## Gem Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful All-in-One Recruiting Platform, but Workflow Customization Can Feel Limiting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arkajit D. | Chief Technology Officer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Gem?**

One of my favorite things about Gem is the extent to which it consolidates sourcing, candidate management, recruiting analytics, and workflow automation, all in one system without adding unnecessary complexity to the recruiting process.

Gem makes recruiting easier and more efficient, especially in a rapidly growing organization, where hiring efficiency and the candidate experience have a direct influence on the company's ability to grow quickly. In my opinion, the main benefit of Gem is its visibility into the whole talent pipeline. By having one place to see and organize your sourcing efforts, engagement performance, pipeline health, and recruiting metrics, you eliminate the need to use multiple tools and manual methods.

As for the user interface, Gem is both intuitive and convenient for recruiters. Its workflow allows easily tracking candidates, sending out outreach campaigns, and coordinating efforts among various recruitment teams without creating additional administrative workload.

Integrations with other platforms is another significant advantage of Gem. As far as I am concerned, the platform integrates seamlessly with ATS platforms, LinkedIn, email sequences, calendar systems, and recruiting operations management systems, therefore minimizing duplicate administrative actions and ensuring higher consistency and visibility of recruiting metrics.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

The thing that I dislike about Gem is that even though the platform is quite powerful in terms of workflow management related to recruitment, there can be some limitations when it comes to the growing complexity and specificity of hiring processes.

For example, I sometimes found myself limited by how easily Gem allows you to customize its workflows and generate detailed reports about the performance of your recruiting process. The system has pretty powerful analytics tools in general, but when you work in a large recruiting environment, having highly specific KPIs for your recruiting process or complex reporting processes, it might be quite limiting.

In terms of UI/UX design, the platform is fairly easy to use in general, yet when it comes to large-scale campaigns and sourcing processes, there can be moments when it feels cluttered to navigate through all this information.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

However, one of the areas Gem has enabled me to resolve effectively is organizing sourcing efforts, candidate engagements, and hiring flows as we increased the recruitment pace and hiring volume for engineers, product designers, operations staff, and clinical roles within our healthtech company.

Without Gem, our recruiting operations used to be very disjointed. Recruiters would manually engage candidates via LinkedIn outreach, keep track of them in Excel or Google Sheets, send emails back and forth and make manual adjustments to our ATS to move candidates through the funnel. This proved particularly challenging as we increased our hiring demands, and recruiters needed to identify suitable candidates for complex technical and healthcare jobs.

For me, one of the most valuable changes that has come from using Gem has been the ability to organize candidate pipelines and improve recruiter productivity. The platform allowed us to consolidate all sourcing campaigns, outreach processes, candidate tracking, and analytics in one place. Thus, there was no need for recruiters to manually keep track of communication and engagement metrics anymore.

  ### 2. Streamlined Recruitment with Powerful Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiruthika M. | HR TRAINEE, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I use Gem for recruitment and talent management, and it really helps streamline the entire hiring process by bringing multiple tools into one platform. I like the easy pipeline management and the automation features, which include timely follow-ups, personalization at scale, automated out sequence, and workflow consistency. It's great to have strong analytics and the ability to integrate with other tools if needed. I also appreciate the candidate engagement features. Additionally, setting up Gem was fast and easy.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I find there's a learning curve for new users, and the search and filtering features could be improved. There's a dependence on integration, which can be limiting, and I think the UI could use some improvements.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gem for recruitment, which streamlines the hiring process by integrating multiple tools. It solves manual tracking, follow-up delays, visibility issues, and low response rates. I appreciate Gem's automation, timely follow-ups, personalization, strong analytics, and easy pipeline management.

  ### 3. Streamlined Our Recruiting Process with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan J. | Talent Sourcer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I like how Gem brings the entire recruiting flow into one platform while automating many repetitive tasks recruiters usually spend hours on. The AI-powered sourcing and outreach features help me find qualified candidates faster and manage engagement at scale without losing personalization. I really value the automated follow-ups and candidate tracking, which make it easy to stay organized and ensure no strong candidates fall through the cracks. The scheduling automation saves significant time by coordinating interviews automatically. The analytics dashboard provides clear visibility into pipeline performance and outreach effectiveness. I also appreciate the unified view of candidate data, having sourcing history, communication, interview feedback, and pipeline status in one place makes collaboration with hiring managers much smoother. Overall, Gem helps streamline recruiting operations while giving data-driven insights that improve decision making.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

There is a bit of a learning curve when first setting up Gem, especially with workflows and outreach sequences for new users not familiar with sourcing automation tools. Some reporting features can feel slightly complex when trying to pull very specific or customized insights. Occasionally, syncing delays with integrations occur, which sometimes requires a manual refresh to ensure candidate information is fully up to date. I would also appreciate more flexibility in customizing dashboards and reporting views to match different hiring team needs.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem helps me manage candidate outreach and track engagement efficiently, centralizing sourcing and automating follow-ups. It provides visibility into outreach performance, response rates, and pipeline health, ultimately saving time and ensuring a consistent candidate experience.

