Our website looks great, is easy to update and learn to master, and has powerful features that enable us to do what we would like to do. Finalsite has a responsive team that has been very helpful. Pricing is relatively expensive when looking at other providers, there are a lot of packages and add-ons that you have to really assess whether you want or not. Otherwise you could end up paying for add-ons that you don't use enough to warrant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So far nothing. Their templates are nice but their examples often feature custom templates that they don't disclose are custom until you sign a contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We were contacted by Finalsite in October of 2023 because they purchased Blackboard. Their sales persons stated that they would no longer support Blackboard templates but we could get a free website redesign if we signed a new contract before the end of 2023, otherwise we would have to pay $10,000-15,000 to redesign our site and it was mandatory. We never had any issues with Blackboard so we decided to go with it.

After signing the contract before the end of the year we were given a project manager and team who would migrate our content. We were shown templates during the pre-contract phase and examples of websites using those templates. We picked out our favorite template prior to signing the contract but after we signed the contract we were told that it was a custom template and would cost extra even though it was one of their examples.

Our project manager has pushed and pushed us to do their training courses in the middle of the year and the courses are not short and not well put together and this was totally an unplanned project. After doing a couple trainings while proceeding through the process of migration it became incredibly clear how unuser friendly this website would be to manage. The content manager is incredibly complicated and all over the place. Simple things like adding pictures to a page require you to go to multiple locations that aren't very clearly labeled vs how simple Blackboard was to use.

The migration process has not been simple at all. They put a lot of expectations on the customer and do not provide clear instructions and when you ask questions, they refer you to a training course that could be long and not actual answer questions.

We've run into numerous issues so far during the migration process and thus far are not impressed at all with any of the process, migration, ease of use or customer service being provided to use. I feel like we were shown bright lights and stars but once we signed the contract we have been left in darkness and confusion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Conversion support is almost non-existent. Finalsite cannot accommodate what seem like minimal adjustments to the theme designs. It's very inflexible -- no pull down menus where we need them, blinding white backgrounds that look unprofessional, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What's most helpful about Finalsite is the ability to manage our website, email communications, and internal constituents in one place. The data is integrated seamlessly, which allows us to communicate effectively with current and prospective families. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some areas of Finalsite are rather outdated (Forms Manager, Registration Manager, etc.) and don't seem to get the same level of support/resources as other modules do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to use, but not very user friendly as far as the creative aspects....it doesn't allow you do to much design of your own. It keeps you limited to the restraints of the software itself Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
