What do you like best about Flashdevelop?

Simplicity, speed and openness. Being a windows user that is the best Action Script (and not only) code editor ever made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flashdevelop?

It is hard to say I dislike anything about that software. What I wish for is more HTML5 support in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Flashdevelop:

Not only Action Script but opening new window to HaXe world. Probably the best if not only robust IDE for that platform. Good enough support to fiddle with HTML5. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Flashdevelop?

Overall a solid and robust IDE.

It's native and lightweight, with minimal Java dependencies.

The code completion and core IDE functionality is top-notch, for both re factoring and browsing through massive amounts of files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flashdevelop?

The mechanism to integrate AIR SDK could use some work -

It's always one version behind in the SDK tab of the project settings.

My complaints are for minor issues.

For mobile development - although greatly improved, the build process relies heavily on DOS batch scripts.

Also, the keyboard shortcuts are non-standard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Flashdevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?

Game development for mobile and desktop.
