I cannot say anything good about Ezvet software. I have been practicing for thirty years and had to change my previous software to Ezvet for a partnership. The software was delivered with "holes" throughout the system. I spent three months in training before launch, which was a total waste of time and wasted hundreds of hours of valuable time. the hospitalization information is displayed well and the integration with "Smart Flow" is improving with time. The diagnostic request and result tabs make things difficult at times and duplication of charges/results happens too often. I have a lot of complaints from both Doctors and Technicians in this area, which results in unnecessary repeat runs and blood draws which can be time consuming. There are options in the diagnostic tabs that do come in handy, but the communications and discharge information are not easily located or concise in my opinion. There are too many steps to complete a task. The lab request process. Unallocated results. It is not very user friendly in my opinion- too many options for a single task. There are duplication's of charges and lab results that add to confusion and time consumption, as well as unnecessary repeat runs and blood draws. I get a lot of complaints from Doctors and Technicians in regards to the diagnostic results. The communications are not chronological by design that leads to confusion. The discharge information is, by far, the worst aspect of this system, Which I feel as an emergency Hospital, should be the most user/client friendly and it definitely is not. I absolutely loved how accessible Ezyvet is from anywhere - in hospital on a computer, in the field, on your phone or tablet. Working on medical records has never been easier! The interface is very easy to use and upon implementation at my practice - the EzyVet team (from Australia and around the US) came to spend one week with us to help with any questions or hiccups during rollout. The training process and sessions that were scheduled prior to roll out were not particularly helpful. Watching another user on Ezyvet during a presentation made for difficulty learning it yourself. I wish we could make custom selections for pt temperament instead of only being able to choose friendly vs. unfriendly vs. caution. Some owners have seen these labels and have gotten upset. It takes a very long time to put in a change request to see things start to change. Some changes seem a little arbitrary and pointless. The program is based in New Zealand so the time difference can prove to be an issue on Friday afternoons but otherwise you can get a hold of someone in a timely manner. Seems a bit clunky in the way you do certain things such as requesting diagnostics. I feel like there is an easier way to get things done, but it's not super easy to figure out. So our entire company switched from Avimark to ezyVet recently - and it's been a huge transition for everybody. One of the major benefits is that ezyVet is a cloud based software so we don't need to install it on all the computers. It's also really easy to use, user friendly for the most part, colorful and much more modern than our old software. It's definitely more customizable and the customer support has been amazing so far. The software is not designed for use in an emergency clinic/24 hour setting. Quickly checking in emergency arrivals is difficult, and invoicing is very confusing for patients who are admitted for multiple days - there can be 5 or 6 separate invoices for a single stay in hospital.
