Ideally, we should approach the point where it is real-time transmitting instead of every 15-60 minutes per ping/location update. **Recommendations to others considering FourKites:** I would simply say that this is an excellent place to start if you're looking to improve your companies visibility. It has an excellent easy to use and interpret interface but still manages to be a versatile and complex platform. They do a great job in providing simplicity features and allowing you to adjust the interface to something more customizable if you're looking to refine, filter, sort, and get complex. **What problems is FourKites solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solving a visibility problem. Not being able to be accountable for where our loads during land freight transportation is a liability that can be susceptible to: low carrier quality/accountability, freight theft, and more. Being able to see where our loads are at all times doesn't only help keep carriers accountable and protect against losing our loads to theft. It also helps be proactive by knowing when a load might be late so we can update customers ahead of time to provide the best customer service. ### 16. It builds transparency and accountability between brokers and carriers, which is turns helps increase transparency between brokers and their customers. **What do you dislike about FourKites?** If a driver gets near their destination, but does not actually arrive (i.e. driving down a frontage road passing facility they will be delivering at later) it marks that the driver is on-site, which causes confusion -- have to call the driver for an accurate ETA and location update. **Recommendations to others considering FourKites:** Utilize FourKites with a TMS/CRM system that is compatible with add-ons. This way, freight tracking/GPS is built into your current system and allows you to view/edit/utilize everything in one place -- this has been a huge convenience to my company. FourKites can be connected to outside ELD providers, such as Trucker's Edge and Samsara...however it is dependent on what ELD you transportation partners use -- some older ELDs require a fee to be integrated within FourKites, which makes it hard to use FourKites as a selling point in your business. **What problems is FourKites solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the problem of "we said, they said" because the ELD and ETAs are real-time, so we have see problems right as they are happening and diagnose it accordingly. This way, it entices carriers to be on-time and in good standing with their logistics provider. Benefits include being able to focus more on finding and booking freight, rather than trying to reach a driver/dispatcher by telephone to get an update. ### 18. It definitely is a safer option for drivers so that they aren't constantly on the phone. It would be great to implement this on a device placed directly onto the product for tracking, vs, the drivers cell phone. **What do you dislike about FourKites?** Being a broker, its hard to force drivers/carriers to download an app on their phone. Also, whenever there is spotty service the appt wont begin tracking. There has been geofence issues, which has been beginning to resolve, but it does cause issues with loading/emptying out a load when its not true. It takes a lot of time out of our day to teach every driver to download and use the app. I have 4 team members who must use Fourkites for their customers, and about 20% of their day is now Fourkite related. **What problems is FourKites solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its great to find out if a driver is actually where they say that they are... we can see almost immediately if a driver is telling the truth or not on his location. When i log in, all of our key shipments and tracking information is in plane site. No longer do i have to place undue responsibility on our rep with the constant follow up, but it gives me the ability to follow up when I want, as often as I need to. **What do you dislike about FourKites?** Well overall i really love the site and there isn't much to improve on. However, when specifically searching an ASN, sometimes it doesn't pick them up and stops the search. However, since most of our orders are on the main screen, all I have to do is scroll to find the ASN in question. **What problems is FourKites solving and how is that benefiting you?** Oh my goodness, all sorts of problems! I'll start with time management. I save so much time being able to see where my shipments are in real time. No more time wasted on my end or on the end of my rep Angie Rakers, who is amazing I might add. This site also helps me keep all required parties well informed with the right information at the right time, readily available. ### 33. Fourkites makes it easy to track the freight from the moment it picks up from the factory, to the moment it is sent to the second freight carrier, to the moment it delivers to our doorstep. **What do you dislike about FourKites?** The only thing we would request is the eventual ability to see all of Gensco’s masterloads/BOLS. This would make it easy to follow the freight the entire time, rather than only being able to gain an estimate on when the freight picks up and will be delivering to the destination carrier. **What problems is FourKites solving and how is that benefiting you?** My occupation at Gensco is “Commercial Logistics Tracking Coordinator.” This entails tracking up to 100+ line items of freight and forwarding updates to customers daily. As well the possibility of seeing what was the reason of any delay it is a great option to have. Is very good also that FourKites provides an estimated time or arrival when any of this delays happens. Why ? Well, it gives us the chance to provide more accurate information to the final customer in terms of deliveries on time, delays or misses of the loads **What do you dislike about FourKites?** that it depends on how the truck is working, for example if it doesn't ping, you don't get any updates for the load you're looking for.There should be an option or alert that Four Kites may have which informs the carrier that the truck is not pinging and giving tracking information updated. In this way the carrier should contact the driver in order to make any update manually on the system and provided accurate information to the user. In this way the carrier should not be notified or contacted by us requesting for tracking information. **Recommendations to others considering FourKites:** Is a very good tool, if you need to track something by your own instead of sending emails to the carriers **What problems is FourKites solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking loads to make sure they make on time delivery,providing accurate updates to the final customer, helping us to recover missed loads to recover withing the SLA given. As well this tool give us the chance to provide a better customer service on what we do and taking this to next level to keep our customers happy. ### 35.
