The SOV is better than average. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** The waiver requests have an annoying cover page; the waivers themselves are not up to statutory code. Navigating the waivers on the web portal lacks clarity and there are multiple ways to submit, which once uploaded do not seem to land? **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** I wouldn't use it if given the choice, I am a subcontractor. They have been so helpful with all the questions I have or issues that I've run into. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** I do wish the main screen showed the entire amount due to a sub (including retainage) instead of the net due. It sometimes makes things confusing when I'm looking in our system compared to what is in GCPay. Ive worked without Gcpay in previous jobs and I will never work somewhere that does not have this system in place. I also went thru implemeting the portal twice at differnet companies and Once integrating the portal with a new accounting software and each process was flawless where as other integrations were a compliacted nightmare. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** I do not have a single bad thing to say about Gcpay. As for the currently used software, its rich reporting options can be used to generate detailed financial reports to better manage expenses and payments. This aspect speeds up those monotonous process such as compliance verification to decrease our administrative burden, and in turn, help us better direct our efforts towards more essential tasks. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** Still, there are certain aspects that GCPay lacks, such as flexibility for customization. The software is not very flexible which implies that sometimes we cannot get it to work in ways that is perfect for what we want. This has made us experience some inconveniences in our operations as a business entity. Also, the customer support can be less responsive than expected. There have also been instances where solving some of these challenges was a little slow, thus making it difficult to respond to problems as and when they arise. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** GCPay has managed to solve a number of issues that we were having with the payment management. Therefore, through automating payment processing and compliance tracking, it has been able to save much time and efforts needed to conduct these processes. The ease of being able to control when subcontractors can bill. Our subs cannot bill until they are fully compliant. Being able to reject an invoice or waiver and being able to leave them a reason way immediataly. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** 1) That final supplier lien waivers are only released when a subcontractor checks final in the liabilities tab. We tried several other programs but this one has been oustanding as far as user friendly for both the subcontract and the GC. Customer Service is always easy to get in touch with and responds quickly. For the GC Side I love that I get notices everytime someone submits a pay application which is a huge time saver vs. having to go in and check constantly like others. For the Subcontractor side having the waivers right there and the capability of adding your stored material documents all at once makes it time sufficient! All in all very pleased with this program. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** We use procore and right now there is a disconnect as they dont interact with each other on the backside so its double work with adding contracts and change orders. GCPay's support is unmatched. The support team is readily available within seconds/minutes of a phone call or email, and resolution is never far behind. They're consistently the only partnership that excels in this area. In addtion to service, the ease of use and implementation at every tier makes GCPay an obvious choice. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** We have some issues, predominately surrounding retainage, with respect to our ERP integration but we've adapted to our limitations and have little overall complaints. In all other areas, the ease of integration is far superious to other platforms we've used and/or demoed. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** GCPay is solving the problem of time, accuracy, and efficiency. In our former years, accounting spent hours reviewing, collecting, and packaging AFP's for their final draw packages. GCPay allows us, GC's, enough control to ensure AFP are accurate saving Accounting departments countless hours mitigating the errors of manual applications. Simultaneously, the responsibility of submitting is firmly placed in Subcontractors hands and the responsibiilty of follow up is graciously shared. ### 28. Support is also very responsive and very helpful. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** So far we have not had any issues that support has not been able to easily correct. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** GCPay is helping to streamline our AP system when it comes to submitting pay applications. From what I understand, the sub has to allow this setting on their side. Also, GCPay really should look at adding or buying out someone that has a prequalification module and a COI tracking module for the subs to make it more of a complete solution. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** I really like that it creates boundaries for subs to invoice, so you don't end up with random descriptions and quantities billed that don't match with the original subcontract. This also helps us as the GC stay diligent in lien waiver tracking and doing deductive change orders when necessary to close out the contract at 100% ### 30. I think that GCPay should allow each company with admin rights to be able to unlink or unapprove certain items. I also wish I could change the retainage percentage on Subcontractor pay apps. We sometimes start out with a 7% retainage and then once the CHRO plan is approved we drop them down to 5%. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** GCPay is freeing up my time so that I can concentrate on other items. Compliance documents are easy to require for subcontractors to have approved prior to being able to submit a pay application, schedule of values and pay applications are easy to read and see how far each sub is within their contract, and you can even track all your waivers for each payment too! Waivers are easy to upload and tag and can be digitally signed within GCPay. GCPay support team and FAQ site is also very helpful for internal questions, but also for sending FAQ links to subcontractors who aren't sure how to use it. