Everything just works with Freemius and I'm not having to spend a ton of developer resources fixing things. Not only that, I'm pretty sure sales are up as a direct result of moving to Freemius. Their checkout is intuative and they make upgrading licenses super easy. It's still early days but it's looking very promising. They handle all sales tax which is yet another headache that I don't need to deal with. I'm finally able to focus on improving the product and helping customers which is exactly what I wanted. I'm a non-tech plugin founder and they answer my (probably stupid) questions with grace, while providing really useful insights into where I can improve.