  ### 4. User-Friendly ATS with Room for LinkedIn Integration Improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayham B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I enjoy using Gem for sourcing candidates because it gives a bit of an advantage, especially for IT positions or roles. I find it quite friendly as a user experience and see it as comparable to popular ATS like Greenhouse and Ashby. The features are unique, and I appreciate how integrated and easy to use it is. Setting it up was straightforward, and it felt relatable to other ATS software with a decent UI/UX aspect.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I would say just having better integrations within LinkedIn itself. Because as you guys might know, LinkedIn itself is the bread and butter it comes to recruitment. So I would say just that. But apart from that, it should be quite decent.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gem for recruitment as a local ATS, enjoying its candidate sourcing, especially for IT roles. It's user-friendly, integrates well, and is easy to set up.

  ### 5. Super Easy Setup, Powerful Sourcing Capabilities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin F. | Chief People Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I find the sourcing capability of Gem to be really impressive. It automates sourcing and simplifies identifying candidates that match our criteria, which helps us connect with candidates efficiently. This feature saves us a lot of time because instead of doing it manually, we can do it on a large scale. It helps us identify top talent quickly so we don't lose them to competitors. Also, setting up Gem was super easy, which was very impressive as I've worked with many other tools that are complicated and time-consuming to implement.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

We have not had it long, and nothing stands out for us. It’s such an upgrade from nothing.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem automates sourcing and communications, making it easy to identify candidates that meet our criteria and save time by scaling efforts.

  ### 6. Gem ATS Is Too Early-Stage: Missing Core Recruiting Features and Reporting

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Gem?**

(This is all related to Gem ATS only, not their CRM tool).
They have an option for AI-powered resume review which helps identify best-matched candidates (although it's only as good as your own prompts).
Candidate profile view is good, you can easily see which other roles the candidate has applied for and what stage they are in etc.
Overall implementation was relatively easy but could also be because the features are lacking so you don't have to do much to get it up and running.

I am sincerely hoping that I see a lot of the improvements they promise in the next few months in which case I am happy to edit the review.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Gem's ATS feature is as of 01/2026 still very-very early stage and they are missing several critical features that a typical in-house recruiting team needs. This is very disappointing given they charge the same as much more mature products. They have clearly built this very quickly without thinking about how various members of the hiring team across different companies might be using the product.

For example, there is no candidate survey right now;
As a hiring manager, you can review profiles but 1. in order to get to that view, you have to navigate through the recruiter view which is not intuitive at all and 2. you have to type in your feedback for each profile reviewed, there is no easy "Pass/Fail" scorecard;
Notifications are severely lacking (about candidates moving into different stages, for example) and still being built;
You cannot just enter offer information without having an offer template in place as Gem assumes you would be generating and sending out the offers through Gem.
Even if you do enter offer information, the actual reporting is lackluster -- you cannot download basic information about the offers made such as salary (!).
It forces you to send no-reply emails via Gem's own gem.com email, you cannot set up a company domain which is again just a sign of product immaturity.

Overall, the dashboard, help articles and reporting are all still heavily centered around the CRM, the ATS is an afterthought.

For a lot of it they now say it's "in the works" but this was fully misrepresented at the time of decision-making.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This review is specifically for the Gem ATS and not for their CRM tool.

  ### 7. Smart Recruitment Process with Gem

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem is easy to use and has been a big help with my recruitment work. It keeps candidate sourcing, email follow-ups, and pipeline tracking simple, organized, and easy to stay on top of. Overall, it saves me time and lets me manage hiring activities in one place without things slipping through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Sometimes Gem can feel slow when it’s handling large amounts of candidate data, and a few features take some time for new users to learn. I also think certain integrations and reporting options could be more flexible, as well as more user-friendly overall.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem helps solve problems related to candidate sourcing, follow ups, and recruitment tracking. It keeps all hiring activities organized in one place, which saves time, improves communication with candidates, and makes the overall recruitment process more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Gem helps solve the challenge of managing and tracking candidate outreach by centralizing communication and organizing pipelines. This benefits us by improving visibility into candidate interactions, helping ensure timely follow-up, and creating a more structured recruiting process.

