I can't list all in only 40 characters? **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** Milage tracking needs a lot of work. (adding here to meed character min) **What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** A TON. Invoicing, adding taxes to invoices. Calculating expenses. Allowing me to link my bank account. (Which needs a bit of work. It often unlinks) Creating proposals. Seeing that a client has view an email. Too much to name. –I'm going to add what needs to be fixed here. Since there's no other place to do it. – Freshbooks is amazing all except for the milage tracking. I used the auto tracking where I went through all the steps to let it track my location, (set to always, set to precise location) all the steps Freshbooks mentioned. And it never tracked my location accurately. It would always calculate the route with straight short distances, shorting my miles. 

So, I started doing everything manually, but that’s a hassle too, because if I have to input each location, 4 times per day worked. And there’s not option to save address.

So, if I work 1 day at a particular studio and drive from my home to that location. I have to type in my address, then the location address for the “To” deduction. Then driving back home, I have to retype the studio location, then my home address for the “from” deduction. If I do this 3-4 times a week, it gets incredibly tedious. Not to mention it makes me input a time (which I’d like the option to bypass) but at the very least it would be nice to not have it track my phone’s time. And use last inputed time so it doesn’t keep incrementally changing as I spend the time manually typing each address in for the week. ### 4. Even individuals without accounting background will find its user interface to be straightforward and simple to use, making financial management a joy. In addition to keeping track of spending, I am also adept at managing invoices and generating financial reports; our company has also been successful in performing sales tax computations. I really enjoy how you can sync your bank transactions so you always know when your accounts are up-to-date. The most time-saving feature is the ability to collect payments immediately from the invoice. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** I think the reports could be more user-friendly if they were less complicated; having Fathom reports makes them seem complicated. **What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** To keep tabs on company money, send out invoices, and manage our bookkeeping, we utilize FreshBooks. Because of it, we have been able to automate time-consuming and error-prone tasks like repeating invoicing and tracking overdue payments. We are now better able to see the company's financial health and make strategic decisions thanks to the transparency of financial reporting. It facilitates a plethora of tasks, including expense control, budgeting, report review, invoice creation and sending, and payroll processing. To avoid financial losses, FreshBooks keeps us apprised of our project's financial status. ### 5. Freshbooks: Yes it's easy. They have all the things you need to get running, including payment processing, invoice sending, estimates, and more! Customer service is very friendly. All services are reliable enough for me to stay in business. They are not owned by Intuit. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** Freshbooks is consistently changing, which causes you to need to change to! Three years in and I'm on my second embedded processor. The second embedded processor has now had created a second, separate, account for literally no reason. They have increased their pricing to be just as high as the more capable QuickBooks Online. Their pages prompt you to refresh, instead of just refreshing themselves. Their banking connections just don't work sometimes, and they'll not be helpful nor when cominicative trying to get that fixed. I had random sign in attempts on my online banking for almost two weeks before FB finally moved me to another sync service! Random sign in attempts on online banking should NEVER EVER HAPPEN. EVER. On top of this, they engage in the same lies about processing time as all payment handlers. You will always *actually* get your money hours or days after they "send" it. We all know this could be instant, but they're making money on the float. Mobile app will not let you view an invoice without editing it. Mobile app forces you into a weird set of options when you want to save an invoice. Mileage tracking in the app is very unreliable. Not all services available on the website, including the browser version, are available in the app. The free accountant user is not capable of doing all the tasks and accountant would need. Your supposed salesperson will not respond to emails following rate increases. In fact, they will never talk to you again after they give you 3 to 6 months discounted. **What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are providing the services they advertise in an adequate way. Each situation I had support from my dedicated team member who would help fix, and walk me through how to fix it myself. Always answers the phone in US, and not a call center. