I came across Eventcube when suddenly I found out that Eventbrite were starting to charge for ticketing for free online events (boo!). Eventbrite's layout looked professional and user friendly and the way they described their mission fitted well with my values. Site set-up and admin has been a very smooth experience, with great customer support. And most importantly - there have been no hidden charges. The service really is free at the base level (and that level works fine for my needs, running online events for up to 200 attendees). I wasn't sure about the need for an 'online store page' at first (because Eventbrite doesn't have one) - but since starting to use it I really like it - it gives a fixed focal point for people who what to find out what my group are going to be running next. The only negative (and its a small one) is that the registration page asks for more details from registrants than Eventbrite did. Some of the fields can be switched off, but not all of them. So you still end up asking registrants for details that you don't really need (and which it would be a simpler, less intrusive process to not ask for). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Navigating the back-end system can be a bit challenging, and the abundance of toggled options when downloading a report can feel overwhelming. Moreover, it can be frustrating that certain functionalities are locked and cannot be easily amended, although this may be more attributable to our administrative settings rather than a fault of Eventcube itself.
