"Gearset Streamlines Salesforce Releases with Easy Automation and Quality Gates"
What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

Gearset greatly simplifies the release cycle for any Salesforce team. Its pipelines make it easy to configure automation and set up standard quality gates such as unit test execution and static code analysis. This helps identify issues early in the process and minimizes problems later on. The product evolves quickly, with frequent and genuinely useful feature releases. The support team is exceptionally responsive and knowledgeable, not only about Gearset itself but also about the broader Salesforce ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

Occasionally slow on large deployments or scheduled test execution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best DevOps Tool for Salesforce"
What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

I really like the way Gearset DevOps is evolving. I started using it back in 2021, and there's been a huge difference from then to now. We've upgraded a lot of things, which is a big plus. Also, the Gearset support team is relentlessly helpful. That's one thing I like most about it. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, easy to maintain, and the documentation makes it clear for any developer to set it up. Everything is pretty much straightforward if you use the documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It completely transform how we handle our release cycle. The pipeline visualization is fantastic, it makes simple automation in our workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

"Easy to Use, Powerful Functionality with Quick Setup"
What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

Gearset is a tool that’s both easy to use and very powerful in terms of the functionality it provides. The setup is quick, and you can begin with a limited scope, then expand it over time based on your strategy and needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

If you’re looking for complex integrations, Gearset offers many pre-built integrations out of the box. That said, some of these integrations are limited, and you may ultimately need to rely on asynchronous webhooks to fill the gaps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined DevOps for Salesforce Team"
What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

I like the easy-to-use interface of Gearset DevOps. It’s great for moving changes from one environment to another without even logging into Salesforce. I also appreciate how it brings all our changes together in one spot, allowing us to manage everything across our sandboxes, including developer sandboxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

Changes associated with long-running projects where we need to stage or hold changes from going to production for a long period of time cause a backlog and an inefficient back sync to developer sandboxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean, Safe Branch Promotions with an Intuitive CI/CD UI and Stellar Support"
What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

The promotion branch logic lets me start development work in a feature branch and then promote that same branch all the way to Production, without the risk of corrupting it while resolving conflicts. Conflicts are handled in a dedicated “promotion” environment branch, which keeps the process clean and safe. The CI/CD pipeline UI is also very intuitive and easy to use. The Jira ticket status transitions feel like magic, thanks to the integration Gearset has with the project management tool. On top of that, the chat support Gearset provides is much appreciated: the team is very well prepared, always ready to help, and consistently follows up on existing issues and their resolutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

The automated back-propagation pull requests are a real pain for us. We currently have around 25 environments and CI jobs that get triggered after every production release, and since we release multiple times a day, it creates a lot of unnecessary churn. Also couple of small glitches around Code Review but Gearset team has already tackled most of them so I am personally very happy with that right now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Salesforce DevOps with Gearset"
What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

I like the automation in Gearset DevOps, and using the diff tool to see what's in our sandboxes versus what's in our QA or UAT environments. I also like the rollback feature if something needs to be rolled back—it’s quick and effective. I just like how it integrates into our Salesforce ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

I had an issue where a controlling value dependency couldn't be deployed. I would like it if Gearset DevOps could handle that. Also, the data seeding could be a little easier, especially with templates and navigating that page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy for Salesforce Admins with Strong Security Controls"
What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

Really easy to use for salesforce admins, short learning time and good security controls Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

Don't like that you can't include 'no difference' items in a package. Sometimes you deploy something, then you have to make a change and deploy something else. Then you have to merge changes with the previous one, but you could be merging 10 changes and can get messy. Would be easier to just clone the package and add whatever is relevant Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gearset Makes Salesforce Deployments Easy with Excellent Support"
What do you like best about Gearset DevOps?

Gearset makes it very easy to deploy work between Salesforce Orgs. Gearsets support is also excellent - they respond quickly and with helpful solutions. We use Gearset on a daily basis and I'm not sure what we could do without it. We use Gearset for deploying, backing up data and performing data deployments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gearset DevOps?

It can sometimes be difficult to find all of your changes or know exactly which files to select. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
