What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

I like the user interface, as well as the ability to undo and assign land cover using the mapping features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?

I would like to see a better comparison of modeling results to determine the differences between models quickly. Right now, I copy the modeling results to Excel in order to compare the differences in water surface elevations between models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GeoHECRAS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I typically use GeoHECRAS to perform no-rise analyses and hydraulic analysis of bridge replacement projects. The benefits we have realized include significantly less time building models and a much easier ability to modify models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The aerial basemaps are high quality, creating models its a much better alternative to Hec-HMS. Really enjoy using hydraulic analysis tools offered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Wish there was a way to create maps exhibits similar to Arcmap then it would be easier to present maps created with titles labels and scaling to clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

GeoHECRAS is a very accessible program. You can upload Basemaps, Cad Drawings, FEMA mapping, elevation data etc. into one location quickly. After uploading files to GeoHECRAS, setting up the hydraulic model and obtaining results is fairly easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?

Plotting legible graphs such as a river profile with multiple flows can be difficult. Adjusting colors and symbols will make the graph more legible but it is tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GeoHECRAS solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use GeoHECRAS for analyzing bridge hydraulics. We compare post site conditions with existing site conditions in hopes of not worsening hydraulics by installing a new bridge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

GeoHecRas can quickly build a model from multiple data sources and analyze results via a user-friendly interface. It saved my students and me a lot of time in pre/post-processing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When refining bad cells in the mesh, I wish I could automatically zoom on bad cells instead of manually searching for them by panning and zooming Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