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** I wish that we, as the general contractor, received an email when compliance documents were approved or rejected, not just when they are uploaded by the subcontractor. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** GCPay allows us to track compliance documents, schedule of values, pay apps, waivers, and tier vendors all in one place. Their team is incredibly helpful and their communication regarding new features is great. The product itself has been a game changer for our accounting department. The fact that our subs see the same thing that we do eliminates the problems of lost invoices and they are aware of any compliance issues. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** There are a few limitations such as lien waivers are tied to specific billings so we can't get the system to generate a waiver for the total amount if there are multiple billings that month. Also, we would like to see the discussion feature allow for more back and forth communication within the platform. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our subcontractors can see that they have successfully submitted a billing so we no longer have issues with missing invoices. I especially like the tiered vendor information that allows us to mitigate some risk by determining when our vendors are billing for materials purchased. This is VERY helpful. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** The functionality of the tiered vendor waiver is based on the validity of whether a tiered vendor is actually paid. This is not always truthful as to when tiered vendors are paid. This is based off an assumption that tiered vendors would be paid for the following AFP's request. If the waiver was able to be required at the next or following month's entry, this would be more realistic to the vendors we partner with on projects. Vendors would like to see how payments are made when not utilized through GCPay. Can payment information be shared with our vendors when payment is not processed through GCPay? **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Monthly AFP's completed in a timely basis. Along with that, requests are clearly indicated when AFP's are late and may delay payment due to their inability to be punctual. Tiered vendor information reporting is a large help in mitigating risk and assessing when high risk may become possible. Lien waiver exchange has been flawless and extremely helpful. ### 36. This helps to keep costs and revenue on track with the period it belongs in. Another feature that I really like is the Bulk Retainage Release function. This has really streamlined our process when we are able to release multiple vendors retention at the same time. It also cuts down time in emailing vendors and suppliers to ask for the billing to be submitted. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** I dislike the fact that some changes I have to have made by the Support Team rather than being able to do them myself. I understand the need for control in some areas but at times a basic change if I were able to take care of it myself is much more simple that having to email back and forth to get something corrected. For example, if my suppliers tells me they missed something in their billing and need it put back in their court and it is already completely approved, it would be convenient to be able to reject with audit trail notes to document why this change is being made rather than having support have to take care of this for us. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am exercising excellent cost control and retention by being able to see at a glance who is in compliance and not paying someone who has not been in compliance that could cause us to have to double pay expenses on jobs. This is an excellent benefit to us and helps keep our profit margin in place. We are also able to develop better business relationships with our trade partners because the system is so transparent. I also don't like the fact that the money leaves your bank as soon as you submit payment but doesn't necessary get to the subcontractors until days later. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a struggle to obtain lien waivers and insurance from subcontractors. In order to get paid, GC pay requires these to be submitted. For the most part, it's easy to navigate and find things once you get to learn it more. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** The value of the payment application isn't stated on the approval line when approving the liens, so you have to open the document sent to the subcontractors to compare that the values are correct. It's just an extra step needed to take. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems GC Pay is helping to solve is the subconractors knowing the documents needed for payment, and it helps to collect it before submittal, so I'm not chasing the subs for the documents. The system is very user-friendly and intuitive to use for both the GC and the sub. The pay application entry process in GC pay eliminates mathematical errors that we were previosuly correcting by hand. The lien waiver management process is streamlined through GC Pay. Compliance and reminders are also helpful. GC Pay support is also extremely responsive and helpful. **What do you dislike about GCPay?** Getting new subcontractors registered and set up in GC Pay can be a little challenging, specifically for subcontractors that are not as tech-savvy. GC Pay does help by providing free training and assistance as needed. Our Project Managers wish they had the ability to un-approve or reject a previosuly-approved subcontractor pay app without needing to contact GC Pay to un-approve the pay app. The PM wants to approve the pay applications timely to reflect accruate job cost, but then he may have to go back and request an adjustment if the owner pay application is amended for any reason. **What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Subcontractor Pay applications, lien waivers, subcontractor compliance, and lower tier subcontract management are all managed through GC Pay.
