98 Frontend Masters Reviews
FrontendMaster provide a lot of courses around web development and the subjects varies from beginer level, to expert. If you're not sure where to start, different path are provided in order to acquire experiece.
Even if all of courses are solid value, I particulary liked the Will Sentance's courses, around Javascript.
The subjects are easy to follow, github code is provided in most cases, if you ever get lost.
The customer support is really great. I've got response to my every question. I've been using this courses for 5 months, and I've been enjoying every one of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe few courses are a little bit old, but still providing valuable knowledge. Using on the mobile, is not very easy, but again I don't know if the content can be adapted for such devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I really like about Frontend Masters is that they definitely stand out as a learning platform for developers offering unique experiences from seasoned and oftentimes well-known professionals with a notable track record of contributions to the growth of webdev community and the industry in general.
Unlike tremendous amount of courses out there with questionable pricing and repetitive beginner-aimed content that can be accessed freely all over the internet, Frontend Masters is a breath of a fresh air giving you access to the information that is mainly dispersed over tons of articles and tech books that one has to take a considerable deal of effort to find.
What is more, for a long time the platform has been expanding its library way beyond just Frontend courses, adding more content covering such topics as Backend, DevOps, Computer Science, Programming Languages, Design and Interview Preparation for which it is arguably harder to find decent learning resources. Hopefully this will continue as I believe these areas have lots of uncovered issues that many usually do not have a chance to work on or get close insight to in the course of their careers.
All in all, Frontend Masters is a great place to deepen your existing expertise and to gain additional exposure to the topics beyond experience at your current job! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With all good things in mind, Frontend Masters will not suit everyone:
- If your top priorities when choosing a course include obtaining completion certificate - this platform does not provide that opportunity as far as I know.
- If you are looking for a full-fledged comprehensive courses/learning tracks that will guide you from A to Z along with practical tasks and review sessions - then you might probably look somewhere else.
- If you are looking for "pay once - enjoy forever" option - the access by subscription Frontend Masters offers may turn you away, however nothing stops you from taking notes, let alone the fact that with subscription you have full access to the entire FM library thus having chance to find what suits you best yet paying less. Frontend Masters offers a wealth of high-quality content delivered by top-tier instructors, making it incredibly effective for learning web development/software development skills. The platform's ease of use, intuitive interface, and structured lesson plans have allowed me to quickly graso and apply tech like Next.js, React, Javascript, CSS, and HTML to my personal projects. Applying what I've learned to real-world projects has been straightforward, thanks to the practical hands-on teaching approach. The practical knowledge I've gained has been instrumental in building my portfolio and updating my resume, setting me on a path to landing a job in tech. I appreviate the frequent updates and breadth of topics covered, ensuring that I'm always learning the latest in the space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Frontend Masters excels in providing excellent educational content, I feel it could benefit from more career services and resources. Adding more content on how to get a job in the field, resume writing, and breaking into the field with no prior experience would be highly valuable. This would complement the technical training and help users transition more smoothly into their professional careers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. Top-notch instructors. There's no other platform where you can learn about a framework directly from its author. Book authors, well-known content creators, and software engineers from the biggest tech companies in the world are just some examples of the highly qualified instructors you can encounter on this platform.
2. High quality and variety of material: Many courses are targeted at developers who already have some experience but want to take it to the next level.
3. Almost everything is up-to-date: Constant course updates ensure all the material remains fresh.
4. It's a great place to look for inspiration as well as stay up-to-date with the industry's latest advancements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I thought hard but couldn’t come up with anything that would discourage me from using this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate the fact that the platform hosts professionals from leading companies (LinkedIn, Stripe, Google, etc.) who talk about a wide range of subjects and advanced topics. This clearly speeds up the learning process on certain subjects. What's more, the atmosphere in the classes always seems very pleasant and you can feel it in the videos (which is definitely an advantage in a learning context). Finally, the interface is very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the topics are covered in a broad and advanced way, but perhaps not enough on a specific use case that would address several advanced topics in context. For example, the course on Angular gives good examples of good practices to follow, but lacks a capstone project, for example. Another example topic that could be interesting is to have a concrete example of how to use the signals system in harmony with the ngrx-store or to have concrete examples opposing a use case for a pinia store rather than a composable in the context of a vue3 application. These are just ideas, of course. I think your platform is already very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the instructors, when I watch the courses I get the sense that I am getting an inside look at industry leaders and access to real professionals who know what they're talking about. I also love the format the classes are delivered in, the videos where you pause to code, then go back to lecture. I love that there is an app you can use to watch or listen on the go to really double down on learning. As a new developer, I didn't feel like FEM was a go-to for new learners. Everyone talked about Codecademy, freeCodeCamp, etc. but I have felt like doing FEM has given me an edge and like I'm using something that more seasoned developers use to up-level. My husband who is a senior SWE told me about FEM and I think that is telling. It just seems higher quality and more relevant to current industry because of how frequently courses are updated and new ones are added. Oh, and it's only $40/month?! I wouldn't be surprised if those prices increased, but I hope they don't. I feel like it is worth more than $40, but the fact that it's so affordable means I will probably stay signed up forever, because I'll want to keep taking the news classes, especially since they have expert level classes. It's not just for beginners, it's for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing that comes to mind is that if you watch the videos later, instead of attending the courses live, you can't ask the instructors questions. However, the Discord group that we have access to helps. I asked a question in the beginner group on Discord and Jen Kramer herself responded within I think 10 minutes. I mean, wow! I am signed up for a live class in August which will be my first one, and I'm really looking forward to that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Frontend Masters teaches you how the web works, not just how to brute force or get something you built to work. There is a lot of ambiguous material online about web development, but so little of it feels really curated to teach people how to reason and troubleshoot with the tools of the trade. Even less of what is out there really tries to establish best practices in the context of the industry status quo. Frontend masters courses carry the weight that advice from senior ior staff dev mentors would, if you are so lucky to have those. At the same time, the knowledge imparted in FEM courses feels really solid. It's far less subjective than code review tends to be, for example. It's such a good value.
The courses are extremely well organized into tracks, and the watch history tracking is just gamey enough to entice you to keep watching. I'm completely charmed by the green checks and I want to collect them on all the material in the catalog!
It's beyond cool that playback speed goes up to 3.5x. The diversity of topics covered is really good as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There could always be more exercises, especially project-based exercises. Likewise, if there were a way to, even on periodic or limited basis, get access to code review or office hours from instructors that would be amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the amount of different branches that are covered. As an eager learner, I love the fact that it doesn't follow the standard path of JS/React/Next.js pattern, but instead tries to cover many more aspects of the industry. It's good to see really well-made materials about algorithms, databases, DevOps and more advanced topics, which are often omitted. But what's the most important is overall quality. Top instructors, a well-planned curriculum, and a bit of humor are something that makes Frontend Masters experience something special. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing really. Anything "bad" is so small, that it's not even worth noticing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think that the platform is easy to use and really friendly. Frontend Masters is part of my daily routine. I've already created plans of which paths I should follow to achieve my learning goals. The platform is just amazing, I really like the quality of the videos. The teachers are top-level and inspiring, the lessons are in a really good level as it goes from basic to advanced stuff and the learning experience for me, as a self-taught student, is incredible. The only thing I would like to have is a way to create custom learning paths. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Quality of the videos and the material being taught in each course is some of the best that I've ever seen. The format of each course is usually very well organized and the subject matter experts provide incredible examples. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish that there was some form of self-learning project section similar to code rafters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
