Some year ago I was making WP Themes and selling with Themeforest but themeforest's reviewers starts review themes more faster and they doesn't review theme good they are rejecting soft hidden themes without say any discreption about rejecting reason and when you try upload again after some changes they blocking account! They are blocking too many account, They blocking big comanies whose sold more to $1 million dollar. My account is also blocked and when write to they for reopen my account Envato support team does not answear, I've lost my dream job make wp themes

I've been with Freemius for a few months now and I'm so glad I made the decision to switch from EDD. Everything just works with Freemius and I'm not having to spend a ton of developer resources fixing things.

Not only that, I'm pretty sure sales are up as a direct result of moving to Freemius. Their checkout is intuative and they make upgrading licenses super easy. It's still early days but it's looking very promising.

They handle all sales tax which is yet another headache that I don't need to deal with. I'm finally able to focus on improving the product and helping customers which is exactly what I wanted.

Finally, I have to say their support is great. I'm a non-tech plugin founder and they answer my (probably stupid) questions with grace, while providing really useful insights into where I can improve. 2nd year running that they took almost R1000 of my account, 1st year managed to get it refunded as I don't have a subscription with them...only to have them take another R1000 off my account and then come with the poor excuse of that the subscription was mistakenly not cancelled and they can't refund me because they must adhere as a RESELLER to the VENDOR's refund policy and now passes on the buck and responsibility to the vendor support who hasnt even boothered to respond to my emails. While my overall experience with Freemius has been fantastic, there's one minor inconvenience I've noticed. When logging in on my older iPhone 8, the login button is sometimes positioned outside the visible screen area, making it a bit inconvenient to access. I believe a slight adjustment to the login button's placement could enhance the user experience, especially for those using smaller screens.

I like the workflow enabled by it, which is the ability to manage a single codebase for both the free version designated for wordpress.org directory, and the premium version for selling. This also resulted in customer only needing to install the premium version and can safely delete the free version if they were using it before.

The next best thing is how it handles for me the various business aspects of a plugin business, so I can focus on what I enjoy most, developing and improving my plugins. I recently also tried out the affiliate feature, which is great. Super easy to set up and has enough insightful data from the affiliates that I can act upon. Nothing specific so far. They've made many improvements in response to privacy issues raised in the past, which is about the only thing I'm a bit worried about before deciding on using Freemius for my products. Freemius offers many great features, but the main feature is handling subscriptions, billings, disputes, and taxes! Besides the main one, there are many little useful ones, such as abandonment cart emails and important integrations with 3rd-party services like Mailchimp.