I like using Gem for recruiting because it provides access to qualified profiles, especially technical profiles, from top colleges and highly qualified individuals. This is a bit different compared to other apps. I also appreciate the number of profiles and the quality that Gem offers. The initial setup was nice and overall, I'm quite satisfied with Gem's offerings.

  ### 10. AI-Driven Candidate Rediscovery with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemant R. | Senior Career Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

I use Gem's AI to automatically surface strong past candidates who were runner-ups for previous roles, which is really helpful. I like how it helps with automated sequences to reach out to passive talent via email, LinkedIn, and SMS. Gem aids in debugging my hiring funnel effectively. I find the Chrome extension and AI candidate recovery tools particularly valuable.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Maintaining a two-way mirror is a bit difficult. I would like something that instantly sends a signal to Gem to pause all outreach sequences.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gem to identify strong past candidates and automate outreach to passive talent, helping debug my hiring funnel.

  ### 11. Efficient Recruitment with Smart Pipeline Management

I find Gem very smart and easily applicable, which is great for maintaining a proper pipeline and proper screening based on the role. The initial setup is very neat and quick, making it easy to get started.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I think Gem could improve with faster screening. It could also be better at proper screening and applying auto-rejection for profiles that are not suitable.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem helps maintain a proper pipeline and proper screening in recruitment, making it more smart and easily applicable.

  ### 20. Gem is a very strong sequencing and in-mailing tracking tool.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I like the visibility that Gem gives you into what is and what is not working. As a recruiter I am in-mailing candidates and setting them up in email sequences which helps me provide consistent follow up on candidates who may rarely check Linkedin. They also do a great job of finding emails, as well as tracking and giving a real look into the data behind your in-mailing metrics. I use this daily in my current role and have recommended it to my old company.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I dislike how Gem adds a few extra layers into the in-mailing process. To be able to accurately track my activity I need to save candidates to a project in Linkedin, save them to a CSV, upload to a project in Gem, message them in Linkedin, log the outreach, and then add to a sequence. I wish it had a way to better integrate the chrome extension with less clicks.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem is provides valuable insight into the data around messaging activity, as recruiters looking to fill roles with passive candidates in a short amount of time while also finding top talent data is everything.

  ### 21. Streamlined platform that simplifies recruiting workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhanu S. | Transportation Design Engineer , Civil Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem stands out for its ability to bring together outreach, tracking, and pipeline management into one seamless platform. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to use even for someone new to recruiting tools. I particularly appreciate the analytics and reporting features — they give clear visibility into outreach performance and help identify what’s working and what needs adjustment. The integrations with LinkedIn and email are smooth and save a lot of manual work. Overall, Gem reduces time spent on repetitive tasks and makes candidate engagement more structured and data-driven.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

While Gem has been very helpful overall, there are areas where it could improve. The reporting dashboards, while detailed, can feel overwhelming at times and require some trial and error to fully utilize. Customization options for email templates are somewhat limited, and expanding them would allow for even more personalized outreach. Additionally, the mobile experience is not as strong as the desktop platform, which can make it harder to stay productive on the go. Finally, the pricing may be a bit high for smaller teams, which could limit accessibility for organizations that would benefit from the tool.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem has helped streamline the recruiting process by centralizing outreach, tracking, and candidate relationship management into one platform. It reduces the manual effort involved in sending and monitoring candidate emails, freeing up more time to focus on meaningful conversations. The analytics tools make it easy to track pipeline progress, measure team efficiency, and identify areas where diversity recruiting can be improved. Integrations with LinkedIn and email systems also eliminate duplicate work, helping maintain accuracy and consistency across candidate interactions. As a result, our recruiting process has become faster, more transparent, and more data-driven.

  ### 24. Gem: Where Recruiting Meets Treasure Hunting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aryan R. | Trainee Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem nails the balance between power and simplicity — it’s intuitive enough to use daily without a steep learning curve, yet feature-rich enough to cover everything from sourcing to analytics. Implementation was smooth, integrations clicked into place without drama, and their support team actually feels like an extension of my recruiting desk.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

While Gem streamlines sourcing beautifully, it can feel a bit boxed in when it comes to customization and integrations. Some features are incredibly powerful but lack the flexibility to adapt perfectly to unique workflows, which can slow things down when you’re aiming for a truly tailored recruiting process.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem bridges the gap between sourcing and relationship-building. It keeps all candidate touchpoints, follow-ups, and pipeline data in one place, so I’m not juggling spreadsheets, email chains, and tracking tools.

