It is easier to manage the reports.

I like that it has a simple interface with just the things you need to handle your reinbursements (less is better)
It is really easy to create expenses and reports and by connecting with my bank account I don't need to do any manual input of bank data in each report, it is automatic.

You need to pay to not have reports automatically produce and close each week. Also, after an update to the app, it is much harder to find things, especially if you are dealing in multi-currency and need two versions of expense account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to undertand and use, convenient and has everything needed to be reimbursed in a timely manner. I use it at least monthly, if not mutliple times a month, and its great - epecially notifying me of errors or things that need attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The distance reimbursment seems to measure straight line as opposed to actual traveling distance, the SmartScan is great in concept but a bit buggy - I've always had to manually adjust a few things and I can more quickly fill out the info than SmartScan can populate. I'm not sure why this is happening, but Expensify has gotten more and more pushy about getting you to use other products. They push more and more pop ups and notifications with confusing language trying to trick you into adopting their Expensify card. It's to the point where I have to dismiss 3,4, event 5 notifications before I can approve my team's expenses. Being this pushy is shady and gross and I don't want to do business with companies that behave this way.
UPDATE: We stopped using Expensify at the end of 2022. However, Expensify has insisted they have the right to continue to charge us throughout 2023, simply because we didn't get our cancellation request in to them prior to Jan 1 2023. Expensify is a superb platform to create reports with expenses and track reimbursements. The interface is transparent and provides you with a step by step of each part of your expense and reimbursement journey. It also has an insights and analytics section that helps you get statistics and graphical representations on your types of expenditures and activities.
The interface is easy to understand and self explanatory. The support section also provides comprehensive information about any questions you have or help that you might need.
I use expensify quite regularly, at least once in a few months, and find it to be an extremely convenient way to handle expenses and reimbursements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only section that I feel could be avoided is the Inbox section. It would be easier to have messages as a notification bell somewhere smaller than an entire tab for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Expensify made the whole process both easy to use but also allowed you to track the whole process in one place and without cumbersome steps. This made the whole experience enjoyable and not wildly frusturating like most corporate processes. I appreciated the automated updates for transparency as well. Expensify was most limited by what appears to be set by the users. For me it was trying to figure out which exact category to use and seeing how or if I could only request reimbursement for a section of the bill, which perhaps would have been alleviated by a comments section.
