## About Fast.io
Fast.io is an AI-first content workspace where humans and AI agents collaborate on files, knowledge, and workflows. It is designed as a modern alternative to Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive for teams that use AI agents alongside human teammates. Every file uploaded is automatically indexed for semantic search, enabling teams to find content by meaning rather than filename, ask questions across entire workspaces, and get cited answers without building a separate knowledge base. With high intelligence enabled, workspaces gain a full RAG stack on documents for deeper AI querying and document chat. The platform is accessible through the web, a native desktop app for Mac, a CLI installed via npm, a REST API, and an MCP server exposing 251 tools over Streamable HTTP or SSE. Pricing is usage-based with no per-seat fees, starting at $0 per month with 50 GB of storage and 5 seats included. Built by MediaFire, Fast.io is trusted by teams at Samsung, Amazon, Walmart, Target, Autodesk, Logitech, and GoPro. Fast.io organizes work into project workspaces where team members and AI agents share the same permissioned spaces. Each workspace acts as a self-contained environment for a project, client, or department. Collaboration happens in real time with live cursors, presence indicators, and a follow mode that lets you sync your view to any teammate's navigation, similar to how multiplayer design tools work but applied at the filesystem level. Comments can be pinned to specific video frames, document pages, image regions, or audio timestamps, keeping feedback attached to the exact content it references. Threaded discussions stay organized alongside the files they relate to. Activity tracking provides full visibility across workspaces, shared folders, portals, and individual files, including version history, view counts, download counts, comments, and shares. Ripley AI is the built-in intelligence layer that lives inside every workspace, shared folder, portal, and Quickshare link. Intelligence is always on by default. Every file uploaded is automatically processed with text extraction, embedding generation, and summary creation, with new files indexed within seconds. This processing uses credits from the plan's monthly allocation. At the baseline level, every workspace includes semantic search across all content, auto-summarization, auto-titling, and AI metadata extraction. Teams can describe what they are looking for in plain language and get the right file returned instantly. High intelligence can be enabled per workspace to unlock a full RAG stack on documents, adding document chat with retrieval-augmented generation, page-level citations, and deeper AI querying across workspace content. Each intelligence feature has a corresponding MCP tool, so external agents connected to the workspace get the same capabilities that human users access through the UI. Ripley also generates AI-powered link previews and smart summaries that can be exported and shared with external tools. AI agents on Fast.io are not treated as integrations. They have their own accounts with scoped permissions and full audit trails. Teams can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, OpenClaw, or custom-built agents via MCP or REST API, then assign tasks, set approvals, and collaborate with those agents exactly as they would with a human teammate. Agent workspaces persist across sessions, meaning files survive restarts, context switches, and model updates. When a project is ready, ownership can be transferred from the agent to a human team member while the agent retains access. Authentication uses OAuth with PKCE, so there are no API keys to manage. Each supported agent has a dedicated setup guide and optimized integration path. There is a dedicated Agent Plan at $0 per month that allows AI agents to sign up and provision storage fully autonomously, with 50 GB of storage, 5,000 monthly credits, and 3 workspaces included. The MCP server exposes 251 tools through a single connection, covering file operations, search, AI queries, sharing, tasks, approvals, comments, events, and more. Response latency is under 50 milliseconds at the 95th percentile. Transport options include Streamable HTTP, SSE, and local stdio for CLI-based connections. Any MCP-compatible client can connect, not only the agents with dedicated setup guides. Fast.io provides two distinct sharing modes. Quickshare generates expiring links for one-off file transfers. Links can be set to expire from one hour to thirty days, protected with a password, and tracked for download activity. Recipients do not need a Fast.io account. Shared Folders provide a persistent collaboration space with member permissions, desktop app sync, and the ability to invite external collaborators without exposing the rest of the workspace. Each mode is designed for a different workflow: Quickshare for fast delivery, Shared Folders for ongoing collaboration. Content Portals let teams create branded, password-protected spaces where clients or partners access files. Each portal can be customized with a logo, colors, background, vanity URL, custom link previews, and social links. Analytics show