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** The only issue I have found is the inability to connect more than one bank account, which some users have. Other than that limitation, nothing so far has been a problem. They can also upload a years worth of banking transactions to start a client. Integration is easy, I onboarded my company in 4 hours. **What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** I love that they have improved importing from banks from 3 months to 1 year of transactions. The customer support is absolutely top shelf. I have never had a bad experience with the Freshbooks support team. I've been using Freshbooks for almost 15 years. From the beginning, it was easy to implement into my business and easy to integrate into my workflow. I am in Freshbooks at least once per day tending to my bookkeeping, following up on invoices or writing new proposals. It is an absolute necessity for my small business. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** The only problem I've had over the years is that occasionally the bank connection will stop of automatically disconnect. It was a little tricky navigating to the actual person but once there fantastic. They even called me back to check on me. The system works easily for me the user and for my customers. I can easily turn on and off payment buttons as needed. Installing the system and transfer our exsisting customers was easy. I use it every day for all our clients. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** The only downsides I have found is that it does not have an automatic option to forward the credit card/ACH charges to the client, but is easy enough to make it a line item. The Sales Tax report could be better, adn actually total the gross , amount, taxable amounts, tax collected. It took me a while to figure out the settings for printing the report. It would be nice if it remembered my settings for printing the report. Would also be super helpful if it stored the sales Tax with the client details, instead of attached to the line items, but once you get in the practice of checking the sales tax it is not too bad and is easy to change. **What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have not had any problems ### 12. It has been the only invoicing system that I have used for my company. The process of adding Clients and generating invoices is not difficult. Whenever I have needed help, the FreshBooks support team has been quick to respond. I have seen the product evolve over the years to stay relevant with current technologies. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** There have been times when some larger scale settings have not seemed to "stick" across my invoices. After defining a default setting I will not see that setting implemented on my invoices. It is not a full-blown Accounting product such as Quickbooks. I've been using FreshBooks for over 7 years now and I would definitely recommend it. From the get-go it was extremely easy to set up and to connect with Stripe for payment processing. They now have integrated FreshBooks payment processing powered by Stripe and switching over was really easy. They've always provided good phone support for me if I ever had a question and they have detailed, step-by-step guides published for just about anything you could need. Over time as my business and number of clients grew I have increased my level of subscription to accomodate and I'm glad that they had tiered options. I like that I can create recurring invoices for each of my clients and that they can save their payment methods for easy billing instead of having to wait for checks in the mail. For invoices that are not recurring they offer automatic reminders that you can set before or after a payment due date to make your life easier not having to bug clients and remind them. FreshBooks also makes end of year accounting really easy. I keep track of all of my expenses on a monthly basis and at the end of the year it is easy to download/export the files that I need and I send these directly to my accountant who does the rest. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** The only issue I have is that if one of my clients updates their payment method, I have to remove the card from their file and then they have to enter the new information and click save on the next invoice that they are sent. To be clear FreshBooks does provide the ability to edit payment information for existing clients, but feature is restricted to a different pricing tier than that to which I'm currently subscribed. This feature is the only thing that I would like or need from the higher tier and it's not very often that I need to update a clients card on file so I haven't upgraded, but if it was a standalone feature that I could purchase or if it was available at my current level that would be great. **What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** FreshBooks helps me keep track of business expenses and export them into readable files for my accountant. They also help me send invoices and receive payment on them as most of my clients are out of state and prefer to pay by card instead of check. ### 21. It's a really easy to use accounting platform for anyone without an accounting background. I'm a freelancer so it's very easy to use their time tracking and bill my hours to clients as well as creates estimates, invoice project based work and set automatic monthly payments. It has a lot of great features that you can get up and running very quickly. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** It is terribly expensive compared to other similar services but has always been worth it in my opinion. However, recently they've changed their payment policies so that now, when a customer pays an invoice FreshBooks holds that payment for however long they'd like (some recent payments have taken a WEEK!) before passing the funds to my bank. They will remove the hold but only if you pay for their most expensive plan. If you're the type of business that needs money and relies on cashflow - stay away!!
