It can take almost any file type, and there was a problem I ran into once where it wouldn't take the load file type and they went and converted it and uploaded it for me. The Everlaw staff is also very helpful and quick in their responses. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** Only downside is sometimes I don't know how to use certain features, I wish the help pages were a little more helpful. But nonethless the Everlaw staff is always there for you. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** It puts all of the documents in one place and makes it very simple to search for terms and dates when people produced large zip files containing 100,000+ documents. There are a number of search options. Depending on specific case needs, you can keep usage basic or add bells and whistles to easily place your hands on the needed documents in response to discovery and for trial. Everlaw also comes with lots of help; you can easily reach someone to answer questions and provide further insight. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** There are so many tools, it's taking me some time to learn them all. And they are constantly coming out with new bells and whistles; I'm not sure how I will be able to keep up! **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Based on the recent Q&A with Mr. Shankar, they are looking ahead at cloud management. I appreciate their commitment to security since our clients trust us with their documents and a security breach would be a nightmare. Perhaps csv overlays could be made easier and less confusing by merging metadata and user-editable fields into a single type. **Recommendations to others considering Everlaw:** Take a look at Everlaw and compare it's ease of use to other platforms. Design and functionality is everything in a software platform that you might end up using daily. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using Everlaw as a review and investigation platform and to run productions of discovery. Everlaw is unmatched in my mind when it comes to speed and efficiency of review and discovery investigation. I also use Everlaw to allow collaboration during the investigation. Adding work product such as notes, highlights, and sharing binders and searches is so much easier than our old model of using Adobe to add sticky notes. ### 12. I've been able to quickly read previous notes when I log back in to continue my review. The code feature has been useful to group documents in a way that helps navigate and locate files. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** I would like to be able to extract specific pages from documents within Everlaw. I've encountered that for example I only need 3 pages out of a 25 page document and I can't simply take those out. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sorting and navigating large files with very detailed information is hard usually on traditinal softwares. With Everlaw, I've been able to write notes as I review and quickly access them when I want to refresh myself or review something I had worked on before. I like that my documents live in the same space and I don't have to review in one software, take notes on a different one and have other users come in and change information. It makes it easier for multiple people to review the same documents so that we can each create different notes without altering each other's work. It has saved the team time when we need to jump back into any documents and has helped organized information in a way that is easy to understand. ### 19. Uploading is easy, searching is easy. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** I don't like how the data field meta data is managed. If you scan a documement it gives it an edit date of the scanned date. However, it could be a letter dated years prior. The date field works well for emails. But for things like correspondence (letters), memoranda or agreements it does not work so well. It would be ideal if you could use an OCR feature to pull the actual date of those documents into a field. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** As mentioned the dates. We have put in a ticket that perhaps the actual date of the document could be pulled from the OCR. We have had counsel on the other side of our cases complain about the document dates being incorrect i.e. do not match what is on the letter as it is using the edited date or sometimes, the date it was scanned. ### 23. It is also easy to search via Bates, using dropdown prefixes, and then filling in numbers. Customer support is excellent. You get to talk to a real human that is familiar with the software and the usage from your perspective. I also like the big buttons on the bottom of the docs to move from one to the next. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** I have not become comfortable scrolling through families in the upper left of the page, as opposed to the lower right on another platform. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can run a search, cull it, create a binder and save each relevant doc to a binder for later export for my attorneys. ### 31. One of my favorite features when reviewing emails is that Everlaw shows the email chain and which parts of the chain are inclusive of that specific email that is being viewed. I also love the coding and temperature features. **What do you dislike about Everlaw?** The hardest thing about Everlaw is learning it. They have a great database and learning center with great real time support, but there is just so much to know. I find that leanring while I am going is the best method for me, but I feel like there are always more features that I don't know about which could help streamline my process even more. **What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem Everlaw has helped solve is streamlining the process to review mass amounts of ediscovery. It has cut down on the review time immensley while also providing for a more thorough review of the documents with the help of coding.
