FME platform handles data from a range of systems, including APIs, Excel sheets and GIS tools and it makes it straightforward yo bring everything together in FME and i regularly use transformers such as Tester and Joiner and the integrations with PostgreSQL and REST APIs have worked smoothly for me without issues. Sometimes debugging workflows takes longer than I expect and it can end up feeling less useful thsn other software where I can adjust workflows more easily as requirements change, the scheduling and automation features have also been reliable for me, which I do appreciate. The automation side of the FME platform is where it really shines for me. I’ve set up workflows that pull data from APIs clean it up, and then push it into SQL servers without me having to touch it again afterwards The tool library is pretty deep and once you get familiar

Whether its the desktop Form product or server Flow product, FME makes data jobs easier to figure out, QA/QC achievable, and flexible with it's ability to incorporate different tools within a space. Pricing is reasonable for an organization, and the ROI on my day-to-day tasks huge. Support and On-Line training is fantastic and responsive. FME Flow helps with a lot of sustainable data pipelines for various departments in my organization (mid-size airport). Easy to pick up. The UX can be a little daunting at first, but once you create a bunch of workspaces, it gets easier. FME Form is a server app so finding the correct business process for either scheduling, automations, or server/application app development can be a little tricky to suss out if you don't use it weekly. FEM every day to build repeatable pipelines that pull data from our internal databases, combine it with GIS layers and push the results to our cloud systems. Once everything is set up, it just runs, which is exactly what we need. The scheduling and automation side is where it helps us the most. I mainly use FME to connect our PostGIS database with ArcGIS and to work with the CSV dumps we get from vendors. Once I’ve set up a workflow, it easy much runs on its own and I don’t have to think about it again. For me, the biggest win is the format support it can tead almost anything I throw at it. FME, you really have to understand where each transformer should go, otherwise, you can end up revisiting and reworking parts of the workflow. FME coming from a SQL background I really like how FME lets me pull data straight from from our database and shape it without having to write down a long queries in every time. I still use SQL when itself needed but FME helps the bridge gap when i need to combine database data with Excel sheets or ATS exports. A lot of the time it feels quicker for me to write a query than to build the same logic in FME especially when its a smaller tasks. FME is one of those tools really shines when things get complicated. I’ve used it to pull together data from GIS systems spreadsheets and APIs and turn it into clean usable output. We use FME to connect multiple systems that don’t naturally work together primarily GIE tools, SQL databases and cloud apps. Being able to build workflows visually and then reuse those workflows, has made our work far more efficient and just as importance more consistent from run to run. FME some days everything feels urgent at once clients deadline internal updates last minute changes FME helps because once workflows are set up, they just simply run. I don’t have to worry about whether the data will match or not. FME platform is very useful for ETL tasks which supports more than 450 data formats.

It makes ETL tasks very simple with it's no code platform.

FME executes tasks very fast when compared to scripts developed. The development efforts are also very less.

Server platform allows scheduling of tasks and provides different features for automating execution.
