Very light foot print on client PC. New virus signatures updates are faster then any other antivirus so far.

Sometimes updates requires restart computer - it takes a lot of time for mine as I have a lot running on it.

The only closes competitor to ESET so far is Sophos. If you have any other antivirus installed, switch to ESET ASAP.

We feel much more secure then before. We've notices that ESET takes care of Ransomware, so we do not need to worry anymore. We had two other antiviruses before and got ransomware twice. After start working with ESET - no more issues.

ESET file security is a highly advanced security product for Microsoft Windows servers and Linux servers. It has a high threat detection ratio. Also, it has excellent ransomware protection and botnet protection. It can identify malware even before executing. ESET also has an excellent customer support team. (a third-party vendor). They provide MODULE UPDATES REGULARLY. I also like that it has a minimal pop-up notification.

Do not find any severe issues. I can say that this is a comprehensive solution.

We needed the right antivirus solution for our Windows servers. We mostly looked for excellent ransomware protection. When initially researching, we found that ESET File security provides great ransomware protection.

The administration control panel in the current version gives us better control over the environment than previous versions. The end-user agent is also very non-intrusive to the user and has covered us from several attacks, including ransomware. We have not had to take a machine out of production due to malware in years.

The administration panel was somewhat overwhelming at first, but once I got the hang of it it was OK. I would also say that there are some portions of the user application that are somewhat more difficult to navigate, but again, with some use / experience it becomes easier.

It is a solid product, it has worked well for us for a number of years. Definitely a good decision if you are struggling with your current solution.

We have averted a ransomware attack, as well as several web-based threats. We are also spend much less time managing and worrying about threats in our environment. We use the reporting features built in to the management console to get a clear image of where our entry points are for malware and attacks. The success rate and lack of infections we have also puts the users at ease.

ESET File Security provides the best protection for your windows servers like file servers, Database servers, AD servers from viruses, trojans, ransomware. ESET File Security has a good detection ratio against threats. ESET File Security runs in the background without uses many resources from the server. Also, scans are running silently and no annoying pop-ups. Regularly gets security updates. Using the remote administration server, you can easily manage this. Licensing management is also easy. There is a good Log and report feature.

Sometimes it gives false alerts. Scanning time is a bit higher. There are no many administrative features in the application.

We are trying to secure our enterprise network from threats. With ESET File Security, we don’t have to worry about endpoint security.

ESET Endpoint Security has an excellent malware detection ratio. It works well against the newest malware and ransomware. ESET Endpoint Security is lightweight as well as it does not use high system resources. It runs in the background without any annoying popups. They provide new security updates frequently. It has other important utilities such as ESET SysRescue Live, Scheduler.

The malware scanning time is quite high. It should be reduced. The firewall should be improved with more functions.

We needed an antivirus solution that can run well against malware and ransomware which provide best security features. So we decided to choose ESET and happy about its performance.

The central management console of the ESET system really helps you get a clear picture of your computer inventory, and the status of those machines.

Honestly, at this point, the challenge we face with ESET is to understand whether it's really providing protection from ransomware. It's hard to prove that it's working - we haven't had any attacks, so does that mean ESET is working, or that we were lucky? Antivirus is a tricky sell these days when you attempt to do ROI evaluations.

Traditional anti-virus, anti-malware protection

My favorite part of Eset security is it's small footprint. I'm currently not using the Endpoint version, but I have in the past and recommend it without question.

The ONLY thing I have issues with is the pricing. Even that isn't all that bad.

This product is great for anyone, large or small. It has helped us increase security and reduce malware. It is far less intrusive than almost any other product. It has a MUCH smaller footprint than any of the other products I've tried. I used to be a user of Norton and McAfee, and since I switched, I have been a very satisfied customer/user.

Security and antivirus are ALWAYS problems with small businesses. I have used ESET for over ten years, and I"ve NEVER had a problem with malware, viruses, ransomware or even phishing email scams. This software warns me every time. It even controls popup ads in our browsers. I'm currently only using the Antivirus, but have used Endpoint in the past.

We have really not experienced anything negative. If I were to complain, I would ask that it be a little easier to whitelist websites.

The healthcare field has recently been under attack by malware and ransomware. We feel confident that ESET is a good front line of protection.

The Endpoint Antivirus is light weight, always works, has great features and hasn't ever caused conflicts that we have detected.

The management console and deployment tools contained therein are miserable. I can usually pick up a new piece of software like this and intuitively be running (maybe not perfectly) in 30-60 minutes. Not so with ESET. It is bulky, tries to add too many auxiliary features, and usually requires tech support.

Make sure you get help installing the product if you can.

In conjunction with other security products we have remained virus, ransomware free for the past 7 years.

Light on system resources yet intelligent and powerful. It doesn't interfere with any daily user - running discreetly in the background and doesn't present itself as nanny-ware. The only time it's prompted my users was when there was actually an issue.

Having to use a re-seller for larger license purchases and renewals. I'd prefer to work directly with ESET rather than a 3rd party as when I have questions about other products etc - they often have to reach out to ESET directly to get the answers that I feel the re-seller should have knowledge on. My only other issue is with ESET separating products into tiers such as SMB, Large Biz, and enterprise. We're technically a SMB but we deal with Enterprise level controls and security - the product offering should be the same.

While not as prominent as some of the larger market share programs - ESET is ahead of them when it comes to actual protection. It doesn't interfere with the daily user yet was ahead of two major ransomware virus without even needing a patch.

We use it for laptop protection but the license also applies to other products in the same software suite from eset.
