I highly enjoy how the granular control of Everbridge delivers messages. The ability to define contact groups according to department, place, and position is extremely helpful. The in depth reporting is also an immense advantage; I am able to quickly view those who got messaged and concur on the same. The mobile app is also an easy send and receive alert app to me. The interface is functional, but it may need a design refresh to place users in a better position. This implies that we can send targeted notifications of specific building evacuations or weather warnings to only the individuals that require it and this saves a lot of unnecessary racket. We have had some experience of local outages of utility that have affected regions of campuses. Prior to Everbridge, the process of organizing and sharing information concerning such disruptions was manual and could be delayed by a few days due to the use of emails and oral communication. At this point we are able to immediately notify the necessary departments and staff about power or water outages to enable them make better decisions about their operations and safety.
