I can't say enough good things about the platform and the added features that are being released. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** The only function I find inefficient to use is signing off on reconciliation. I am admin, though I do not specialize in IT. My role at my company is senior accountant. So easy to navigate and make changes. We recently added flux analysis program to our recon susbscription, and the presentations from the reports are very nice and easy to follow. No more manual processes! We are implementing to add one more feature to our subsriction called Remind. We are looking forward to the email campaigning and time this will save us. Highly recommended! **What do you dislike about FloQast?** Integrating Oracle Fusion is not easy. We are still pushing TB to recons manually. This has more to do with Oracle than FQ. Chart of Accounts do not have an integration either, and when we have 20+ ledgers, it's time consuming to update each one manually. Sometimes the close/flux module get mixed up and users don't easily understand how to get back to the recons. I am able to help with this and in reality, just takes practice and training. Otherwise, I don't have much else to dislike about FQ. **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** We could not use ARCS with Oracle Fusion. That system was poorly designed and time consuming. This saves a lot of time and is easy to use. The reporting is also much easier to follow. ### 5. They listen, they want to help, they want to partner and seek a solution. The implementation went well with the initial team. Now on "steady state" they continue to partner and work through next steps for optimizing the tool. The tool as a whole is easy to administer and user adoption has been huge largely because it is intuitive and easy to use. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** I fear we are already out of capacity with Floqast. Because of size and grouping limitations (which Blackline did warn me about), we do not have the automation and efficiencies I had hoped to gain. As a note - we are not that big, comparability, in our industry, we are the smallest and not even close to mid-size. So the sizing limitations and workarounds have been bothersome. I did ask these questions in the scoping and was assured we would not have an issue. The implementation used old checklists. While we were clear a new one was coming, the implementation team was too motivated to start. This resulted in the wrong checklists loaded, we tried to fix multiple times and this resulted in a lot more manual efforts on our side to fix. It is not working as intended but could have been avoided if the implementer listened and said they had a draft during the scoping and we would provide the final. These limitations are manifesting as we are trying to implement other tools, such as Flux resulting in another workstream and lack of automation or completeness to make it as efficient as it could be. The flux/variance has a way to go before it will save us time. Of highest priority is rolling comments and seeing multiple flux together ( QoQ, Q to Budget, Q to Sequential Quarter) as an example. **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** Preparing reconciliations one time vs. multiple times is the biggest benefit of FloQast. We are now notified of those going out of balance rather than checking reconciliations multiple times during close. ### 8. Reconciliations can stay in the format that we were used to. We did not have to conform to a standard format that they dictated. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** The inability to link across companies. We have 57 companies and numerous intercompany transactions. I simply want to know that they net to zero and then we are in balance. We did find a solution, but it required a third party to pull the balances from our ERPs and push to a consolidated company so we can review and see that they net to zero **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** All reconciliations are in a single place. We have a preparer and a reviewer. We have our close checklists also in FloQast with signoffs. As the controller I can look at any reconciliation, check the status of where we are on the close and we can give the auditors access to review our recons instead of gathering and uploading to them. ### 9. The software itself does an excellent job of interfacing with month-end checklists and reconciliations and provides solid real-time KPI's and audit reports. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** There is nothing major that I do not like about FloQast. It is easy to use right out of the box and easy to train others on the platform. It also is a great management tool to keep everyone on track and focused throughout all of our regional teams. Having 8 different regions we have accounting books in it is so great to have a tool like FloQast that centralize all of our tasks for us. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** The biggest downfall of FloQast is the flux analysis tool. There is definitely a lot of upside to the flux tool but there are some limitations with this. The 2 biggest being 1: FloQast does not have the capability to convert different currencies into USD and 2. We can not add in calculations/ratios into our Flux tool including inventory turnover calc or % of AR reserve to total AR. **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem it is solving is that it is centralizing all of our regions into one place. It is easy to track metrics on close status, reconciliations etc through the use of the FloQast tool. ### 15. Maintaining a close checklist in excel is fraught with errors, version control, rollforwards, etc. FloQast gets rid of all these issues and provides a dashboard with an overview of the close status. We also use it for recurring weekly and bi-weekly tasks, such as cash flow forecasting, payroll entries, and expense reimbursements. FloQaqst ReMind has helped us to eliminate mass emails - we set up recurring emails to remind people to submit expense reports, request information around incentive-based comp from owners, and reach out to our lenders for supporting documentation. It saves so much time! FloQast took us less than 6 weeks to implement and the process was simple. The tool integrates well with Sage Intacct, our ERP, and gives us real-time results of JEs simply by hitting the refresh button. The best thing about FloQast, though, is the customer support. I have never encountered another vendor so eager and willing to help. The tool in constantly evolving and my success manager always keeps me updated. They also love hearing about new use cases, so when I tell them I want to leverage a function for something different, they get excited! It's a great tool and a fantastic company - you can't go wrong with them! **What do you dislike about FloQast?