## Faddom Reviews
 ### 1. A great product that's easy to use, getting richer with features constantly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon T. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

It's a great product that's very easy to use, full of features that are being updated regularly, and has been invaluable when it comes to migrating alot of our services to to the Cloud. Planning for this has been made easier with this tool, to map out depencies etc. New features seem to be based on customer feedback, so it's nice to see a company not just listen to it's customers, but also implement changes and updates from that feedback.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

Nothing really, everything has been great to use. The only thing i'd like to see is maybe a bit more flexibility around the users section. Maybe to restrict certain areas or features to certain users.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Migration wave planning to Azure. It's been invaluable when it comes to seeing the dependencies across servers that have been in situe for a while, and the admins that set these up have since left the business. Gives a good clear picture of what we need to do when planning our migrations

 ### 2. Very valuable product with almost immediate insights

 ### 13. Superb mapping tool for networks and applications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Duncan B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

Faddom very quickly showed us how the legacy applications we were transitioning to Azure, were interconnected. It highlighted the undocumented communications with other servers and lead to the discovery of unknown file storage use.
The eay to use graphical interface and intuative functions mean that it is a short learning curve to derive real value from the investment in the software.
Use of migration wave information, enables us to quickly identify when a server is moved to Azure, the dependancies to other servers and applications, which means we can ensure that all services are moved similtaneously and not then prone to latency issues between on premise and Azure.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

We have yet to discover anything we do not like about the product. Its simple to use and delivers on its promise.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are migrating from an on-premise environment to Azure. During this period there are parallel projects which are transitioning sevices to SaaS, but do not take all historic data, leaving legacy read only systems of some vintage. Faddom is not only helping us plan the migration waves in to Azure, but enables us to map historic and legacy applications which can then be rebuilt and moved to Azure in a compact and condensed fashion.
One we have all our servers running Azure, we will use the base line functionality to maintain topology compliance and ensure there are no un recorded changes to topology

 ### 14.
After using the system for a year, I have found it to be incredibly efficient and user-friendly. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to navigate through various features. The performance has been consistently reliable, with minimal downtime. Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever I encountered issues. Overall, the system has significantly improved our workflow and productivity.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

The connection maps between all servers and services and the list of servers and services that use certificates and when they expire

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

The system is for viewing only, and segmentation cannot be performed through it.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Displaying a communication map of my entire network

 ### 15. Faddom Software Saved Us On Migration Costs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DENESH A. | CIO, UK, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

When we first installed Faddom, we ran across problems throughout the installation process and needed assistance to evaluate the application. Their customer service representatives got in touch with us after business hours and were helpful in getting the installation and training started as well as guiding us through it.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

There is nothing significant that we discovered or experienced about Faddom at this stage if we compare it to other market solutions such as VMware, DSCope, etc

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to outdated systems and changes in the org-structure over the years, the company's several hundred servers were not adequately managed in terms of documentation. We were able to determine application and service utilisation, connectivity between and outside of virtual machines, and peak and off-peak application usage using Faddom. Due to this, we were able to design a clear migration plan and communicate with a targeted user group rather than the entire company. Faddom also helped us the micro-segment the of network to reduce the blast radius during a cybersecurity crisis.

 ### 16. Great product for pre cloud migration discovery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kanchan C. | Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

Faddom is a fantastic tool for cloud pre-migration discovery and assessment. Being cloud-independent means there's no bias in the decision-making process. The automated application discovery and dependency mapping feature is outstanding, and I highly recommend it. Fabulous customer support too.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

The product has no major drawbacks, however most of the documentation is found in KB articles. It would have been more useful if installation and integration guides were available in consolidated PDF format.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faddom is solving the problem of pre-migration discovery and assessment. It provides our exitsing environment automated discovery and dependency mapping features. The benefits of Faddom include more efficient migrations, reduced risk of downtime, and simplified management.

 ### 17. Faddom - the journey to the cloud begins here

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nir Shiloni ☁️ . | Cloud Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

It's a super modern platform with strong correlation views for all the infrastructure in the org.
It allows us, as cloud integrators, to get valuable insights before we make our move.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

The installation process is a bit tedious, but it's improving from version to version!

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly cloud migrations mistakes are avoided by using this tool
Secondly - a much better insights and decisions can be made

 ### 18. Easy Implementation.... Great Results!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele S. | IT Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

We started to search for a valid solution to map our network... or to better say, our networks and our application services.
After multiple research we found Faddom and we reached the result we needed with zero effort by our side, basically without dedicating a lot of resources in our clusters or cloud infrastructure.
Now we have the capability to obtain a graphic representation clear and precise of our resources and our application so to prevent downtime or determine how to fix some network issues or even redesign our different network layers to serve our users in a better way.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

I suggest a better graphic dashboard "overview" section... ok, also the other graphic resume sections... :-)

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faddom is helping us to understand better our network segmentation and interaction.
Basically, this help us to prevent misleading behavior or infinite research for bottleneck or misconfiguration

 ### 19. Faddom Provides Visual Maps of your Environment with no heavy lifting!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan C. | Director Of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

Faddom has enabled our Team to understand what data routes exist and how a change will impact our environment. We've gained insight into our applications as well as our infrastructure. The Faddom Team is great to work with, and they are always willing to help us better understand the product.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

There's not much to dislike about Faddom. Because we have a server farm that is co-located on a provider's VMWare infrastructure, we did have to install an agent on those machines. That was a minor inconvenience, but one non the less.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faddom has given us visibility into our server, application, and infrastructure landscape. We now have visual maps of everything that lives in our environment. We understand how our data flows, and how a disruption will impact our Team members.