who opened the portal, which files were downloaded, how long recipients spent reviewing each document, and a complete audit trail for compliance. Recipients do not need to create an account. Portals can be gated behind an approval step, so internal review happens before external viewers see updated content. This makes portals suitable for deal rooms, client deliveries, press kits, and due diligence packages. The review and approvals system provides structured approval workflows. A team member submits content for sign-off, reviewers are notified and can preview files and leave comments inline, and they approve or reject with a single click. Ripley AI generates plain-language change summaries for each approval request, highlighting what was added, removed, or modified since the last version so reviewers do not need to compare files side by side. Every approval, rejection, and comment is written to an immutable audit log with timestamps and author attribution. This is designed for regulated industries and teams that need verifiable approval records. Tasks, todos, and worklogs are built directly into the workspace alongside the files they reference. Tasks support assignees, watchers, priorities, due dates, and status tracking from open to done, and can be linked to specific files or folders so the task and the deliverable stay connected. Todos provide lightweight checklists for quick action items like launch day rundowns or onboarding steps. Worklogs are append-only activity entries where every human edit, agent action, and status change is recorded with a timestamp and author. Entries cannot be edited or deleted. Both humans and agents write to the same log. This replaces the need for a separate project management tool, time tracker, or audit logger alongside your file storage. The media engine handles video, audio, images, and professional file formats. Videos are automatically optimized for adaptive streaming with instant playback and smooth scrubbing on any connection. Audio files get waveform visualization for navigating silence, speech, and music patterns. Universal previews support professional formats including PSD, AI, RAW photos, and CAD drawings directly in the browser without requiring the original software. Uploaded media is transcoded into lightweight proxies while originals are preserved. The desktop app provides native Mac sync with selective sync, offline file pinning, and a unified activity stream showing what teammates and agents are doing across all synced workspaces in real time. Workspaces mount directly into macOS Finder as native filesystem entries. Files are available offline when pinned, and changes sync automatically on reconnect. Windows support is in development. The CLI, fastio-cli, is installed via npm and provides full terminal-based workspace management including upload, search, share, and AI queries from the shell. It includes a built-in MCP server for local agent connections via stdio. Fast.io also includes an advanced metadata system with AI metadata extraction, metadata templates, and a data grid view for browsing files as structured records. Markdown notes stored in workspaces are auto-indexed for AI, making them searchable and queryable alongside all other file types. Cloud import supports Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Box. Teams connect via OAuth, browse their folder tree, select what to import, and Fast.io transfers everything in the background with folder structure preserved. Imported files land in a workspace ready for the team and AI agents to search, preview, and work with immediately. Security features include email risk screening, Geo-IP access controls, virus and malware scanning, scoped access tokens, file locking, and agent-to-human handoff controls. Fast.io is used by marketing teams, creative agencies, video production studios, construction firms, manufacturers, real estate companies, education institutions, and legal teams. Common use cases include managing campaign assets, delivering client proofs through branded portals, running approval workflows on creative deliverables, providing AI agents with persistent cloud storage, and consolidating content from multiple cloud providers into a single searchable workspace. Pricing is usage-based with no per-seat fees. The Free plan is $0 per month and includes 50 GB of storage, 5 seats, 3 workspaces, 10,000 monthly credits, and a 1 GB maximum file size. No credit card is required and the plan does not expire. The Professional plan is $10 per month and includes 1 TB of storage, 25 seats, 10 workspaces, 100,000 monthly credits, and a 25 GB maximum file size. The Business plan is $24 per month and includes 5 TB of storage, 100 seats, 1,000 workspaces, 240,000 monthly credits, and a 50 GB maximum file size. Additional seats beyond the included allocation on Professional and Business plans are $1 per user per month. The Agent Plan is $0 per month and allows AI agents to sign up autonomously with 50 GB of storage, 5,000 monthly credits, and 3 workspaces. All plans include MCP access.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konjengbam M. | BDR, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Fast.io?**

