Building workflows for pulling data and moving it to relevant environments. Flowgear significantly reduces the work required, in comparison to writing out all the code required to build the relevant connectors.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

Most of the errors you incur, you will probably be the first to encounter them, thus making it difficult to handle.

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

If you are struggling just reach out to their help centre. They are quite responsive.

Streamlining business processes, reduced man hours on repetitive tasks

  ### 11. Flow Gear: Integration Done Right

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Confidence S. | NOC Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

Flowgear is very easy to use for simple integration, and can be a really powerful tool when you need more complex integration, it is suitable for anyone from the simplest user to the most advanced user.
They have an amazing support team that is always willing to go beyond to assist you in all your requirements, no question is too tough for them.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

It can get very complicated and can sometimes require in depth knowledge of the products you want to integrate and in return this causes frustration when one is an end user with limited knowledge of the product's back end and needs to integrate.
The platform also has a very limited FAQ and tutorials, without the training it would be very difficult to get started on your own...

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

Flow Gear is an Amazing product that can integrate almost anything given the right knowledge and their Support is amazing, always helpful and insightful.

The Training offered by the company is a total must for all beginners that wish to integrate themselves.
The Training Covers everything from using the tool as a standard user, using the tool as an intermediate developer, all the way to being an advanced user that creates their own integration Nodes.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Flowgear to help a client transition from an old solution to a new solution, the change over is being done in phases and the client wants to avoid duplicate work, so we use flow gear to sync between the old and new system.

  ### 12. Epic ETL tool that's actually fun to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan B. | DBA\SQL BI Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

The fact that it's cloud-based, but the drop points let you into the private networks you need to access. This gives the best of both worlds.

The large array of existing nodes enables you to connect directly to a large number of Systems.

The ease of use and the cool interface that is actually fun to work with.

The Quickmap is a great tool that lets you do so much in one step.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

Manipulating strings can be fiddly when you need to cut them up, but this can be overcome with a little bit of C# script in a Script node.

I've had problems trying to pull reports from an SSRS site unless you can switch the authentication to basic for the web call.

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

Flowgear is a very flexible platform and does most tasks "out the box". Any very specialized tasks can also be done with the use of either the script node or custom nodes.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I load a central warehouse of technical data, from many different servers at separate clients with a few workflows. This lets me simplify the reporting and management of these SQL servers.

I can manage several hundred SQL Servers, in isolated networks for unrelated clients, from a central control panel, with the backend work being done by flowgear.

The API lets me call workflows that can perform actions directly against the relevant SQL server from a simple web call in my consol.

I also use Flowgear to generate reports to the client either directly from the client's server or from my warehouse.

  ### 13. Flowgear - Best iPaaS tool yet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florian H. | Lead Project Manager, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

The biggest advantage of Flowgear in my mind is the easy of use, building of integrations without deep coding knowledge and the use of Droppoints to connect on-site and/or legacy systems to the cloud and use the data in reporting and other workflows. Furthermore, the Flowgear support team is excellent and helps when one gets stuck or needs some advice ito possible workflow execution.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

I was not yet able to discover anything that I couldn't do or I couldn't achieve in this tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

If you are also on a drive to automate workflows in your business and create efficiencies, I highly recommend this great tool.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have successfully build integrations between e-Commerce store (Woocommerce) and SageOne, integrations between Odin, AutoTask and SageOne (in our Managed Services business), Dynamics 365 and various other products (e.g. SageOne). There are endless possibilities. The ability to control and time your workflows as and when needed is a big plus for us.

  ### 14. Exactly what we needed, at the right time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew V. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

Integration was easy to set up for all our API needs. We received great support and the service was easily adapted for to our needs and requirements. Being able to manage and review the log for each workflow helped a lot when it was required to track down specific problem. The ability to do this online from any location via a web browser is very convenient as a developer who needs to be available for 24/7 support.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

The web user interface is a bit hard to get used to when you want to make alterations to workflows. Being a Full-stack web developer I had to learn basic C# to be able to maintain the workflows on a daily basis. This is not as much a dislike as it benefits me as a developer as well in the long run.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to link our in store stock and item levels with our online store. They run on 2 different systems and server locations and with Flowgear this was easy to achieve without the need for development skills on both programming languages.

Flowgear acts as an integration point between mobile apps used by our sales consultants and a Pastel system.
Flowgear automatically creates orders processed by the mobile apps on Pastel along with all the associated product line items plus accessories and performs validation checks on information captured on an order.
Flowgear is also responsible for generating job sequence numbers for products on orders.

  ### 16. Simplistic yet powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MARIUS V. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transacting between systems and integrating API's at very low costs. Replacing tasks that are very prone to human-error.

