What do you like best about G2 Marketing Solutions?

Our customer success managers Henry and Mark are constantly helping us get the most out of the platform and improving our profile. It's a very trusted source and helps us buildning creditability in our community. We also find the buyer intent data very useful as well as the integrations with LinkedIn and HubSpot.

What do you dislike about G2 Marketing Solutions?

That there are no specific badges for each category eg. if you are a leader in multiple categories you still just get one badge. Nothing else that I can think about :)

What problems is G2 Marketing Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?

G2 has helped us to become a bigger player in our industry and empowers our future customers to feel more confident in their buying process. We can also see a direct impact on website visitors and demo requests.

"Great onboarding and results from day 1"

What do you like best about G2 Marketing Solutions?

The best thing about G2 is how the plan and onboarding are tailored to our business case. This has meant that the implementation and customer success team from G2 has been able to help us towards reaching our goals instead of "just" showing us the platform.

Also, we've gotten specific examples and cases of how to best use the G2 features for us, and together we've already set goals for what we want to achieve together.

We've been using G2 for a few years now, and we've seen great results in review generation and, more importantly, lead generation and sales.

The Buyer Intent data available to us has really helped us out in many different ways, and we now use the data in marketing, sales, and customer success.

What do you dislike about G2 Marketing Solutions?

I've found a few places where the documentation of features doesn't seem to be updated completely. An example could be for the different widgets, where it's not very clear how they are actually going to look. A few images/examples (maybe just with dummy data) would be great to show precisely what a widget does and how it'll look when implemented.

What problems is G2 Marketing Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?

At first, the main benefits we were getting from G2 were better social proof and increased brand awareness. Getting more and better, reviews have really helped us stand out in a competitive category, and works great as user-generated content that can provide social proof of our products.

Buyer Intent data has since helped us solve another big problem: identifying active buyers in our category. The customer journey is long and complex in our industry, so identifying key accounts that are actively researching products has helped us immensely in terms of lead generation and sales.

"More than just reviews โ€“ G2 gives tangible insights"

What do you like best about G2 Marketing Solutions?

G2 is one of the first places software buyers go to learn about your product these days, so it really gives us an opportunity to showcase our product and the amazing users we have.

But it's more than just reviews, the buyer intent information and other analytics are helpful to not only create leads, but also move opportunities through the pipeline.

To cap it off, their customer success and accounts team are second to none. I've worked with a number of reps at different organizations across a number locations and each and every one of them have been proactive and a pleasure to work with.

What do you dislike about G2 Marketing Solutions?

Occasionally the backend UI will have some quirks that get resolved (like lists not scrolling the way I expect, or buttons not leading to where I think they should lead), but even these get resolved rather quickly.

What problems is G2 Marketing Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?

Social proof and word-of-mouth is such a huge part of creating trust around a business or product. G2 helps capture that word-of-mouth and display it at scale for anyone that's interested.

G2 also gives us an idea of what industries are interested in our categories, which is extremely helpful in creating messaging and planning marketing&sales activities.

"Working with the team at G2 has been a pleasure from day one"

What do you like best about G2 Marketing Solutions?

The fact that all the reports are vetted and verified by G2 gives credibility to the badges and reports. When a prospect or customer wants to research our service, we feel confident pointing them to G2 for reliable and honest info about our product. The team is also really helpful and supportive, providing plenty of ideas and examples of how we can use the content.

What do you dislike about G2 Marketing Solutions?

Nothing really comes to mind about the Marketing Solutions themselves, but gathering reviews is key to the success of the marketing material, and some customers express that writing a review can be time-consuming, so that's one thing I guess I can say I dislike. That said, having a slightly higher threshold for review writers is what ensures they're real and credible, so I probably wouldn't want to change it even if it's a bit of a hurdle for some.

What problems is G2 Marketing Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?

A lot of people researching our category use G2 to help inform their decision, and being able to reference comparison reports and reviews means we don't have to do all the talking ourselves. Our Sales and Marketing teams can point people to what others are saying about us instead of only saying it themselves. We also use Buyer Intent data to help understand what types of companies and industries our platform is most relevant for, and who is interested in our service. This gives us valuable insight and intel we wouldn't otherwise have access to.

"The best way to collect customer feedback"

What do you like best about G2 Marketing Solutions?

G2 allows us to collect customer feedback, better understand the market, and develop our product based on it. We also use the buyer intent features to support our outbound sales efforts. The CSM team has been extremely helpful and responsive in supporting us with review campaigns, onboarding, and any of our questions. They regularly go above and beyond to get our questions answered quickly.

What do you dislike about G2 Marketing Solutions?

Because the scoring algorithm for the grid and rankings change all the time, it's sometimes difficult to keep track of all the things we could be doing to perform better in the reports. However, the CSM team has done a great job keeping us up to date on the important changes.

The other thing I'd love would be the ability to control what data/new accounts we move to HubSpot through the integration. In its current shape, the integration is a bit noisy.

What problems is G2 Marketing Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?

G2 helps us collect useful customer feedback that allows us to understand our product gaps and the market we're in. The buyer intent data gives us valuable information on prospects who are considering different solutions and may not even know about our product yet.
