"FitVids Makes Responsive Videos Effortless - No Aspect Ratio Math Needed"
What do you like best about Fitvids.Js?

The best part about FitVids is that you don't have to manually calculate aspect ratios for every single video. You just target a container with $(container).fitVids(), and it automatically handles the math for YouTube, Vimeo, and others Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fitvids.Js?

Dependence on jQuery

This is the biggest gripe today. Modern developers prefer "Vanilla JS" (pure JavaScript). Requiring the entire jQuery library just to make videos responsive feels like overkill for a modern, lightweight site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Embedding videos has never been this easy"
What do you like best about Fitvids.Js?

Mostly everyone now uses jQuery to build static/dynamic websites. If you are one of those developers, Fitvids.js will help you to embed videos to your web pages very easily in a lightweight manner.

Ever tried to embed a video from video by copying the iframe tag from the youtube video? All of us who has the need for doing it has done it at some point in our lives. But the problem here is that the iframe is not responsive and will not change size according to the device width. Then you will have to write CSS code to make it responsive. Luckily now you have a JavaScript library that uses jQuery to embed the videos for you.

It is responsive, fast, lightweight, supports all the browsers, and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fitvids.Js?

There is a jQuery dependency though, if your website is not using jQuery, then you will not be able to use this plugin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A really useful tool for responsive web design"
What do you like best about Fitvids.Js?

It's free and it solves easily a not-so-trivial problem designers have to face when embedding videos from popular sites like YouTube and Vimeo in responsive layouts. Now I just include Fitvids.JS and let it do its magic. Almost everytime I get perfectly sized video embeds in my responsive designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fitvids.Js?

There are some minor issues with some APIs and other plugins (lazysizes etc.) but these can be easily worked aroudn with a bit of inventiveness. The service that Fitvids.JS is providing web designers has great value, and it's also for free so there's nothing really to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