I really like how easy Gem is to navigate and its user interface. It helps me because I'm not too tech-savvy, and I appreciate how it prompts me. It's easy, simple, and its prompts make my work better as I understand how to navigate Gem and use it effectively.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I feel sometimes responses are too generic

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

is a powerful tool for sourcing and outreach, it can sometimes be slow or buggy, especially when syncing with ATS systems or handling large data sets. Additionally, the UI can feel slightly cluttered at times, making it harder to navigate or locate specific features quickly. Minor delays in campaign email scheduling or tracking can also affect workflow efficiency. Improving overall performance and simplifying the interface would make the user experience even better.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

solves the problem of manual, time-consuming sourcing and follow-ups by automating outreach, tracking engagement, and providing clear pipeline visibility—saving time, improving candidate relationships, and helping me focus on high-value recruiting activities.

  ### 27. good interview review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerad D. M. | Senior Workday Payroll Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I really like how Gem helps recruiting teams use data to make smarter hiring decisions. The analytics and pipeline visibility make the recruiting process more strategic instead of reactive, which really resonates with how I like to work.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

One thing I noticed is that Gem has so many powerful features that there can be a bit of a learning curve at the start. But honestly, that’s true of most great tools, and once you’re in, the value is clear

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem is solving one of the biggest challenges in recruiting—spending too much time on manual outreach and not having clear visibility into pipelines. By automating follow-ups and centralizing data, Gem allows me to focus more on building real relationships with candidates and partnering strategically with hiring managers. That efficiency and data-driven approach really elevates the impact of recruiting

  ### 28. GEM FEEDBACK

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geraldine C. | HR and Recruitment Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

What I like most about Gem is how much time it saves me. The sourcing and outreach features are super easy to use, and I love being able to keep everything organized in one place. It helps me stay on top of follow-ups and makes my workflow feel a lot smoother

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

While I really appreciate Gem overall, I’ve noticed that the reporting features can feel a bit limited at times. It would be great to have more customizable dashboards or deeper insights without needing to export data. Also, the platform can occasionally lag when handling larger pipelines.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem helps me stay organized and consistent with candidate outreach, which used to be a major challenge. It solves the problem of follow-up fatigue by automating reminders and sequences, so no one slips through the cracks. It also gives me better visibility into my pipeline and outreach performance, which helps me adjust strategies faster and hit hiring goals more efficiently

  ### 29. My Gem experience

I really like the visuals of the tools and the integrations. Being able to add the candidates directly from my search list from LinkedIn to Gem in seconds.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Sometimes it feels a bit slow when loading large searches, and the customization for reports could be a little bit more flexible, but it works as expected.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The integration with others apps, at the end it helps a lot to be able to share the information directly from LinkedIn to Gem and to have the track from Years ago regarding the process of the candidates.

  ### 30. ATS- Gem update

AI generated, even tho that's what makes the work easier. While the software is a powerful recruitment tool, some users may find limitations. The platform's complexity can lead to a steep learning curve, and customization options may be limited in certain areas. Integration with specific HR systems can be challenging, and some users may find the reporting features flexible. Additionally, the cost may be prohibitive for smaller organizations or those with limited recruitment budgets.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'll say Inefficient candidate sourcing, gem helps streamline the recruitment process, making it easier to find top talent also gem provides a centralized platform to manage candidate applications, resumes, and communication.

  ### 33. Gem is the real deal

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teddy Enrique P. | Process Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem has been really useful overall. It's easy to use and quick to set up, and i appreciate how feature-rich it is for sourcing and outreach here in the dominican republic. I use it almost daily, and it saves me time.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

On the downside, some parts feel a bit slow or clunky, and integrations dont always sync perfectly. Customer support generally responsive, though complex issues can take a bit longer.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem helps me centralize sourcing, outreach, and candidate tracking in one place. Before, i had jump between excels, emails and lindln, now is very more easy.

  ### 34. Survey Gem

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos David N. | Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

The high variability and amount of information offered on its platform where a large number of quantities suitable for different needs can be found.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

The number of steps that must be executed to be able to see in detail the information that needs to be known about a candidate who is applying.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a platform for reviews and comparison of business software that helps companies make better purchasing and technology management decisions. Its solutions are focused on common problems in the process of selecting and adopting digital tools.

