I like the detailed overview it provides for my clients regarding their financial performance. I also enjoy using Fathom as a financial storytelling tool, especially because the reports and formats can be tailored so I can share the most relevant and informative information. I regularly use the import feature from Excel and I find this an easy and intuitive tool to use. The Xero connection is also something I use and thoroughly enjoy its easy use. I dislike the fact that excel imports can sometimes be rather complicated given the sheets to import. Sometimes it can take a long time to get financials onto fathom due to a lengthy and cumbersome import process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing really, only issue is trying to work out what to include in reports when there is so much scope and variation. I find it hard to leave things out of my month end reports as there is so much available. I would like it if I could update an ai generated written report for the next month, as it creates the calculations but I often edit the ai wording, but I cannot just update those ai calculations/equations to re use my report from the prior month. I’m extremely impressed with Fathom’s customer support. They assisted me immediately and kept me informed throughout the entire process until the issue was resolved. Fathom is also very user-friendly, and I’ve rarely needed to contact support. However, whenever I have needed assistance, the service has been prompt, professional, and excellent. Highly recommended! Customization can occasionally feel limited—specifically when needing to adjust rolling time periods or create deeply customized tabular reports beyond the standard templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fathom has a vast array of reporting tools that you can customise yourself. This ranges from tables and graphs you can build, Non-financial reporting data in tables or graphs (you can choose), KPI's etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Since the data synchronises every day - it would be great if I can build a report for month end, but in that same report I could ad the actual Debtors outstanding as at the reporting date. I always need to export this manually from the accounting software and then add it manually into the report. I mean the data synchronises up to that date... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy to follow and process what is required for forecasting your business. The price is reasonable for the amount of info the system can generate and is competitive in the market place. I don't use the account integration as our software is not compatible. The support received has been fantastic throughout Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Several elements could do with developing in the product. Mainly it would be nice to have direct entry in all the areas not just certain areas as entering individual journals for each individual month is time consuming Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fathom is super helpful in preparing complex consolidated financials. I have been pleased with the ability of the software to handle eliminations and non-controlling interest. But most of all, I have been very impressed by the customer service. Specifically, I reached out to them with help implementing non-controlling interest into my consolidation and they actually understood the question and had recommendations for the best way that it could be incorporated into my report. Similarly, when I wanted to build custom reports, they got on a call with me and showed me how to create custom KPIs and then use those to build out a report that looked exactly like I was hoping for. Unfortunately, Fathom brings in all Archived accounts from Xero's chart of accounts and there is no way to hide these accounts. This is a bummer if you have a lot of accounts that have historical data you want to keep but that are not relevant to you during the current statement period. When adding new accounts within a consolidation, you must classify the new accounts in the underlying company, then again in the consolidating entity. This can take a long time when there are tons of old accounts taking up space in the chart of accounts in both spots. It would be nice if they made a way to archive accounts in Fathom so you could clean up the chart of accounts view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