I love this platform for its simple cloud storage managing platform and the capability to host files instantly. I also love the capability to collaborate with teams where non developers could make changes to an organization website easily. When we talk about cloud platform there is always a tradeoff between user friendly interface and high speed execution but this platform tries its best to act as an equalizing platform. The platform well established and reliable connection between the cloud storage and Fast CDN is its most powerful features that I love. The onboarding process was also easy and fast for this platform.

**What do you dislike about Fast.io?**

I love most part of this platform but I wish that there was better analytics in this platform. I wish that this platform could have its own file size limits. Other than this I wish better link organizer. Other than this I also wish that this platform provides more better facilities to collaborate between team mates.

**What problems is Fast.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform ensures faster deployment and allows more better management of files in Cloud. The syncing of this platform is fast with cloud and allows better collaboration with teams.

 ### 2. Fast, Easy File Collaboration with Powerful Integrations and AI Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Fast.io?**

The best thing I like about this platform is how it centralises the file collaboration right from the start and till the end, while remaining incredibly very easy to use. It also allows our team to work from the same files, share content securely with our internal and external customers, and collaborate through comments and feedback without needing to switch between the tools. Integration ecosystem with AI agents, APIs and cloud storage platforms is very effective, which gives us another layer of productivity, which feels more modern and practical. This platform is fast and productive. Overall, cross-functional collaboration is also efficient in regard to this platform.

**What do you dislike about Fast.io?**

Through this platform is easy to adapt, I would also say the advanced reporting and analytics capabilities are lacking a bit. The customisation options for administrators should also be expanded. Some users may also require additional documentation and tutorials to fully explore the advanced integration and AI workflows, so I would say the learning experience was bit complex at the start. For organisations with highly specialised requirements, deeper administrative controls should be made more beneficial for us.

**What problems is Fast.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This problem helps us solve the problem of fragmented content management and ineffective file sharing in our existing system. It also allows us to share files, collect feedback, manage project assets, and maintain a single source of truth without having any separate infrastructure. The cross-functional collaboration with this platform is made secure and easier and productive, which reduces the communication gaps and simplified line facing workflow while keeping the content organised and accessible is the best thing about this platform.

 ### 3. Streamlined Sharing with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishna K. | Digital Marketing Media Manager, Online Media, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Fast.io?**

I love Fast.io’s straightforward link generation paired with flexible access customization. After organizing CreateSurvey reports and files into folders, creating customized share links takes just a few clicks. The options allow me to set links as password-locked or view-only, and even set expiry dates based on client needs. It saves me from repetitive admin work and makes my job easier when distributing survey analytics to many advertisers each month. Unlike bulkier tools, Fast.io keeps the sharing process lean and quick, making it irreplaceable for coordinating our media marketing and client reporting workflows.

**What do you dislike about Fast.io?**

One notable shortfall is Fast.io’s inconsistent bulk upload performance when assembling complete client campaign bundles built around CreateSurvey analytics and marketing creative content. Whenever I select all these assets to upload as one consolidated bulk group, the upload process commonly slows drastically mid-transfer or terminates unexpectedly without full completion, leaving random files missing from the destination folder with no clear failure notification. To prevent incomplete campaign archives before client review deadlines, I have to manually divide the full file collection into several smaller segmented batches and run separate upload procedures repeatedly. Optimizing the platform’s backend bulk upload stability and supporting larger combined file sets would eliminate this redundant manual work and accelerate our end-to-end marketing asset organization workflow significantly.

**What problems is Fast.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast.io solves file disorganization, bypasses email size limits with share links, and simplifies controlled access for external stakeholders, streamlining marketing asset management and collaboration.

 ### 4. Reliable Secure File Hub Suited for European Logistics Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fawaz A. | Senior Logistics & Fleet Operations Manager, Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Fast.io?**

The platform stands out with reliable end-to-end encryption and swift file loading performance. Real-time data synchronization lets field crews promptly retrieve route layouts and official transport compliance files anytime. Fine-grained access authorization effectively protects confidential cargo and operational data, fully matching EU privacy regulations. Direct shareable links also make document delivery to cross-border partners effortless, substantially smoothing internal and external file exchange workflows.

**What do you dislike about Fast.io?**

There are no preset filing categories designed for fleet and logistics scenarios. Mass processing of routing paperwork and vehicle maintenance archives runs rather slowly. The tool cannot achieve seamless linkage with our fleet dispatch and compliance supervision systems. Besides, detailed access audit trails for cross-region document usage still require further improvement to satisfy daily European transport operation standards.

**What problems is Fast.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It unifies fragmented files stored on various devices into one secure repository, preventing document loss and disordered arrangement. Standardized encrypted sharing satisfies regional data governance requirements. Fast document lookup and streamlined handover cut redundant working time, helping maintain stable and efficient progress of cross-border freight delivery businesses.

