Fishbowl Inventory Pros and Cons

I really appreciate the ease of navigativing through the individual modules which helps with our process of receiving and delivering product. The multitude of ways to pick, pack and ship our product has helped us customize and streamline our process. I really like the shortcuts as well such as creating a duplicate Sales Order to expedite the creating of many similar orders. I also really appreciate the multiple areas of guidance if in need of help as we have a User's Manual, Chat and Training modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main thing I dislike about Fishbowl is that we have to buy individual packages to get certain features of the program. For example, we had to purchase a report layout that includes pictures for our Sales Orders. I wish that would already be included as we are already spending so much on the program itself. Also, it seems our Account Managers have been spread too thin as responses take a long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has drastically improved our ability to expand business and keep track of orders allowing us to be more responsive to our customers' needs and have a better handle of our inventory. We are a small company and it's nice to have relativley quick access to support questions when they arise. We use it daily and it is our primary means of running our operation now. There are some simple UI fixes that could be made to substantially improve the experience. Implementation wasn't as smooth as I would ideally have liked due to us using QBO instead of QuickBooks Desktop, which most people seemed to be familiar with. There seem to be modules that don't quite work the way they should. When creating a BOM list for pulling certain parts, there seems to be an algorithm misstep to the inventory numbers. Also, it's incredibly frustration that one has to have a price in the "inventory" module in order to show up in certain reports, even when that price has already been listed in the "parts" and "product" modules. The ability to easily add custom fields is very beneficial for creating custom data queries. This has allowed to more easily access data for weekly and monthly reporting. I love the ability to create custom queries. I enjoy that there are different options to contant customer support. I have often been able to readily resolve server issues through web chat.
