Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise the software for its powerful toolset and ease of use, particularly in 3D compositing and editing tasks. Many appreciate how quickly they can achieve results once familiar with the interface, making it a preferred choice for VFX work. However, a common limitation noted is its high cost, which can be a barrier for some users.

"Flame has always been the best"
What do you like best about Flame?

It's still the very best tool for finishing film and commercials projects. Smoke is great too but the workflow and additional tools in flame are amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flame?

Occasional crashes.

There seem to have been bug fixes recently that have fixed these though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Still going strong if a little unnecessary "
What do you like best about Flame?

Flame is still the big draw for clients to do live compositing. Nuke has the ability to do more than Flame but for the interactivity and "wow" factor Flame is still much more competitive and fully featured. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flame?

Unfortunately Nuke is catching up all the time and Flame cannot compete any more especially at the price point. The cost is the biggest issue and having to have a dedicated Flame suite is just not something that many companies can deal with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the library workflow, matchbox shader and 4k perfomance. 2015 version make Flame a very powerful tool for VFX Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flame?

Probably what I think needs to be better is add more plug ins to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
