What do you like best about Framer?

1. You can just simply give a prompt to the AI and it will generate a proper Website for the Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile frame.

2. You can integrate your designs from Figma and edit them on Framer. It also provides plugins on Figma so that users can easily integrate it and paste the content to Framer.

3. You can add animations and transitions to your existing website to make your website responsive and dynamic using AI and manually too.

4. It also provides templates and tutorials for better understanding.

5. You don't need very much prerequired knowledge to implement it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

1. The First thing I dislike in this application is Pricing. It only provides some features for free to use. For full control, you have to pay for it.

2. It doesn't allow the user to design independently by himself.

3. AI only generates some prefix websites and templates. It can't add attractive images from the internet. Only it uses vectored images on the whole website which I don't like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Framer?

Framer stands out as a robust prototyping and design tool, offering several advantages that cater to the needs of designers and developers. One notable advantage is Framer's emphasis on interactive and realistic prototyping. The platform allows users to create highly interactive and dynamic prototypes, providing a more accurate representation of the final product's user experience. Framer's integration with popular design tools like Sketch and Figma facilitates a seamless workflow, enabling users to import their designs effortlessly. The platform's coding capabilities, based on the widely-used React framework, empower designers to implement complex interactions and animations, bridging the gap between design and development. Framer's real-time collaboration features enhance teamwork, enabling designers and developers to work together on the same project simultaneously. Additionally, Framer's extensive component library and reusable design elements contribute to increased design consistency and efficiency. Overall, Framer excels in empowering designers and developers to create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes that closely resemble the final user interface, fostering collaboration and efficiency throughout the design and development process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

While Framer is a powerful tool for interactive prototyping and design, it does come with some potential disadvantages. One notable drawback is the steeper learning curve compared to other design tools. Framer's emphasis on coding and its integration with React may be challenging for designers who are not familiar with programming concepts. This learning curve can potentially slow down the onboarding process and hinder quick adoption by design teams. Additionally, the robust features of Framer come with a higher price point compared to some other design tools, which could be a limiting factor for smaller design teams or individual users with budget constraints. Furthermore, the reliance on coding for certain interactions may lead to a more technical and less visual design process, potentially limiting the creative freedom of designers who prefer a more visual approach. Despite these disadvantages, Framer remains a powerful tool for those who prioritize advanced prototyping and are willing to invest the time in mastering its capabilities. What do you like best about Framer?

From a practical standpoint, I love the ability to use the latest and greatest widgets, code snippets, npm packages (on github, codepen or sandboxes anywhere) in my designs and prototypes. From the standpoint of design systems and prototyping, once you get your head around its way of working, it gradually improves the fidelity of your designs in handoff to production (if you take the time to work with and understand flexbox and CSS properties). It took us about a year to fully transition from Sketch, Zeplin and Abstract. Along the way you come up many ways to use production code in your design system and vice versa. It gets your dev team collaborating with designers better, as each are learning to speak the other's language (a lot more than before)

No coding is required to put Framer into practice, but there is a learning curve (as you might expect with a transition to anything new - Figma, Marvel, Webflow, Invsion, etc) there will be some tradeoffs likely with your existing workflow. I feel I am better for the learning curve, as I now understand responsive web design and the capabilities of CSS / React far better and ultimately the process adjustments have resulted in massive time savings and efficiency. I actually look forward to my job each day exploring the endless extensibility of React in Framer to improve our design process and productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

They have made ventures into adjacent markets like CMS, Web Publishing and Animation, which are very much welcomed... but without completing core needs to establish Framer as a designer's tool of choice. My hit list would be: better component library management, design systems (for large scale sites) across projects, teams, and sites, and, icon library integrations. A generic icon component the user could set up themselves without code would be most ideal. SVG and support for basic editing is very limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Thank you for your positive review of Framer. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear about the benefits you've experienced.

We appreciate your suggestions for improvement, such as better component library management, enhanced design systems, and icon library integrations. Your feedback is important as we continue to enhance the platform.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Your feedback is invaluable in our ongoing efforts to provide an exceptional experience with Framer.

What do you like best about Framer?

Framer has helped me and my clients mostly in making really cool landing pages in seconds with easy to use tools and interface. We were able to implement its super cool features on its beautiful layout. We even added effects that made our pages even more attractive than usual. We have to give hats off for their integration with Figma that has enabled us to import our deigns from Figma and enhance it in Framer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

Their customer support is the only aspect of their service we had issues against. At times we were in confusion and upon contact they were slightly less responsive. Also they can remove the framer.ai domain and let us use our custom domain for some days in the trial period to really calculate the usefulness of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jurre Houtkamp of Framer

Hi there,

Thank you for your wonderful review of Framer! It's fantastic to hear how our tool has streamlined the creation of cool and effective landing pages for you and your clients. The emphasis on ease of use and seamless integration with Figma is something we're particularly proud of, so it's great to know these features are making a significant impact on your design process.

