Very easy to learn, it took me no more than 20 minutes and I was up and running.
Also very quick to set up to entire project and modify it over the days when we finalised the proposal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not as flexible as I would like.
Output options are essential, and the graphics could use a rehab to make it a bit friendlier to look at.
Would also be great if I could read data directly from a database so I could fire in production schedules from our erp that has very basic scheduling capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has the functionality of most Gantt chart programs while being valuable. I like the ability to use the task property pop-up window. The UI/UX is easy to use and learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there were reporting features that would allow more resource management capabilities and cost management functions as well. Both of those would help provide the essentials to managing a fair size project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's simple, doesn't require a subscription, and it's lightweight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a bit too ugly, and documentation for developers isn't all that clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It runs on a Mac, using local files (no cloud requirement), which makes it great for personal projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Java, of course, and sometimes it's slow to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Useful for project management, very easy to learn Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes is not easy to adjust scale on the template which could be a problem when a project as too many steps Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great set of tools for simple project planning and management. Quick to learn and intuitive interface. Very useful for managing small projects or personal timelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Does not have all the bells and whistles as MS Project, but that is to be expected. It would be nice to have an easier way to update all due dates as the project inevitably falls behind schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Gattproject has an intuitive interface, easy to edit and build a Gantt chart without much experience. The application runs fast and clean, either at launch while using it or exporting a file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perhaps exporting to MS Project or others can be more tricky, but XML format should work for essential sharing, and pdf report would better preserve dates and information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GanttProject has a small learning curve and then it lets you get down to work. Modifying an existing Gantt chart is so easy. I only ever do 1-3 charts a year so its my goto GANTT sotware on my projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the movements in the chart including changing time scales can be a little jarring. Also could it not remember you last print/ export settings eg print to PDF, page size & start/end dates or at least have them as presets that can be selected Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GanntProyect has simplified our way of organizing projects, from a small project to the planned development of a portal. Its tools, although basic, allow for a simple yet useful elaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the UI of the site deserves an improvement as well as the UIX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the simplicity of the design that allows beginners with project management and gantt charts to test. The menu bars at the top is similar to what you might find with other purchasable software. Also the fact that it is a free and open-source software compared to others makes it extremely advantageous. One thing that the software could improve upon is adding an internet online version that would be compatible with the downloadable software. It is also relatively good with importing since it allows you to import and export files made in MSProject. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not the most powerful software and thus may not be as good for more experienced users with gantt charts. Also, even though it is relatively simple to use, there are some problems when running. Other main issues with the software include:
- It does not allow for significant amount of detail in charting
- Data entry is relatively simplistic and cumbersome without a more powerful method to fill out information
- The user interface does not have that many added features, so again it's just good for simplicity and first time users
Overall, it is a decent open source and free software for first time users and beginners that are not interested in added features or in-depth detail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
