems or needed help, I was connected to a knowledgeable engineer in a timely manner no matter what time of the day was.

Regarding GeoHECRAS, I particularly like the Stamp Geometry and Adjust Elevations tools that makes terrain modification for hydraulic modeling very easy.