  ### 17. Flowgear - iPaaS done right

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

*Cloud-native Integration platform with RPA baked into the platform
*Fully baked to support on-prem integration (Hybrid platform)
*Ability to spec up an API with clicks not code in minutes (Salesforce buzzword)
*Ability to drag, drop, and connect nodes to spin up in an integration = minutes of works
*Ability to create Data Transformations from Source to Target with DAX (Excel) like functions. This is my favorite part. I mean you don't have to learn a full blown functional programming language, like DataWeave in Mule to create powerful data transformations. Some Excel savy and you can get Analyst's to build this stuff out.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

Not much.

I would like to see this compete with Mule (Large Enterprise) eventually and to do so, Flowgear needs to be able to take advantage of the API Economy and create an exchange like portal so that developers (internal and external)can reuse assets and components.

Mule has RAML (Rest API Modeling Language) to spec up API's quickly, and an exchange which allows users to tap into pre-exsiting/built assets. I'd like to see if there is a way in Flowgear to see the API's logic, instead of touching the orchestration that's done to build them. Maybe have the API converted into a proprietary language (like RAML is to Mule) ,so that a developer can jump in and quickly make sense of the API.

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

When considering next gen tech for integration, make sure you evaluate this product and it's capabilities. Not much it can't do!

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enterprise and SMB integration done quickly and efficiently.

With this platform, you can integrate and execute integrations quickly leveraging workflows.

  ### 18. Flowgear connects all your applications

**Reviewed by:** Albie J. | Web development manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

Flowgear's ability to interconnect pretty much anything a commercial operation is already running, from warehousing systems to front-end customer systems. This universal compatibility along with a deep programmatic transformation system, while being easy to use, makes Flowgear a winner.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

There is nothing about Flowgear not to like.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interconnectivity between client and service provider systems. The one is Salesforce based and the other a hosted web application solution in Azure.

  ### 19. Simple

**Reviewed by:** Tarren M. | COO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

Excellent value for money. We were shocked to see that it was priced at roughly 50% discount compared to most of its competitors, so we took the free trial to see if it would meet our requirements. So far we have found it to be the best enterprise integration platform on the market. Service has also been phenomenal.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

  ### 31. Flowgear - integration experiences in a small business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

I am a 'tech savvy' business owner rather than IT professional. Like many businesses today I have the ambition to move away from my legacy IT systems to modern Cloud computing products. Integrating the new systems is a challenge, which I am solving with Flowgear. I researched many of-the-shelf integrations for my cloud systems, but they were mostly too generic or too expensive or both. Owning my own enterprise integration system was too expensive in cost, maintenance and training. For me, Flowgear is a great compromise between these 2 approaches.
The drag and drop interface is very easy to use.
The entry level pricing plans are very affordable while gaining confidence and knowledge of the platform.
Email support is very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

The documentation for Flowgear is basic and factual. Expansion of the knowledgebase would be helpful for those starting out on the platform.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating Cloud CRM, Accounting, Sales Order Processing and Product database using API and EDI techniques

  ### 32. No-fuzz, easy to learn and use

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

- Support various source databases, systems and interfaces
- Mostly XML driven with easy conversions to JSON
- If used to ETL / SSIS type environments, it is quick to configure
- Visual Workflow steps which can be re-used via input parameters
- Automation ETL workflow with error feedback options

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

Native SQL Bulk Loading can at times become slow and clunky
** HOWEVER, it is easy to work-around with looped/block code logic

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

It is inexpensive to test the system by using the lowest tier of service. Once you get used to it, it will be quick to see the benefits of upgrading to the bigger packages which provides Workflow history and logs. For application development, I would highly recommend looking at the API feature available where doing application architecture. Exposing data via API for GET & POST is much quicker than coding the API's in-house.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Connection to multiple source servers/clients through port 80 and minimal firewall configuration
- Visibility of disparate data environments and ability to consolidate data to centralised environment

  ### 33. Great support, extremely powerful and affordable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

We love the balance of drag-and-drop connections with full scripting/programmability. We need it to be usable for developers, support staff, and professional services; and it has that flexibility. We also love that we can write custom nodes in .NET.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

Very little. I wish it had two-factor authentication, and sometimes it can be hard to drag-and-drop connections when zoomed out really far on the graphical view. But these are very minor complaints.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to provide customized integrations for our clients with far less software development. We decided early on that we really didn't want to expose a full public API. So with this tool we can maintain an internal API and create our own integrations, or use it to expose a tailored API to specific clients.

  ### 34. Excellent Support with Flexible tool

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

Flowgear has been able to integrate with a number of key platforms for us with flexible output options.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

Flows can be somewhat complex and not as easy to "learn" as I would like.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved a number of platform connections and it's allowing us to integrate data across platforms in real-time.

  ### 35. Very powerful and time saving platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marius v. | Director Implementation Consultant, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

The fact that I can rapidly prototype integrations

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

Certain functions can be expensive to gain access to, for example usage to the API or version control

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

Once you start using Flowgear as your go to automation and integration builder, you will not go back

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating tasks for clients, reducing user involvement and thus mistakes and fraud.