  ### 35. A Smart Solution for Sourcing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ikjot K. | Recruiter, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

What I like best about Gem is its ability to centralize and streamline the entire sourcing and outreach process. The most helpful aspect is how it tracks candidate engagement and follow-ups in one place, reducing manual tasks and improving response rates. The upsides of using Gem include better team collaboration, data-driven insights, and more efficient, personalized outreach—all of which help build stronger pipelines and make recruiting more proactive and strategic.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

One downside of Gem is that while it’s powerful for outreach and tracking, it can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming for new users due to its many features. The learning curve can slow down adoption for less tech-savvy team members. Additionally, integration limitations with certain ATS platforms or CRMs can occasionally create duplicate data or workflow friction. That said, Gem continually updates its platform, and most of these issues improve with training and customization.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem is solving several key problems in the recruiting process—most notably, inefficient outreach, poor visibility into candidate pipelines, and inconsistent follow-up. By centralizing communication, automating follow-ups, and tracking engagement metrics, it helps recruiters stay organized and proactive.
The benefit for me is huge: I can manage multiple candidate conversations at scale without losing the personal touch, prioritize outreach based on data, and collaborate more effectively with hiring teams. It turns a traditionally manual, time-consuming process into a strategic advantage.

  ### 36. Best to save time which equals saving money

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

It has it all!, the thing with the others AI is that it looks like a robot, and at the end you spend the same time doing in it twice. But with Gem you get everything personalized

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Eventhough it has it all I consider that the price is actually a little high, the thing is that maybe not as good as Gem but other AI does the same job but with a smaller cost

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to have differents ATS and had all over the place, but with Gem in a single AI platform I can have all the services that I need and even more. The sourcing its one of the best advantages

  ### 37. Gem has transformed, how we recruit!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash S. | Technical Recruiter, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I can honestly say, Gem has been game changer for our team, we started using it to improve our sourcing and outreach. but it is quickly become a part our entire hiring workflow. What i love most about the Gem, how it help us stay organized and on top of candidate engagement. The automated follow ups saves so much time, and being able to track every touch point in one place has made our outreach way more consistent and effective. it integrates seamlessly with our ATS and Email, so we never miss a beat.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Premium pricing may be consideration for smaller teams and

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The analytics and pipeline visibility are also a huge win, our team can see what's working, where we are loosing candidates, and how to improve, it is also helped us stay accountable to our diversity hiring goals, which is really important to us.

I would make the questions for the interview more on target regarding the position.

I find the product makes job applications easier and helps my company move through candidates more efficiently and quickly.

  ### 39. Networking tool

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aayush S. | Growth Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Great for individuals, wanting to network for job search. You can easily find email ids of recruiters or vice versa for job seekers. Networking with mentors is a good use case too

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Gem is good only for individual basis. It's not scalable at all. If I want to network at scale, it really is impossible right now for me to do it. Chrome extension is buggy too

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping recruiters seek the best talent/job seekers efficiently. Help them connect sooner by providing them with direct email ids.
It helps job seekers as well to reach out to recruiters

  ### 41. Efficiency and automation of reclutation process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

It is usefull to easily discard a lot of non-applicable profiles. Also to suggest correct people for a job. The time of identification could be reduce in an important way. It is intiutive and user-friendly. Easy implementation and customer support.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Cost, it could be expensive specially for small teams or companies. Also, it could be found inaccurate data, and that could be an issue creating errors.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is good to solve inefficient sourcing or manual tasks, since recruiters spend too much time writing, sending emails, tracking candidates across different platforms. Gem could make this process with effectiveness and efficiency.

  ### 42. Huge selection and verified reviews

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SURAJ D. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

User Reviews are by far the main reason I check out here before deciding on which tool to go with.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I've to go that particular products website to check the offers and what they's offering, different offers and wwhat they come with.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you want to stay up to date with the latest in tech, this is the way to go. I used to hear about a tool on LinkedIn or Instagram, then Google it to learn more—only to be overwhelmed by thousands of options, unsure which one was the right fit for my needs.

