"Feature-Rich but Needs More Standard Fields"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

I like that Frontegg has many advanced features already implemented, which helps us move fast without having to build them ourselves. The self-service UI is easy to integrate into our products and was particularly helpful during the initial phases of our project. The 'impersonate' feature is also great, as it allows us to debug the app from the perspective of our users. Overall, these features significantly ease the management of our products' authentication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

I would have liked to have more 'standard' fields, for example: 'First name', 'Last name'. I didn't enjoy having to resort to metadata. The only way you can add first name and last name to your users is by putting this info in the metadata, which is less ideal. The product itself is good, however as of now I think I would rather recommend BetterAuth, which is open source, has all of the advanced features that Frontegg has, and it lives directly inside your own database (this makes everything so much simpler). "Efficient SSO with Exceptional Support, Minor Bugs"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

I like that Frontegg is very basic and provides all the functions I need immediately, especially for the login screen and Google SSO. Their support team is also very helpful, answering every question I had and addressing any technical problems in less than an hour. They were quite supportive in suggesting solutions and understanding the issues underneath. The onboarding flow on the website is really easy, allowing me to implement it in about an hour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

There are some basics like the URL link or some path that are really difficult to understand where they come from on the website, and it took us hours to figure it out. Also, in the backend, there's no documentation about error handling and tags, forcing me to use other tools like claude code for debugging. The initial setup was partly easy, but moving to production was different and had many bugs. We needed advanced features and functions to implement it properly on the web. "Reliable Authentication Platform with Excellent Support"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

One of the best things about Frontegg is its ease of use. Implementing it in our Angular and .NET applications was very smooth, and we were also able to integrate it successfully into one of our Blazor applications.

The customer portal has been extremely useful. Whenever I create a support ticket, the response time is excellent and the support team always provides well-considered and helpful responses.

I often rely on the customer portal whenever we encounter issues or identify bugs on the Frontegg dashboard. The team is very efficient in investigating and resolving problems, which makes the overall experience very positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

I haven't experienced any downtime so far. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and the level of support provided after implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast and Reliable CIAM for SaaS Products Without Rebuilding Auth From Scratch"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

Frontegg significantly speeds up implementing customer authentication and user management. The embedded UI, hosted login, and out-of-the-box features like users, tenants, roles, permissions, MFA saved us a lot of engineering time compared to building everything in-house. The SDKs and APIs are well structured, documentation is generally clear, and the solution integrates nicely into existing frontend and backend services. It allows us to focus more on core product development instead of auth infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

Occasionally, documentation lacks deeper real-world examples for more complex scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined IAM with Excellent Developer Focus"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

I use Frontegg for identity and access management and appreciate that it saves a huge amount of development time. It's enterprise-ready and offers a good developer experience. I like that it's easy to use and has good APIs. I enjoy the pre-built UI that's actually usable and the flexibility between 'out-of-the-box' and custom features. The initial setup was very easy, and I'd rate it a 9 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

Not all API is documented - I need to do additional research or contact support. Sometimes errors are not clear. Not super flexible with domain management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Frontegg Makes Integration Easy — A Huge Time Saver for User Management"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

Frontegg has significantly simplified our authentication and user management processes. The built-in user portal, SSO, and team management features saved us months of development time. Integration was straightforward — their SDKs and documentation are well-structured, and the customer success team was very responsive throughout onboarding, it helps us resolving issues on everyday basic. We especially appreciate the flexibility with custom domain integration, the hosted login box, and the powerful account and user management features. Webhooks are also very helpful for syncing user and tenant changes with our internal systems. Overall, Frontegg made it easy to implement enterprise-grade auth and access control with minimal overhead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

Frontegg is a great platform, but a few areas could be improved. We’d like to see faster bug fixing and more frequent release cycles for resolving minor issues. Additionally, enhancing the design customization options for the UI components — such as the login box and admin portal — would help achieve a more consistent brand experience. These improvements would make an already strong product even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless on Prem Deployment with Room for Growth"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

I appreciate the ease with which Frontegg can be deployed in our own environment, especially given our compliance requirements in the UK. The ability to use my own Postgres ensures my data remains under my control, aligning well with our compliance needs. This aspect is crucial to us. I also find that the documentation provided by Frontegg is very well-documented, which makes the setup process straightforward and hassle-free for someone with my developer background. This clear documentation allows me to understand and execute tasks efficiently without any concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

I find that Frontegg could improve by implementing some challenging features like email sending, messages, and OTP verifications. Additionally, having capabilities for repeated payment gateways and incorporating code blocks would enhance their offering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Auth Management but Mixed Setup Experience"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

I appreciate how Frontegg has streamlined operations for my team by migrating the management of local authentication setups to their platform. This transition has significantly reduced our engineering overhead and lowered the total cost of ownership. I am impressed by the supportive nature of the Frontegg team; they are usually quick to respond to our queries, which adds great value to our experience. The integration process, especially for frontend applications, was notably straightforward, saving us time and effort. Frontegg provides an excellent library that can be easily imported, allowing us to have authentication functionality ready on our app seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

I wish they would improve the Terraform side of their integration, as it would greatly help us. Also, the initial setup took some time and required a lot of discussion with the Frontegg team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Account Management with Room for Growth"
What do you like best about Frontegg?

I really appreciate using Frontegg as it serves as an excellent login and signup authentication platform. It has significantly helped us scale and carefully manage our accounts by providing an efficient user management tool and logging features. I find it extremely valuable that we can easily create multiple accounts, manage them, and monitor issues effortlessly on a single platform for all environments. This comprehensive integration under one roof simplifies operational processes and enhances our efficiency. Overall, these aspects make Frontegg an indispensable part of our tech ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frontegg?

I feel that Frontegg could include more metrics and user logs. This gap limits our ability to gain deeper insights into user interactions and system performance. Having access to more detailed metrics and comprehensive user logs would significantly enhance our capacity to monitor user activity and effectively troubleshoot issues. The product's integration with my existing tools, like the backend and API gateway, works really well. Most of the features in Frontegg were simple to plug in, reflecting its user-friendly nature. Thanks to the reliable service, I am looking forward to continuing to build on top of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