  ### 36. System Integration Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn D. | Owner, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

The possibilities for integration are endless. I have not yet encountered an integration scenario that could not be achieved with Flowgear.
The design surface brings one as close as one can get to "coding without writing code".
It's cloud-hosted. I don't need to install any software in order to design workflows.
Their developer support is top-notch.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

There really is nothing I dislike about using Flowgear.
However, I would like to see DropPoints being registered via an API Key, instead of via an email address/password.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrations between various independent systems.
Benefits have been that I did not have to write my own "integration windows services" to do polling and monitoring for events. Setting up Flowgear workflows turned out to be a lot quicker than self-building.

  ### 37. Incredibly configurable and powerful, easy to use, easy to debug

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

One of the absolute best features of this service is the Activity Log: Every workflow you create gets everything logged. Every action, every chunk of data and every type of error. Sometimes you will have to dig deeper to find out where you've gone wrong, but thanks to the logging filterable by exact day and time, you will have, at the least, some place to start or reference. Logs also go back up to 30 days I believe, which is neat.

The second best thing about Flowgear would be the support: If you have any problem or confusion regarding anything, don't hesitate to shoot out an email or talk to them through Intercom (recently implemented). They get back incredibly fast and are really helpful in solving any problems you may have. Feature requests are also taken into consideration and discussion behind the scenes. I recently requested this feature to have the ability to see what workflows, a selected workflow appears in. (you can make workflows that use each other. It's very much like Object Oriented Programming on a bigger scope) It was implemented no more than a month later and makes this tool incredibly powerful.

Last but not the least, you can pretty much build any automation you want. There are nodes for everything: Web requests, PDF conversion, Excel parsing, XML handling, JSON handling, Custom Scripts etc. If you don't find something you want, you can either request it or make it yourself. (Although I haven't gotten into that just yet so I don't know how straightforward it is.)

And that brings me to one of the other most powerful features of this: You can even make your own API because each workflow can act like an HTTP endpoint. You can specify what you want it to be: GET, POST, DELETE, whatever you need and you can send any kind of data. You can also let workflows run forever or on schedule, by month, week or day, down to the interval and minute. There is nothing else on the market right now that allows for this amount of flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

Don't expect to be writing really custom code that utilizes packages from Nuget for example. (Flowgear is C# based I believe) You have the ability to write some amount of custom scripts but they're mostly scoped: they perform one or two operations. For example, custom code to clean whitespace & double quotes in HTML so they can be sent through JSON. You can't write code to interact with more depth just yet. However, this is not something of concern for us at the moment, as we've built a lot of incredibly complex systems without needing to have this functionality.

Most of the nodes are also XML based. (Pretty powerful actually) There is a node to pull data from JSON and converting JSON to XML (and vice-versa), but other than that, you'll have to write custom code to work with JSON. This might change in the future.

Only other gripe would be the administrative features for the company account. I believe they're still in development but adding new users and managing their permissions currently has to be done by talking directly to support. You can easily make sub-sites, with multiple users though, it's just that its not in the web app yet.

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

This is one of the best automation tools out there with a lot of flexibility. However make sure you go through your requirements first. This is not like Zapier, FlowXO or Automate IO. This is for companies that need more power and customizability.

If you just want more complex integrations between multiple services, go with Flowgear.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved a lot of problems with this tool, so much so that it has become indispensable.

#1: Automating an incredible number of our processes. Creating Zendesk tickets for example, with data pulled from many different sources based on triggers from other services.
#2: Serving as an API endpoint for our internal apps. (amazing!)
#3: Setting business processes to run on a schedule.
#4: Automating email delivery.
#5: Running business processes to be triggered by webhooks.

  ### 38. Awesome product and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim M. | Chief Steward & CEO, Staffing and Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

Easy way to connect web APIs and local systems together. Zero installation time and amazing range of capabilities. The support is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

There is really nothing I dislike ... I'm a huge Flowgear fan and it was a perfect fit for our requirements after testing multiple competitors such as Boomi, Snaplogic, Biztalk, Mulesoft, etc, etc. Best price/performance and quickest to get started with.

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

This is way better/quicker to get going, less expensive than others I tested like Boomi, Snaplogic, and Mulesoft. True 100% cloud business model.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating multiple systems with very complex business process requirements.

  ### 39. This product is flexible, reliable and easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clint d. | Systems Manager, Wholesale, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Flowgear?**

The user interface feels very intuitive and is neatly laid out.

**What do you dislike about Flowgear?**

That we didn't start using a product such as Flowgear sooner.

**Recommendations to others considering Flowgear:**

I would recommend Flowgear to anyone looking for a platform that saves time and increases data capturing accuracy.

**What problems is Flowgear solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using Flowgear, we save ourselves hundreds of hours of work every year. Capturing data is now a pleasure and affords us more time to focus on customer service rather than data capturing. As a result, we have increased our efficiency while making fewer errors.
