Integration was pretty easy and worked great. Account team is very customer centric and always there to step in and guide us. **What do you dislike about Finch?** There isn't too much to call out.... I would like more proactive guidance and working sessions. Thankfully, the Finch team has carved out time to walk us through best practices and review new roadmap features with us. **What problems is Finch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Finch can help us access critical employee and pay statement data without manually logging into multiple payroll providers. This is essential as we need year-to-date wages across different cost centers, departments, etc in a particular format. Finch makes accessing non-standard data across different payroll systems very easy, and can ultimately normalize that data for us. ### 2. Their customer service is also very responsive. **What do you dislike about Finch?** We had no major issues with using Finch. **What problems is Finch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Finch helped us onboard our customers in a faster and more seamless process. This allowed users to be able to sign into the app with pre-populated data and allowed for admins of our apps to easily view and manage all their employees. ### 3. Finch is the best API for writing payroll data, hands down. We implemented Finch even faster than the time they forecasted for us, which was a pleasant surprise. Their support team is quick to respond and clearly knowledgeable about their product. **What do you dislike about Finch?** We'd love if Finch had 100% coverage of all payroll providers eventually, as sometimes we encounter customers with more obscure payroll systems. **What problems is Finch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Finch helps us read and write payroll data. Writing payroll data is notoriously tricky, and using their unified API has accelerated our time to market and ability to scale significantly. ### 4. Finch normalizes the data across providers, so the data we get is standardized and clean. **What do you dislike about Finch?** We would love to see Finch support more adjacent HR categories outside of HRIS/payroll! **What problems is Finch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Finch allows us to consolidate our customers' employee data into one easy-to-access environment. We no longer worry about understanding provider-specific API taxonomies, nor do we have to build and maintain multiple integrations. Finch makes it easy to know what data we are getting and how to get it. Helps save weeks of engineering time by integrating with only 1 API vs. multiple. great customer support **What do you dislike about Finch?** We were worried about hitting rate limits, but were able to discuss with our developer engineer at Finch, who walked us through options to ensure we were not getting throttled. If I could choose, we wouldn’t have hit the rate limit in the first place, but I suppose that’s part of building across dozens of integrations. We were going to go with a different unified API for Payroll data but they offered so many more integrations. The app performed flawlessly as well. Pricing is really friendly for startups and gets cheaper as you scale up which is a huge win. Also want to shoutout to their sales team. They helped us go from sandbox to production account really quickly. **What do you dislike about Finch?** The dashboard could expose more data like error logs. I also would like to export any data to a CSV. Also to use webhooks, I needed to ask for enablement but they set it up asap. **What problems is Finch solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to connect to multiple different HR/Payroll systems for our fintech product. They helped us get to market dramatically faster because otherwise we'd have to build out each connector ourselves. ### 8. Also, it was a breeze for our developers to setup and there has been next to zero maintenance—we're currently 2 years in! **What do you dislike about Finch?** The Rippling integration is limiting. It offers more payroll integrations than any other Unified API service we've encountered—even those that offer non-payroll integrations as well. Finch specializes in payroll, and it shows. **What do you dislike about Finch?** Cons: The dashboard should expose logs. Devs had to go digging to solve errors which slowed us down a little. Just make sure to read the documentation around error handling and logging.
