What do you like best about Faronics Deep Freeze?

When using this software you can easily create a working setup and just reboot or have the user reboot if anything is changed (including malware). After reboot you are back to the original working setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Faronics Deep Freeze?

Due to the nature of the software it can be difficult to administer remotely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Faronics Deep Freeze solving and how is that benefiting you?

Public computer setup, i.e. - in conference rooms, is implemented this way so that the machine does not have to be constantly reimaged. The other benefit is that one does NOT have to worry about most malware infections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Faronics Deep Freeze?

It locks down a computer tight and still gives us the flexibility to work properly with little intervention. It has been a trusted tool for a long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Faronics Deep Freeze?

Over the years we have run into conflicts between Deep Freeze and Symantec End Point protection. Eventually it gets patched but we have run into it twice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Faronics Deep Freeze:

Go past just locking down a computer. Make sure to do maintenance windows and scheduled restarts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This allows us to put a kiosk computer out to the public, but it stays locked down. After reboot it is a fresh install like it had never been touched. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