** I found the stub periods cumbersome to use relative to the rest of my experience. You have to get support to re-upload the TBs rather than being able to refresh on your own. **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reducing manual efforts, making us aware of variances in a timely manner, and keeping us on track in the midst of audit, acquisitions, etc. ### 16. The checklist and reconciliation tools have been a game changer for moving forward our close, in terms of team collaboration, automation of the responsibilities, and holding each other accountable to move through the close process. The variance analysis has also helped tremendously in pulling our accounting function out of just reconciling and into understanding; and the FQ variance analysis reports automatically update each month which means there is no admin work to build monthly. FQ is extremely reliable and never ever has admin issues. It is easy to use and you can learn to become an expert in hours. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** Licensing is expensive and adding more users means potentially significant incremental costs. The checklist, reconciliation and variance analysis are fairly straight forward and despite how reliable and effective these tools are, the cost feels high. **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automating roll forward of the checklist and variance analysis. The close workflow is a game changer when it comes to monthly reporting. We're able to reconcile all our balances regularly with centrally stored evidence. FloQast has significantly improved our month-end process in terms of quality and accuracy. FloQast is user friendly and easy on the eye as well. The implementation of FloQast was seamless and my team and I found it very easy to switch from excel reconciliation and email checklists. The customer support/experience team make it easy for us by promptly replying to our issues. A special shout out to Raheel Zafar. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** FloQast is still new in the market and are far away from their ceiling. There bits and pieces that could still improve when it comes to the tool. The user access roles could be refined to a more granular level. For example, if we could drill down into the details of the TB via FloQast. Sometimes we have to do manual TB pushes to FloQast by triggering it in Oracle -- it would be nice if there was a way to do that from within the FloQast software. **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** One problem I had at other companies is, when last minute or unexpected entries were booked, there was not an automated way to identify which users needed to update reconciliations and flux comments. The time that is taking the team to close the period, as well as to perform certain tasks that are important, and being able to visualize what's delaying the close and how can we improve. The customer support everytime I send an email for help is actually pretty good and the FloQast team always try to help as soon as possible. Lastly, the implementation process was pretty good. Joseph Bryant was our consultant at that time and we was always super supportive and helped us implement in the timeline we had planned. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** In our company we have lots of countries and legal entities created and so we have been asking the FloQast team to be able to filter the period we want to look at from the Dashboard - Overview tab for all entities. If the team is not done with MArch, and they are also working on April but May started already, it turns messy to see all months status for all worflows. Also, not being able to select all workflows and have the Reconciliations and Analytics tab is something we also don't like. Transitioning into a new software can be a bit of a headache, but the obstacles with learning FloQast were very, very minimal. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** I would like to be able to use ReMind more effectively. Maybe I am still confused about how to best use it, but being able to create and save templates more easily would be a huge problem solver for me. **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** FloQast helps eliminate some of the chaos during month end close with its simple to follow folder layouts. Prior to implementing, all of our checklists and reconciliations were in spreadsheets that were sometimes messy or overlooked. FloQast has helped us to be more aware of close deadlines, keeping our files and reconciliations in an easy to find location, and knowing what things we need to improve on. It also helps us better document and be aware of account balances period to period to help prepare for a smoother audit. When we have questions, their support team is quick to respond. When we have provided product feedback, their team members have provided solutions or taken notes to provide to the prduct team for consideration. **What do you dislike about FloQast?** One main thing that we've mentioned to our FQ Accounting Success Manager is that we'd like to see our checklist and associated reconciliations connected to each other for easier visibility/reminders to complete. **What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?** Seeing clearer due dates, assignments, and reconciliations.
