The customizability, and the overall capability to almost build anything in terms of fluid workflows. Especially the designer mode is very handy to use with various features like the form designer, easy drag and drop with no coding required, and most importantly the ability to hide and show whichever forms I want. Furthermore, using Octave Script for some advanced functions works seamlessly. It can sometimes become needlessly complex, for example its ability to do anything can sometimes be used by organizations or people to over-engineer things and even simple things can take 3 times longer. Being an engineer, the UI works fine for me, but it can be a tad of a learning curve for someone with no tech background like business majors in my company and to them the UI can seem a little clunky as well. Honestly, the flexibility. We've been able to shape it around our actual processes instead of the other way around, which was a huge relief coming from our old system. Building and tweaking workflows doesn't need a developer, so our QA team can just get stuff done on their own. Having everything in one place (doc control, CAPA, training, audits, change mgmt) has also made a big difference. No more chasing ppl across 5 different tools or wondering which version of a doc is the current one. Approvals that used to sit in someones inbox for a week actually move now. UI isnt flashy but its clean, and new folks pick it up pretty fast. And when we got stuck, support has been surprisingly helpful, like actual answers not canned replies. Anything beyond basic reports gets complicated fast and kinda needs tech knowledge. Mobile experience is clunky too, feels like a shrunken web page for field staff. Doc control, CAPA, and training used to live in binders and shared drives, always out of date. Now everything's in one place, approvals actually move, and audits are way less stressful since we can pull the trail quickly. Training assignments are tracked automatically too, no more chasing ppl.
