What do you like best about ExtensisHR?

From the very start, my Extensis team has been available, communicative, kind, and supportive. And did I mention patient? Because I have a LOT of questions. What do you like best about ExtensisHR?

I’ve found the payroll processing and overall support to be truly exceptional. Our payroll specialist is highly responsive and proactive, flags anything that looks out of the norm, and is able to support us right away whenever we need help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ExtensisHR?

There are a few areas that I'd mention, although dislike is a harsh word. That said:

I do feel like our HR support (Account manager/HRBPs) seem to be very busy. I'm not sure how many clients they support, but I find myself following up multiple times to get a response. I have an HR background, so there isn't much that I ask for, so I can't imagine clients without an internal HR person. When I do reach out, it takes time to get a response.

Navigating the platform is not easy. Everyone knows that during onboarding, you are shown a lot of things in a short period of time and you won't remember/observe 90% of what you see.

For Admins who are most likely very busy with their day job, we don't have the luxury to look around the platform and take advantage of what's available to us. I have asked to know more about what's available, to understand what other clients might find beneficial, etc. It would be helpful to have more support around this. For example, I only now found out about the recruitment team benefit and ONLY because my sales rep checked in with me and told me to take a look.

401k integration is limited. Unless we choose one of the three integration 401k options available, it is clunky to process our 401k payments every month. I thought moving to extensis would providing more time savings, but I admit I spend more time with Extensis than my prior payroll provider.

I see AI is a topic for me to comment on, but I have not seen AI geatures anywhere Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredibly Helpful and Responsive with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about ExtensisHR?

I like that ExtensisHR is just there for me, almost like an extension of my team. As a seasoned HR person, it's incredibly helpful to have a resource I can turn to for backup, guidance, or help on HR-related items. I also appreciate how the team has been incredibly helpful and responsive over the past couple of years. Fior, who we’ve been working with recently, is amazing. What do you dislike about ExtensisHR?

I do wish that the performance review platform was global. We have employees in both the US and Canada, and I would like to be able to use one platform to do performance reviews and goal setting for both countries. "Smooth PEO Transition with Intuitive Platform, Great Support, and Strong Benefits"
What do you like best about ExtensisHR?

So far, our transition to a new PEO has gone very well. We’re still learning everything Extensis has to offer, but each time we discover and start using a new feature, we’re impressed. The platform is simple to use and very intuitive. The staff we’ve worked with have been knowledgeable, efficient, responsive, and genuinely pleasant to deal with throughout the process. We’re also very happy with the benefits Extensis offers our team. The benefits enrollment period went smoothly, and the affordable insurance alone has made the switch well worth it.

Onboarding was a monumental task and we are grateful for all the help and guidance we received. The professionalism of Extensis Staff it top notch. When we did have an issue with a person, that was quickly resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ExtensisHR?

The transition to the new 401K platform has felt a bit disjointed. It’s the one area where we didn’t fully understand the ins and outs with our previous provider, and it seemed that when we needed a little more hand-holding, it wasn’t really there. My understanding is that the 401K department is going through some restructuring, which may explain why our experience hasn’t been optimal.

Still, it did elicit some anxiety, since we’re responsible for our employees’ money and felt uncertain at times. Another frustration was that it sometimes seemed like different departments within Extensis weren’t communicating with each other. There was a lot of information we needed to provide for onboarding, and having to share the same details multiple times for different departments became pretty cumbersome. "ExtensisHR’s Simple, Intuitive UI Makes Admin and Employee Self-Service Easy"
What do you like best about ExtensisHR?

I like ExtensisHR’s user interface for both admins and employee users. As an admin, it’s super simple and straightforward. There isn’t a lot of fancy imaging; it’s mainly menus for everything you need, right there on the main dashboard. I have Company Info, Employee Info, and Reporting Info at my fingertips as soon as I log in, and I can quickly choose where to go next. If I can’t find something, the search tool seems to work great for whatever I’m looking for.

From an employee perspective, it’s a little prettier to look at and still very easy to navigate. We even use ExtensisHR profile screenshots in our orientations to show new employees how easy it is to self-serve their information, whether they’re making updates, changing info, or handling other basic changes. What do you dislike about ExtensisHR?

We have a couple of items on our wishlist, starting with a better Organizational Chart Tool. The current org chart capability isn’t good at all, and our rep suggested exporting the data and then using an outside tool to create the org chart. In addition, I very much dislike that additional tax withholdings are not shown as a separate line item on checks. This makes it difficult for employees to understand what their actual tax is and to confirm that their additional withholding is accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ExtensisHR?

What I like most about ExtensisHR is the high quality of professionals that work there. They are always available and extremely efficient in what they do. They are highly trained, experienced, and a wealth of knowledge for those who don't do this every day. The initial setup was streamlined so efficiently that it made it very easy for our company to make the transition. We switched from another provider to ExtensisHR, which has been extremely efficient and smooth running. The cost was much more efficient for us, and the team support was of greater value. What I like most about ExtensisHR is the response time I've received, especially from my account manager, Zori, and my HR manager, Anne Castro. They have been extremely responsive and usually get back to me within an hour, if not less. What do you dislike about ExtensisHR?

During the onboarding, it was very overwhelming because there were so many different people from ExtensisHR contacting us. We were signing a lot of different agreements, and it seemed disconnected at times as though the team was not speaking to each other. What do you like best about ExtensisHR?

I really appreciate the quick resolution of any small issues by ExtensisHR, they get us back on track without delay. The team, including Valerie, Ellie, Rae, Mel, Barbara, and Drew, is fantastic, and the Employee Solutions Center is exceptional. I'm excited to see how the Performance Management feature evolves, especially in terms of transitioning from manual reviews to a process-driven system. The initial setup of ExtensisHR was flawless, and everything so far is tremendously better than our previous HRIS. If I could rate it, I would give it more than a 10, possibly a 20 or higher!
