As a cloud solution, it allowed us to move the last computer from the server room.
There are many local integrators they work with and some of these contractors are less professional.
Unified access control system that allows all employees access to all offices globally.
The fact that you can assign keys on mobile devices, and revoke them through Okta is a huge plus.
Sometimes if the keys expire, it doesn't tell the user until they try to use it. It would be helpful to have a notification if a key expires or needs to be renewed.

The userX and ability to connect from anywhere with my phone
The load time. It takes a bit to get the information I need
The security of my team and office. This aligns all our efforts
I like Mobile credentials / access the most
Visitor management part is getting better but is lacking package signing
Single access provisioning and removal, also mobile access
Easy to use. I can easily add new users and add a card to their profiles. Setting up door schedules is also easy.
So far, there hasn't been anything I dislike. Everything is pretty easy to use.
Very easy to use. I didn't need any training, I was able to figure out use as an access administrator. I wasn't involved in setup, but everything since has been really easy.
This is our first access control system. Easy to grant and restrict access as needed. We have some doors that only IT or leaders can access. Great for keeping things safe!.
The admin portal on the desktop is easy to use with a very clean UI. The mobile device is equally clean and easy to use. Looking forward to adding Meraki cameras to our ecosystem now that it is supported by Genea.
Nothing to dislike about the product.Nothing to dislike about the product.
As we grow to almost 200 employees last year, tracking access to our building was critical. Creating and disabling accounts is simple.
One of the things I love is the Remote Door Access. I can allow someone access if I am not in the office or away from my desk. During the lockdown, we had a plant vendor who still needed to service our plants. I was able to give them access to our suite from my home. I also love the Mobile Badges. When we were allowed to return to the office, I was able to issue mobile badges. Most employees still use their mobile badges daily. The dashboard view is my daily screen; all my information is here, easy to see.
I have no dislikes for this product. It is getting better all the time.
1. Easy User Profiles - adding and deleting employees is very quickly
2. Deactivating badges - fast and easy to deactivate badges when people leave the company
3. Dashboard Overview - this gives me a glance at all areas of interest in one place (Early user arrivals and Today's Attendance) are my go-to boxes!
4. Activity- I can see detailed times and dates if I need to investigate any access issues
5. Monthly Attendance - this helped me to see which days I had the most people in the office when I needed to plan for meetings or activities since we have a staggered schedule.
The UI is well designed and very easy to use. It was easy to onboard new employees and get them up and running
The lead times which is completely out of Genea's control
Having a single platform across our global offices
Has excellent API options to integrate with almost anything
Modular, versatile, and can be used in virtually any application
The ability to give users mobile keys helps reduce overhead and time spent printing cards
It's cloud-based, so it does have the risk of having some downtime that you wouldn't usually get from a typical access control provider. Downtime has been minimal though
We can now virtually send keys to remote employees instead of printing cards in person. We can also integrate with other applications now to make our lives easier.
The fully functional mobile app that allows full management of the key and door system, as well as users, is a massive plus. This is extremely convenient in the COVID quarantine times as well, as it allows for remote unlocking of the door in a pinch.
It is a little frustrating that the key card is not directly associated with a user account, though it is unerstandable for security. There should be an option for end-users to activate/deactivate their keycard on a device—something like a transfer of the key - at least once without Admin intervention.
Genea seriously streamlines the ability to onboard new hires and bring them into the office without the need for a physical meeting. Invaluable in these strange times.
When our offices shuddered due to COVID-19, our company released our Office Manager. We had no one in the office, but some users still wanted to come involuntarily. Genea solved the need for someone to create and hand-off a key to new hires manually, and now IT can activate a keycard for new users straight to their mobile phones.
