I like that Exavault is easy to use. The UI is very simple. I can set up user accounts easily for clients that want to use "our" SFTP to send and receive files securely. And it is easy for our back-end to be set up to send and receive files to Exavault. And you do not have to be a technical resource to be able to set up the integrations. It's great! There have been only a few instances over the years of using Exavault where there have been unexpected downtimes on the Exavault side that created issues for us sending/receiving files to/from clients. However, the status updates that are posted on the site during the outages are helpful for us managing the communications and expectations with our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use, drag and drop abilities. Folder operations are straightforward when pruning and grafting. Has been rock solid and I've never experienced an outage (touch wood). We use some of the api and private key aspects and they were simple to set up and maintain. The special link creation with expiration is very handy for one off file sharing. The only issue I have is with really large files and the Web Interface. It is not as fast as a native FTP and/or as reliable. (I am talking 10Gb+ files). So best use a proper FTP client if doing very large transfers. Not a biggie, you just need to remember to do it when uploading say a vmware OVF template or something and letting the other end know the same for downloading it. As an eCommerce platform, we needed a platform that provides us with an easy way for our clients to securely FTP images for their website to us, as well as enabling us to push reports to them via FTP. Exavault has provided us with that service for over 10 years without any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been using ExaVault for over 10 years, and I can't think of anything we dislike - it does what it says on the tin! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ExaVault thoroughly checks the boxes for what we needed - a hosted FTP service. We can upload/download via traditional FTP, API, SFTP, and FTPS, it all just works and has been reliable. Customer support is helpful and responsive. The web UI for adding users is simple and effective. At this point, ExaVault is mission-critical for our business, and it has been reliable enough to justify our trust in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have no complaints. We have experienced only one period of downtime in the last 6-7 years, which is hardly something we can complain about! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ExaVault is simple to use and keeps our company organized. Creating folders for each of our clients and using either a share link or a direct link is simple! We could not ask for more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not see any downsides to using ExaVault. Everything is straightforward within this FTP. You have a choice of storage size and can easily add or remove as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use and ability to not worry about hosting our own FTP and all of the technical details for security that need to be monitored as ExaVault handles it all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only issue is one likely most do not have and that is lack of the ability to more easily handle bulk deleting of large numbers of files. And most likely this is a need unique to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part in exavault is we can have easy access to every client to upload data and that too in the most secure way. The best part is we can easily access the files to our servers at best speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We should probably have some better way to delete multiple files at a time. Also sometimes we are having network disruptions for no reason. Apart from that everything is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When we began using Exavault, ensuring the data was getting to the intended recipients was of the utmost importance. Tools included minimize any questions about whether notifications were sent or transmissions were completed. File exchange has become a simple routine. Support has been excellent, and, most recently, due to subscription plan reconfiguration, live help from an Exavault representative helped us find the best plan at the least cost. I wish the file storage area interface were more WIndows-like. I like to keep data organized and think I could do that more efficiently without learning a new interface. Lazy? For sure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've found this site quite easy to use, valuable and affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Userids must be unique throughout the Exavault universe instead of just unique at a company level.
Can only assign one home folder. I've had to create a separate userid to give someone access to another folder not within their home folder view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are using ExaVault service for some years now and we had none problems with the service. Maybe one or two tickets that were resolved quickly by the support team.
They have a nice dashboard to configure the different accounts, users, folders, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the one thing that at first sight is a bit confusing is the different dashboards for the client area and FTP area, where if you are a first time user you might find a bit strange given you have only one login. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