 ### 20. Visibility is the key, when it's simple it's better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

 ### 21. Great Product for Viewing Network Connections.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian C. | CIO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

The best thing about this product is that it is easy to install and use. With a quick tutorial, you will be off and running!

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

I have found nothing I don't like about the product so far.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing visual representations regarding incoming and outgoing connections for devices. Removes all guesswork as we have been faced with in the past.

 ### 22. Information is King and Faddom is the treasure vault!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | VP of Cloud Architecture, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

The installation for Faddom is painless, we were able to get an instance deployed quickly and begin collecting data quickly. The data once collected is well labeled, easy to parse, and provides quick insights to your network without an impact on performance.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

The only feature I would change is some of the UI placement. None of this was a dealbreaker for our team, our preference is to have a more modular UI experience when working with data analytic platforms.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a complex network that spans multiple countries. Faddom is helping give us real-time insight to application traffic, topology considerations, and the ability to test configuration changes in a sandbox that can show potential business impact.

 ### 23. Very useful tool for mapping networks supported by a helpful team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

The team behind Faddom are great; they arranged a call (which their CTO joined) to advise on the best way to map our network. The software is also super easy to install and get to grips with.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

No significant dislikes to report. Perhaps the GUI could look a bit newer, but that can sometimes have the unintended side effect of making the software harder to use. Perhaps if the software could be installed on vanilla Windows 10 without having to force the install rather than being solely aimed at running on Windows server OS. We ended up dedicating a physical PC to it (not an issue for us but it could be for smaller businesses with fewer PCs that don't want to set up a VM to run it).

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to map out our internal network, which Faddom aided significantly; although some manual tracing of connections was always inevitable, using Faddom reduced the need for this.

 ### 24. Great Way To Visualize Your Network!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

Faddom is an excellent tool to help see what devices are talking to each other on your network. From application mapping to data center diagraming it really has a lot of value in one tool. It's easy to set up, and the Sales & Support team is great!

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

I haven't found anything I dislike so far.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are gaining more insight into what resources our in-house applications are using. That has enabled us to troubleshoot issues more efficiently.

 ### 25. The platform that changed my life

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** boris p. | Chief Information Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

This tool allows me to see what happens inside my LAN 360 degrees/

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

I think that Faddom needs to improve the UX \ UI.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

with Faddom I can see the network connections visualy

 ### 26. CRM Manager and in charge of business application functionalities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Agostina L. | CRM Manager for Colombia, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

I was in charge of some critical business application that were moving to the cloud. With Faddom we mapped easily the applications' architecture and migrated all the VMs flawlessly

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

The GUI can look more modern and there isn't a SaaS option

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I see the ALL THE SERVERS

 ### 27. An extra gear to support complex systems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giovanni Ido P. | Web infrastructure, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

The Hybrid section, which allows you to change a complex infrastructure in time and cost.
During an implementation, knowing little about the colleague's infrastructure, we immediately understood how to intervene for an improvement, without re-evaluating schemes and dependencies.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

No problems found, virtualizations did not show a performance or alteration deficit. As IT consultants we photographed systems before and after processing data from a time of low activity and then as it increases and changes. Poor connectivity must be resolved a priori, with respect to these activities.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For what we have seen, the product is mature and corresponds to the indications.Like all products, it is growing and requires attention to customer impacts and needs

 ### 28. Outstanding... From how easy to use, to the support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus M. | IT operations supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

Easy to use, very intuitive design.

Very quick and easy implementation.

Data recollection was smooth and it wasn't intrusive at all.

Excellent mapping and network tool

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

We haven´t found anything to complain about or dislike so far, but perhaps the user interface can be improved. But everything is reduced to aesthetics polishment.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in the process of modernization of our environment, migrating from legacy technology to new ones including cloud. It has allowed us a better understanding of the environment and its dependencies.

 ### 29. Excellent Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bassam D. | IT officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

I found in Faddom what I couldn't find in other solutions. The mapping helped me know the traffic in my environment and stop the unused ports. Without Faddom I wouldn't be able to do this.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

Overall, Faddom offered me anything I wanted but I found some traffic from Kaspersky that wasn't listed on Faddom.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Faddom for micro-segmentation. This solution was very helpful in discovering the traffic in my environment.

 ### 30. Great software to visualize your network and applications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinny d. | Cloud Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

A great support team that makes it easy to get started with the software. It makes it easy to visualize your network and applications.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

Not always 100% intuitive to navigate the interface.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualizing the network and application flow increases efficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance.

 ### 31. Faddom, a good way to speed up your Architecture drawings

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

The best bit of Faddom is the Application discovery piece, from a URL or single host, Faddom will draw you a diagram of the application architecture, load balancers, web servers, databases, file servers and so on. You might need to tidy this up on occasion, but it's much quicker than any other way I've found.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

The diagrams are not the prettiest out of the box, but you can export them to make them look better in a different tool. The cloud cost generator works best with AWS, was a bit off with Azure.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faddom is helping me create Architecture diagrams for hundreds of Applications, this is helping our EA work, and also helping our network segregation programme.

 ### 32. Extremely impressed with the Faddom platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

Ease and speed of starting application mapping within hours, it is simple to set up and access to the team to provide support and guidance on the platform itself.

**What do you dislike about Faddom?**

There are no downsides so far, and I would not say dislike, but I know the UI / interface could be updated, which I'm aware is currently in development.

**What problems is Faddom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faddom is supporting an application dependency mapping project where we have many bespoke and legacy systems, the tool also reports on potential operational issues, and system issues whilst discovery is happening in the background.

 ### 33. Finally a tool that easily clarifies the flow paths in your network

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadav S. | Foundation Member, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Faddom?**

Setup is super quick, visualization of the flow is friendly.
Allows extra insights (vROPS like) on your environment so you could look how to save on compute/resource
