The SPAM detection rate is very good. Sanitization feature works excellent, the documents look the same after sanitization compared to the competitors. Personal message management. **What do you dislike about Fortra Secure Email Gateway?** The Helpsystems knowledge base is not as good as it used to be with Clearswift. Finding solutions is complicated. There is no user forum for the Clearswift products. **What problems is Fortra Secure Email Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** Protects the company and employees from SPAM and dangerous mails (malware, virus, active content). So not much to say. The gateway is working great. And if there are problems in configuration, the support-team is awesome. **Recommendations to others considering Fortra Secure Email Gateway:** Give it a try. It is worth it. Does things regarding email al lot easyier. **What problems is Fortra Secure Email Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are filtering and controlling emails, and the mailflow. Looking for spam and viruses. Encryption, decryption fully automaticaly. DKIM build in. Not much action by stuff needed. ### 3. Why not activate all the stuff available within the software for one single price? The detection of phishing emails could be better. **Recommendations to others considering Fortra Secure Email Gateway:** SEG also has the ability to encrypt and decrypt emails using SMIME. The company vision is clear to help stop these evolving threats and work closely with security and internal technology teams to ensure the proper usage is put into practice from day one. The technology and team behind the Clearswift brand supports their customers like no other vendor. **What do you dislike about Fortra Secure Email Gateway?** There are difficulties and challenges in getting the message out to the marketplace when so many vendors are competing in the space or bundling similar technology products. The marketing traffic can become noisy and prevent companies from doing the proper research because they are in a rush for a band-aid to their problem. There is a disadvantage to Clearswift when other vendors are just shouting louder instead of delivering the solution. The little fish in the big pond applies here but we all know the story of Nemo or the little engine that could! **What problems is Fortra Secure Email Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solving against the latest phishing scams and protecting the existing proprietary data from data loss or leakage (DLP) has been a challenge for many organizations. Clearswift's latest tools help automate and enforce the security policies (one and done) by Clearswift's Secure Email Gateway (SEG) and one of the primary reasons so many customers realize the value of the product. Trusting a vendor today with your data is a privilege to the vendor and part of the relationship engagement, another value to the customer when deciding the Clearswift family of products. ### 5. Beyond a great product the team (sales, support and product) are top notch and are always working to help customers be successful. **What do you dislike about Fortra Secure Email Gateway?** I've been very satisfied with the product. Better support in a SaaS based version would be nice though. **Recommendations to others considering Fortra Secure Email Gateway:** Clearswift is SMG is a overall a very competent agile platform. The DLP (what I'm most familiar with) is very powerful and can be relied on to not give you false positives. The ability to redact PII data directly in your documents is great. **What problems is Fortra Secure Email Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed to have solid DLP that would detect outbound PII and protect this. We needed encryption (when it was required) but also didn't need to encrypt the PII. Clearswift allows us to detect PII and based on the data classification we may just apply outbound Redaction vs Encryption. ### 6. The ICAP Gateway has also be used by many Managed File Transfer customers for DLP to add DLP and threat prevention to their existing secure file transfer solutions. ### 8. No way to view outbound spam emails Macro detection/bypass needs integration into spamlogic, so email addresses can be whitelisted from there **What problems is Fortra Secure Email Gateway solving and how is that benefiting you?** It still our first line of defence for emails, so it is still catching bad emails but not enough ### 13.
