Userids must be unique throughout the Exavault universe instead of just unique at a company level.

We are using ExaVault service for some years now and we had none problems with the service. Maybe one or two tickets that were resolved quickly by the support team.

-We had to re-write a lot of API calls due to notice late last year of the deprecation of their previous API version only to later find out that they decided to postpone the deprecation of the previous version of their API, which was super frustrating. Ease of use. Very reasonable cost. Permits us to include firm logo and colors, which reinforces the brand, has professional look, and gives clients more comfort that files are coming from the firm. Nothing that I dislike. However, doesn't have as many features as some competitive services. However, (1) we do not need any more features than what ExaVault offers and (2) don't want to pay the extra price that would come with more comprehensive solutions. I like the fact that all the setup is handled by Exavault within seconds of signing up, there is no messing around with installing OSes, FTP servers and configuring things - it is just ready to begin setting users up and transferring files. It offers FTP, SFTP and HTTP/S file transfers and has a clean web GUI that can be used to upload/download files. They have excellent support which responds within a very short space of time to requests for assistance and their pricing is extremely competitive compared to other solutions. I used to be able to use Exavault as a secure place to store the encrypted backups of my customers data. i could organize all my individual backup sets into customer folders, and jump on yesterdays data if a customer reported a problem. The availablity to see the data from anywhere I happen to be, and the ease of setting up automated inbound transfers using sqlbackupandftp used to be its most prominent feature. We've been using Exavault for ten years, and they've been a solid provider throughout our relationship. Their interface is flexible without being complex; our department leads can easily manage our customer folders without the assistance of IT. They can assign permissions, set notifications and negotiate inbound and outbound traffic confidently. Their support has always been very responsive, even though we're not a huge client. Recently they were able to restore our entire transfer structure after a new employee mistakenly deleted everything. We wish they had more capability in customizing notifications and site messaging, but that's a small price to pay for their stability. Occasionally their plans to upgrade services conflicted with our production schedules, but that's the luck of the draw.
