I've used Gandi for years, purchase has been always easy and setting up domains for e.g. Gmail, websites etc. has been easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Haven't found out any downsides, maybe their own email client is not the best (or at least wasn't when I tried some years ago) but I use my own anyway so it doesn't really matter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We thought it was interesting that Gandi.net offered more domains than other platforms. It turned out that they were selling domain names that were already owned by other users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We purchased a domain that was showcased as available. Turned out is was already owned by another client. Gandi.net still took our money. We did not receive the product (the domain). We asked for a refund a few minutes after realizing we were scammed. They did not want to refund us. Our experience with them is beyond negative. They have put a mechanism in place to scam people out of their money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the best thing about gandi they offer clean and easy process to register domain name.
They offer whois privacy protection to hide personal data so I am not receiving any spam emails like I used to get earlier.
The pricing is also good compared to the domain industry pricing.
Domain management feature is easy to mange domain settings like nameserver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have found nothing to dislike here easy to use UI and helpful support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how they offer you all of the different features including sub domains without limits on how many you can use. compared to places like go Daddy and google domains, and dont charge you for add ons. Very simple interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I Wish they allowed you to have more emails, and that they offered a website hosting/builder, besides that, nothing else. I love using them as a every day part of buisness... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main reason I chose Gandi is that of the TLDs offered by them. there are many website Registrars out there but none of them offered such wide range of TLD's to select From, I actually Moved By Domain and Gandi only because of this. another great feature about Gandi is their Security Features, it's so clear that Gandi concerns about their user privacy and credibility that you never use an account or domain from using Gandi. they provide free SSL and WHOIS privacy with Domain Registration which is really helpful. The price, Now coming to the worst of gandi, their Pricing is just too high that it can be a burden for the average user. they do not offer many discounts either which makes the case really bad and there is no offer even on bulk purchases. another problem with Gandi is accessing the account from a Mobile Device, they got no such thing as a mobile app and it's hard to navigate through their complex user interface with a mobile phone. they do not have so called customer support and it used to take days to get a reply for the querirs. They work by word of mouth so customer service is priority to them. Making customers the priority Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Billing can be confusing
And they are international so you have to pay extra fees
And there is often an issue Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If there's one truly fabulous thing I can say about Gandi, it's that I have had absolutely zero issues with the actual stability and performance of the service since I switched my domains to it several years ago. I've never once worried about an error or an outage. Everything works exactly like it should.
It's nice to use a domain registrar that doesn't try to shove extras and add-ons down your throat, and doesn't try to use sleazy marketing techniques to get business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unfortunately, Gandi's user experience really does not match up to its fantastic performance. The administration interface is quite confusing and cluttered, and it's often hard to find what you want. While all the features are there if you look hard enough, some of them are buried pretty deep.
The account system feels very archaic. When you sign up for a Gandi account, you can't pick your username, you are assigned an alphanumeric "handle" that you must use to log in. I can never remember it, so I always have to go digging to find it when I need to log in to manage my account.
Billing is a confusing process involving prepaid accounts and reloading funds from bank accounts, and because they're an international company, you'll pay fees associated with that if you're based in the US. Pretty much every year around renewal time I've had some sort of odd difficulty with billing, causing me to fly into a panic thinking my domain might get cut off. On top of all that, Gandi is more pricey than competitors with no sign of reducing costs.
I moved to Gandi on the recommendation of a friend, but I would likely move off of it if not for the hassle of domain transfer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been working with Gandi for ten years and we have always recommended it to our clients. We can provide our clients with full ownership of their domains but still be able to fully manage the domains as "technical contacts". You can manage everything cleanly and transparently with Gandi: you have full control over all aspects of your domains.

If I would have to complain about something it will be the documentation: not that you need it a lot, specially if you deal mostly with domains and not hosting, but it could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
