It's hard to pick just one thing that I like best about FreeWill. They provide in-depth support with a dedicated team member; they provide resources, feedback, and suggestions to make our campaigns successful; their platfrorm is dynamic and intuitive to use; and they reguarly ask for ways to improve and frequently implement them. This isn't something I dislike about FreeWill specifically, but I'd like to see more data on the long -term longevity of some of these commitments. Will we actually see the bequests from people who leave us in their will through FreeWill when they are in their 30's, 40's, and 50's? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful parts of FreeWill are the ease of finding legacy gift information and the way it's laid out for each person. The details that people submit through FreeWill are clearly marked and easily accessible. FreeWill's new AI companion, William, is incredibly helpful when creating donor outreach and marketing materials. The Learning Hub also has many great training sessions to enhance your legacy program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was a way to confirm that someone's bequest is genuine. For example, if someone submits a non-anonymous gift, we accept it as confirmed and add them to our legacy society. If these bequests have been added to the will in jest then there may be confusion when we welcome someone to the legacy society, or they may just not respond at all. It's a small problem but the time wasted with these bequests starts to add up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

FreeWill successfully manages to take a topic like planned giving, and make it easy to understand and navigate for both the consumer, and the nonprofit staff. Working with the FreeWill team is a breeze -- a dedicated Success Strategist keeps the organization focused on getting the work done in an organized and timely way. Content team comes up with copy based on our voice, and we're free to make edits as needed.
I originally discovered FreeWill through a series of free webinars, hosted by co-founder Patrick. I was impressed with the quality of content, and with his knowledge of fundraising in general. I continue to attend these sessions, as well as the partner training sessions for orgs that have signed on.
I'm also pleased with their partner portal, which offers education, training and a customized AI tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've been partnered with FreeWill for about two years, and so far there's nothing I dislike. It's been all been good, and the return on investment has been positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about FreeWill is the user friendly nature - very simple interface for users of varying levels of tech savvy. For that reason, I feel comfortable recommending to donors of all ages. And what a valuable thing FreeWill offers at no cost! And as a parnter organization, their customer service has been top-notch. Every team member I have interacted with has been friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their tools and support just keep getting better, so I'd be hard pressed to find a "dislike." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FreeWill is easy to use. The accessability is superb and it applies to all ages. The versatility of the program to be tailored made by the donor is outstanding. I wanted to have a Estate Planning tool that appealed to all ages, FreeWill does just that. We have received Estate Plans through FreeWill for ages 25 to 75, it more that exceeded my expectations.
Clayton Chamberlain, our Customer Support person, is outstanding. The best. He makes it easy and is always listens to our requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not enough people use it. We are marketing FreeWill and my hope is ore people will take advantage of this offering from Trevecca Nazarene University. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Freewill provides an invaluable set of resources both for your supporters and for you as a development professional. The will writing tool is easy for supporters to use, and the assistance that you receive in preparing and deploying campaigns to market the tool makes it easy to promote. The wraparound services, including weekly webinars on key planned giving topics and a fantastic suite of Canva designs for print marketing, ensure that you're making the most of Freewill's opportunities. Upgrades to portal functionality are always welcome (ease of filtering results, creating standard filter "profiles" that exclude contingent/teritary bequests so we can immediately see the number most useful to us, etc). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best things about FreeWill is their ability to make complex subjects easy to understand not only for the professional fund raiser but also for the donors who use their products to make a gift. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't think there are any true downsides to using FreeWill except not having enough time to use all that they offer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FreeWill has helped grow our Legacy Society by over 170%. The platform itself gives great insights as an admin but is also very easy to use as a donor. The regional featureship can be attributed for more than half of our gifts so we believe that's a great investment. The support that we receive from the FreeWill team ranges from strategy recommendations to stewardship communications, to content creation, to campaign planning and more. They are incredibly intuitive, creative, strategic, and just great to work with. They've taken most of the stress/burden around building a Legacy Society off our overcrowded plates. I can't recommend them (and especially Ellie!!) enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
An integration with Salesforce would be a nice to have but not necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The planned giving website that hosts our planned giving and smart giving suites is very informative and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is NOT FreeWill's fault, but it is difficult to train our donors to send gifts through our FreeWill suites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