Here, I can simply select a category and instantly get a curated list of the best and easiest-to-use tools. I can read user reviews, compare features across different metrics, and confidently choose the tool that’s best for me.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kay R. | Clinical Recruitment Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Being able to see recruiting activity easily on dashboards. Sequences make candidate outreach easy, too. Loved the chrome plugin for sourcing. Makes keeping track of candidates and pipelines easy.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Very little! It's simple, but I enjoyed all the features. I primarily used it for sourcing, not as a full applicant tracking system, so wouldn't know much there.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatic follow up on outreach - it's so nice not having to think about contacting a candidate multiple times, because sequences does it for you! Super easy!

  ### 44. Sourcing Savior

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate C. | Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

Gem is helpful when starting a search for passive candidates. The sequence feature is amazing. Gem is also great for reviewing candidate resumes that connect with our HRIS system. The filters make the review process 10x faster. The customer support team is great at making sure we can use all of the features and assist with any help we need.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Gem doesn't connect with the HRIS system immediately so that is the downside of candidate review.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach to passive candidates.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea C. | Head of Global Recruitment , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Gem?**

I’ve been using Gem since 2018 across two very different recruitment environments, and I absolutely love their platform. Their product team is always open to conversations around improvement and consistently stays on the cutting edge of technology through early adoption of AI tools in recruitment and sourcing.

Utilizing their dashboards has been a game-changer, enabling me to eliminate spend on heavier analytics tools like Looker, which were too complex and high-maintenance for the needs of my Talent Acquisition teams. Gem’s intuitive design and powerful features make it an indispensable tool for modern recruitment teams. Highly recommend!

Andrea Clarkson
Head of Global Recruitment Helix

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Product is GREAT! The team is also greta but since they have taken on new customers for ATS rollouts their resonse time hasdropped significantly. I know times are lean for us all but they seem understaffed at the moment. Otherwise VERY happy!

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gem streamlines my analytics, recruitment coordination, and sourcing processes, making it an indispensable tool for modern recruitment teams.

  ### 47. Outstanding Recruiting Platform built with AI capability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

While in a demo, I love their UI and majorly their integrated AI screening module. It eases down the hefty file profiling's in few minutes with the help of AI

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Nothing as of now. All seems terrific! The platform will win the race with their AI module as most of the other ATS software's are using the same structure but doesn't provide such accuracy.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With their ATS system, our current ATS can be replaces with add on features like integrated profilin, interview summaries, email personalization and more.

  ### 48. High-Quality, Clinically Proven Formulations products by clinical research.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishu V. | Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem lets you keep all of your sourcing, outreach, and candidate-touchpoints in one place—no more juggling spreadsheets, Gmail threads, and ATS records.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

Getting comfortable with Gem’s sequences, pipeline views, and analytics dashboards can take time—especially for recruiters who aren’t already familiar with a multi-step outreach tool.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

to see the full history with each candidate.
How Gem Solves It: Centralizes every touchpoint (email, InMail, calls, notes) into a single pipeline view that syncs with your ATS/CRM.
Benefit to You: You always have context at your fingertips, reducing follow-up mistakes and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.

  ### 49. Technical Recruiter

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Angelica V. | Senior Legal Recruiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Gem?**

It is very intuitive and easy to use, I really like the chrome extension and how it can integrate with the different tools I use (Calendly, Zoom, Slack, LI Recruiter). Automating sequences and the visibility of candidates and pipelines is something I would rescue!

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

I feel the reporting tool is not as accurate- like the syncing with other tools sometimes lacks accuracy.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me save so much time on manual tasks - projects, pipelines, messaging. Makes my life easier in many ways and help me with the overall workflow

  ### 50. User Friendly Insightful Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robyn W. | Manager, Talent Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Gem?**

Gem is intuitive to navigate and user-friendly from the get-go. I've now used both Gem and Ashby and can say Gem takes the crown. The top-of-funnel reporting, email retrival rate, and outreach automation stand out as features my team desires now that we've moved to Ashby. From a reporting standpoint, Gem was easier to manipulate and filter providing insightful dashboards leaders can trust. While Ashby has a plethora of advanced filters, its not intuative which leads to issues with realiability in building reports.

**What do you dislike about Gem?**

There's no perfect tool, so you'll undoubtedly run into hiccups with various features. I know the company had downsized quite a bit which resulted in a number of system feature requests getting stagnant on the roadmap. However, the commitment they show in meeting customer needs is truly unmatched with any other tool in our tech stack.

**What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing is a key component of our talent acquisition strategy. Gem has been a key tool in automating outreach and even re-discovering viable candidates that had been lost in our ATS. The Reporting component helps us forecast hires, identify bottlenecks in the process, and show leadership our results in a diagestable form.
