"Industry gem for FTP, FTPS and SFTP"
What do you like best about FileZilla?

Supports every common protocol – FTP, FTPS and SFTP, so I can hop between legacy hosts and hardened servers without swapping tools.

Cross-platform binaries for Windows, macOS and Linux let me keep the same workflow regardless of the workstation.

Drag-and-drop two-pane UI, Site Manager bookmarks and transfer queue keep large projects organised while still feeling lightweight.

Resumes interrupted uploads and downloads over 4 GB, a lifesaver on shaky hotel Wi-Fi.

Tabbed sessions and directory comparison help me juggle multiple servers and spot out-of-sync folders fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileZilla?

The interface looks dated; icons and layout haven’t materially changed in a decade, so basic tasks feel clunky next to modern WinSCP or Cyberduck skins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Secure SFTP Solution for Power Users"
What do you like best about FileZilla?

Its simple to use if you are looking for a traditional SFTP program. It's easy to setup and is secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileZilla?

It can be a little difficult for an average user with some of the terminology that is used. I have been building websites for almost 30 years and sometimes find the naming of features both outdated for modern times and also named more like a programmer vs a power user. Overall, it's not a major issue for me given I love the program, but it can slow me down for a few seconds on occasion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileZilla?

In the past few months, every time I open FileZilla, I receive an error message telling me there has been an Error loading queue. I don't know how to fix this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Open-Source FTP Solution with Limitations"
What do you like best about FileZilla?

FileZilla was our go-to free FTP solution for years. Easy to set up, supported multiple protocols, and worked well for basic file transfer needs. Great for small teams with limited budgets. We liked that it was completely free, open-source, cross-platform compatibility. Good for quick file transfers and basic server configurations. Worked well for our smaller projects and personal use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileZilla?

Lacked enterprise-grade security features. Manual updates were a nightmare. No built-in scalability, required constant server maintenance. Security patches were inconsistent, and we constantly worried about potential vulnerabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Reliable FTP client"
What do you like best about FileZilla?

FileZilla offers a dual-pane interface that makes it easy to navigate between local files and server files. Users can easily drag files between their local machine and the server.

Also, It supports FTP, SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol), and FTPS (FTP over SSL/TLS), providing flexibility for secure file transfers. It is open source and so it’s free to use and has a supportive community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileZilla?

The Windows version may include optional adware during installation, so users should pay attention during the setup process.

While great for standard file transfers, it may lack some advanced features found in more specialized FTP clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