 ### 5. Reliable Cloud-to-CDN Automation for Modern Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mert Buğra F. | Computer Engineering Student, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Fast.io?**

What I appreciate most is how seamlessly it turns cloud storage into a high-performance CDN. Automatic synchronization with Google Drive and Dropbox makes it extremely easy to distribute large assets and host static sites, without needing complex DevOps work or any server management. Deployment is also impressively fast, which makes the whole workflow feel smooth and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Fast.io?**

The free-tier bandwidth limits can feel a bit restrictive as a project grows. I’d also really like more granular control over custom Cache-Control headers, along with more detailed real-time analytics directly in the dashboard. On top of that, the sync occasionally takes a few seconds longer than I expect.

**What problems is Fast.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It addresses the issues of slow file distribution and overly complex web hosting. For me, it provides a fast, reliable, and automated way to host my technical portfolios and large asset files. It also saves me a significant amount of time that I would otherwise spend configuring manual CDN setups or handling FTP transfers.

 ### 6. Effortless Static Hosting, Fast File Delivery

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danniels G. | Wireless Business Infrastructure Manager, Wireless, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Fast.io?**

My favorite part about Fast.io is how easy it is to set up static sites and how quickly files load anywhere in the world. I don’t have to mess with complicated server setup or ongoing maintenance at all. I can easily build simple project landing pages and organize all our wireless technical files into neat folders. It’s perfect for putting together internal resource portals and sharing device firmware, network configs, installation guides and project specs with the team. The shared links are always stable, and our field staff can pull up what they need fast no matter where they’re working. The interface is clean and straightforward, so it’s simple to keep all our project files organized and up to date. It’s also very lightweight—no bulky software to install, and hardly any IT oversight needed. I can make new folders, set up quick project pages and share files in minutes without any downtime. Overall, it’s simple, fast, reliable and low-maintenance, and fits our wireless deployment and daily team workflow really well.

**What do you dislike about Fast.io?**

The main downside is the built-in file preview isn’t very robust, especially for the technical file types we use daily in wireless work. A lot of files won’t preview properly in the browser, so we end up having to download them just to do a quick check, which adds extra steps to our workflow. Also, the access permissions are pretty basic. We can set simple folder and link access, but there’s no way to create custom user groups, apply bulk permission settings, or set detailed expiration rules for links we share with external carriers and vendors. I have to adjust access one user at a time, which gets tedious as we add more projects and outside collaborators.

**What problems is Fast.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast.io lets us set up static hosting and share technical files without managing servers ourselves. It gives our remote and field team fast, dependable access to all project resources. It keeps all our wireless docs and firmware in one centralized place, and we don’t need expensive hosting plans just for internal sharing. It cuts down workflow friction and makes managing our wireless infrastructure projects much more efficient day to day.

 ### 7. The perfect, cost effective alternative to legacy cloud storage

**Reviewed by:** Aditya C. | AI Research Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Fast.io?**

What I like most about Fast.io is its incredible speed and simplicity when it comes to file hosting and sharing. Uploads and downloads are lightning fast, and creating secure client portals from specific workspace folders takes just a single click.

**What do you dislike about Fast.io?**

While Fast.io is incredibly fast for standard files, I occasionally notice a bit of performance lag and slower speeds during peak hours when trying to upload massive directories or bulk zip assets. Additionally, the native reporting dashboard is a bit too basic.

**What problems is Fast.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were constantly bottlenecked by traditional cloud storage platforms that charge aggressive per-user seat fees. It made adding occasional team members, external clients, or contractors incredibly expensive. On top of that, we struggled with chaotic file organization and ownership issues where files were scattered across individual personal drives instead of belonging strictly to the team.

 ### 8. Effortless Content Delivery, Needs Faster Support

It effectively helps us in delivering media files like images, videos, and other downloadable business files. The best part about Fast.io is that it doesn't require deep technical skills for setup, as doing basic DNS changes helps users get started easily. We're able to process our content near the user and reduce delay by improving overall performance and computing support.

**What do you dislike about Fast.io?**

The software has a smaller community, which leads to less documentation and availability of tutorials for users. Additionally, I found that the support team is quite slow, taking more than 7 business days to reply. The initial setup is time-consuming.

**What problems is Fast.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fast.io to deliver our website and application quickly from closest servers, ensuring fast loading without buffering. It helps deliver media and business files efficiently. I appreciate that it doesn't need deep technical skills for setup, improving performance and reducing delays.