We also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding our customer support and the suggestion about custom domain usage during the trial period. We understand how important prompt and effective support is, and we're continually working on improving our responsiveness and the overall customer experience. Your suggestion about the custom domain during the trial is noted and will be considered as we seek to enhance our service.

It's rewarding to hear that Framer has been instrumental in your rapid editing and publishing needs, especially in creating SEO-friendly websites that attract significant traffic. We're excited to be part of your journey in UI/UX design, and we're committed to maintaining the high standards of service you've come to expect from us.

What do you like best about Framer?

As a UX/UI Designer heavily involved in product prototyping, Framer has been an indispensable tool in my arsenal. What stands out most about Framer is its robust set of features, especially its ease of creating interactive prototypes. The ability to seamlessly transition from design to code using its intuitive interface is a game-changer. The wide array of pre-built components and the flexibility to create custom ones have significantly expedited my prototyping process, enabling me to explore various design possibilities efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

One aspect that could be improved upon is the learning curve for beginners. While Framer offers extensive functionalities, it might be slightly daunting for newcomers or those transitioning from other design tools. Additionally, certain advanced features might require a bit more documentation or tutorials for users to fully harness their potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

Hey, it will be a week soon since my website is dysfunctional because of framer unable to generate a simple invoice from stripe and send it across. What do you like best about Framer?

Framer enables designers to create advanced web designs fast, and get them published in no time. It has a lot of sophisticated features in a very clean and intuitive UI. Easy to learn and powerful in its capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

At the moment, the CMS has some limitations when it comes to using it for blog posts with multiple inline media in the post content. But at the pace of great quality updates that the company is making to the platform, this should become a non issue anytime soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Framer?

Framer is hands down the most amazing tool I have ever come across! It has completely revolutionized my creative process, allowing me to explore new dimensions and unlock a whole world of possibilities. The level of excitement I feel about the capabilities it offers is truly unparalleled. Framer has given me a newfound sense of freedom in my designs, empowering me to push boundaries and think outside the box.

One of the major advantages of Framer is its ability to enhance creativity. The tool provides a seamless and intuitive interface that allows me to bring my ideas to life with ease. The powerful features and extensive customization options have truly expanded my design repertoire and allowed me to create stunning and interactive prototypes.

Another pro of Framer is its ability to adapt to my design style. It has completely transformed the way I approach design, leading to a significant shift in my design aesthetic. The flexibility and versatility of the tool have allowed me to experiment and explore new design techniques, resulting in truly unique and captivating user experiences.

However, it's important to note that Framer does come with a learning curve. Some aspects of the tool can be a bit tricky to grasp initially, especially for beginners. But I personally view this as a positive challenge that pushes me to learn and grow as a designer. With dedication and practice, I have been able to overcome these hurdles and fully harness the power of Framer.

In comparison to other design tools like Webflow, Framer offers a whole new level of creativity and interactivity. While Webflow is great for building websites, Framer takes it a step further by allowing me to create dynamic and immersive prototypes that truly showcase the user experience. The ability to seamlessly integrate animations, transitions, and interactions makes Framer my go-to tool for creating engaging and visually stunning designs.

In conclusion, Framer is a game-changer for designers. It provides an unparalleled level of creativity, offering endless possibilities and pushing the boundaries of design. Although there may be a learning curve, the rewards are well worth the effort. If you're looking to take your designs to the next level and unleash your creativity, I highly recommend giving Framer a try. It's a journey that will undoubtedly lead to exciting and groundbreaking designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Framer?

When it comes to Framer, there are a few aspects that I find somewhat disappointing. Firstly, the lack of certain basic functionalities such as multilingual support and more extensive options for custom animations is a drawback. These are features that I believe would greatly enhance the overall user experience and provide even more creative possibilities.

However, it's important to note that despite these limitations, Framer still remains an incredibly powerful and innovative tool. Its ability to transform the way I approach design and its vast range of features outweigh any shortcomings. While there may be some areas for improvement, Framer continues to be my go-to choice for creating exceptional and interactive prototypes.

In summary, although there are a few features I wish were more robust in Framer, its overall capabilities and impact on my design process are undeniable. It's a tool that pushes boundaries and empowers designers to think outside the box. While there may be room for growth, Framer remains an invaluable asset in my creative toolkit.
