What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

GeoHECRAS perfectly combines the hydraulic modeling power of HECRAS with the time savings and efficiency of CAD. The software is intuitive, stable, and easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?

There are some aspects of the 3D visualization that need further development. For instance, culverts designed using the 1D modeling approach do not show up correctly in the 3D view within a terrain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GeoHECRAS solving and how is that benefiting you?

GeoHECRAS has helped us to transfer institutional knowledge from senior designers (who are proficient in HECRAS) to junior designers who are more familiar with CAD. GeoHECRAS provides a user-friendly interface that allows me to model bridges efficiently, especially for preliminary design work. I'm able to work through preliminary hydraulics so efficiently that it becomes feasible to provide preliminary engineering to potential clients for bridge and culvert replacement projects. While this is head and ears above HecRas from the Corps of Engrs, some parts are still not intuitive. Glad there is tech support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
