Obviously the price is right. You can pay for a "pro" version, but if you needed a professional video editing software you probably would not be looking at VSDC, but something like AVID, Adobe or Final Cut. First off, you have to pay for the pro version in order to be able to save your projects. Essentially they are letting you test drive the software for free. However, you can't drive the car off the lot without paying a fee. Also, it's aesthetically a little clumsy. Apple's iMovie is a little bit more intuitive and user friendly. the software is only available for Windows operating systems and others won't be able to take advantage of this free software. the exporting options are limited when compared to other software. when exporting it takes a lot of time and slows down pc where you cant take advantage of advanced features such as hardware acceleration which is provided by other video editing software. there are several effects and features locked which requires a subscription to unlock..k and videos are not supported in this software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
