"Wide Connector Coverage, Easy Navigation, and Responsive Fivetran Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

Three things -

#1 is the wide availability of connectors across very different platforms. It just so easier to link everything via fivetran and setup ingestion process

#2 - Very easy to navigate across different features for business users

#3 - Fivetran support is very responsisve and always available to help Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

Performance can be better - especially on ingesting very large tables in incremental mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Trouble-Free Data Pipelines with Effortless Connections to Nearly Every Service"
5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

Ease of use. It's a very trouble-free way to move data in a way that minimizes both setup and pipeline maintenance. It also connects very easily to just about every service we have available to us. I have never run into an issue connecting to external services so long as they're fairly ubiquitous in the space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

I think some of the setup options could be more robust or offer some way to use one pipeline to push to multiple sources, such as a prod, dev, and test environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Configuration, Solid Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

I like that Fivetran's configuration is seamless and it handles certain modeling on ambiguous partner data tables. It also has much better coverage than native Snowflake connectors. The interface is easy to use, which means I don't need to spend a lot of time setting things up. New connections often have linked guides and help docs that walk you through the process. Support tickets are addressed promptly and communicated well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

It's not always super easy to run diagnostics when sync issues occur, and navigating the Fivetran metadata tables often requires some funky joins on disparate concepts. Maybe there could be some additional modeling tables provided here. I'm often trying to check how many rows and how long ago particular tables within a connector have been updated. Some additional modeling that would provide more report tables of different grains like this would be very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Data Integration with Room for Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

I use Fivetran for pulling in data from multiple external sources. It provides a clean schema from external vendors, saving us the effort and time we would otherwise spend maintaining or creating a schema downstream. I like their flexibility and their list of external vendors they work with, making it one of the best tools out there. It's particularly helpful because it creates a clean usable schema. Additionally, Fivetran is value for money, and the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

Feature requests are completely slow and never work, which is frustrating because it could be faster so we could derive more value from custom connection requests. Also, Fivetran could tap into the sharding and microsharding world where the whole data is moving. I'm surprised to see that they aren't already doing this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Surprisingly Easy Setup, Smooth Warehouse Sync, and Great Performance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

Actually surprisingly easy to setup and follow a self serve path, the data is move to the warehouse is a ordered fashion and schema changes are handled well. Surprisingly easy to our data out of vendors and in to a warehouse where we can query it. Free plan is generous enough to know it will work and performance has been great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

Could have more connectors to cover more apps on the market, I think this should be expanded without compromising the detail of the schema. Then we could justify a better ROI, otherwise we need to use other services. I'd also like to see a direct integration with data analytics platforms like Metabase and Graphana to analyse the warehoused data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Data Integration with Wide Connectivity"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

I use Fivetran for end-to-end data integration and love how easy it is to get data into our warehouse for analytics, especially as a small data team. It takes little effort, which is crucial for us. I appreciate the wide list of connectors they offer, which really expands our integration capabilities. HIPAA compliance is imperative for us as a healthcare company, and Fivetran meets this need. I also found the initial setup to be very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

The pricing model is unpredictable. We had an Excel connector where someone double-clicked a column till the end of the file, adding a million extra monthly active rows to our Fivetran costs. Also, their support team is not easily reachable, and they default to just the same responses from the support documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Data Sync That Keeps Everything Up to Date"
5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

I love that it keeps our data in sync and up-to-date as often as we need it and it's very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

That I have to pay for it, but the price is reasonable considering the value it provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Data Integration with Cost Concerns"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

I use Fivetran mainly for managing data ingestion from SaaS systems into our warehouses like Snowflake. The system's main value is its speed and reliability, which allows me to avoid spending engineering time on building and maintaining custom connectors for systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, and Intercom. This leads to a stable pipeline with much less overhead, enabling my data team to focus more on modeling, analytics, and business use cases rather than debugging jobs and failures. The initial setup of Fivetran was very easy, fast, and intuitive, with a user-friendly UI and dashboard that allows understanding of consumption and the choice to sync specific tables. Fivetran is intuitive, flexible, and easy to use, which makes me very satisfied with the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

I think the biggest issue is the cost. It's kinda convenient, but it can get very expensive as usage scales. If you have many connectors or high data volume, it's great for speed but not always the most cost-efficient option for the long term. There are also some losses of flexibility compared to building the data pipeline on your own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies Connector Management, but Manual Fixes and Observability Still Hurt"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

We switched to Fivetran in order to stop maintaining our own ad-hoc connectors, which was brittle and time consuming. Fivetran definitely helps with hiding the complexities of connectors, retries, mapping of fields, etc. It makes it painless to add new connectors, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

For a product aimed at reducing complexity, we still experience regular problems (once or twice a month) with connectors requiring manual intervention. Also, observability is not straightforward: there used to be a log which could be accessed from the UI, which was then moved to a destination that can be queried with SQL; while the latter is more flexible, for quick checking of problems the UI-accessible log was better. Furthermore, the destination-as-log can be impacted by outages, resulting in situations where you are blind to what the actual problem was. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI and Versatile Connectors Make Setup a Breeze"
5/5
What do you like best about Fivetran?

I like their UI and the variety of available connectors. They’re really easy to set up, even if you have limited technical knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fivetran?

Sometimes, their notifications can be a bit brief, specifically when daily data syncs are failing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
