What is Exterro E-Discovery?

The Exterro Orchestrated E-Discovery Suite enables customers to manage, measure, and optimize e-discovery processes, unifying all phases of e-discovery across the EDRM, and all stakeholders on the same technology platform. Exterro’s e-discovery platform integrates the following technology: Exterro Legal Hold enables users to scope, create, distribute, and track legal hold notifications and defensibly manage the entire process. Exterro E-Discovery Data Management enables users to collect, process, review and produce electronically stored information as required under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. It is the only product on the market that enables the identification of responsive data prior to collection. Exterro Project Management is the only purpose-built project management system designed specifically to orchestrate the workflows, tasks and activities associated with e-discovery and other legal and information governance processes. What do you like best about Exterro E-Discovery?

Sending holds and creating Projects is really fast. Is really user friendly. The canned reports and Employee Change Monitor are invaluable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Exterro E-Discovery?

The "crumbs" to take you back to a previous list can be difficult to follow. The concept of "pushing" custodians or NCDS's to the next Activity is a little cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So many modules and the cost for them can get pricey. ECM module has room for improvement. The idea is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Exterro E-Discovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

IPP is a big help to put our O365 data on preservation. The implementation side was a long implementation since it was buggy. The Data Source Discovery piece took lots of testing and changes to get right. At the end, we discovered that was a bug that won't update OneDrive if a data source was initially added for a user. I like that Exterro is a tool that combines many different modules in one. It's a one stop shop, rather than having separate tools for legal holds, collection/production, DSARs, etc. Everything is integrated and all on one platform which makes managing all stages of a matter easier. Sometimes Exterro has a huge lag. I am the only person who is usually on the platform in my company and there is sometimes a really big wait. I also think training classes should be held more often than once a year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
