I use Fathom to record meetings with clients and for screen recording videos instead of Loom. What I really like about it is that it auto starts for every Zoom meeting, which makes life easier because I don't have to remember to hit record. It also automatically takes all my notes and emails me and the meeting attendees the link afterwards. This really helps because I can speak to the camera without worrying about taking notes or recording, and it sends me a summary that I can keep and share with clients or other meeting attendees. The only issue I've had with Fathom was updating my email for my account when I changed emails, their support wasn't the greatest with that. I love that I can link it to my Asana and it creates tasks for me from the calls so I don't forget. I also love the highlight feature so I can choose what's important in the call and the ask Fathom feature when I'm looking the recording over and can find exact spots in the recordings quickly. The ability to copy the transcript makes taking it to my ai to use for other purposes is stellar and love the email feature that let's me email my clients easily with what I'm doing, what they're responsible to do and also give them access to the recording. I LOVE Fathom! When I ask it questions about my meetings, not only does it give me the correct answer, but it also shows me at what point in the meeting recording that subject was discussed.

I also love the to-do list or action steps it sends me via email after the meeting ends. The AI analysis or meeting summary is perfect too!

Fathom is, in my view, the best AI note-taker on the market. Our internal team reviews tools like this before we roll them out to staff, and we tested a few alternatives, including read.ai and otter.ai. None of them come close to Fathom. We’ve found Fathom to be consistently accurate with its note-taking, and we really appreciate how automated the process is—everyone receives the notes at the same time for review. If I had one nitpick, it would be that sometimes (though rarely) we’ll get a composite answer—like a total of various construction costs mentioned in the meeting—that needs to be reviewed.
