**What do you like best about eSentire?**

I appreciate eSentire's excellent customer support, which sets them apart from other companies that often lack this quality. Their globally distributed Security Operations Centers (SOC) are particularly beneficial for us, ensuring continuous 24/7 and 365-day monitoring. This comprehensive coverage is invaluable in maintaining consistent security surveillance and peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

I think eSentire could benefit from offering a wider range of security tools. Specifically, having multiple options for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) would be a great improvement.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire provides 24/7 monitoring, enhancing our security management. Their global SOC provides continuous protection, and I appreciate their great customer support.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

The most helpful aspect of eSentire that helps me sleep at night is their active network monitoring and reporting of my network.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

We've had some challenges getting their on premise network monitor appliance to work with a software defined network. Forcing us to move this to a physical network.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire allows me to focus on improving my network and IT Infrastructure as opposed to constantly worrying about who is monitoring my IDS and firewall logs to stop any potential threat before it becomes a real issue.

I like eSentires responsiveness and Account managers they keep me informed on not only things to look out for and new products or features but they are an extension of the team that is very important

MTTR times can flucuate during the holiday seasons and need to be adjusted.

Extending the security Team, since we are a small organization, we have to use external partners to assist in monitoring the systems for security events and eSentire is out top partner that assists us in that goal

I like that eSentire is well priced and their playbooks are aligned with our tech stack. They have a great team to work with. I also value their SIEM, EDR, and dark web monitoring, which are important tools for us. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, and we were up and running within a month.

I would love for them to have something that could understand our platform.

None, they are always willing to work through issue with their service and attentive to our needs. Highly recommend.

They are providing a wealth of knowledge across the threat landscape to assist my organization on hardening our defenses. They help not only protect on-prem and cloud footprints.

Calling in I get a human quick. No endless menu to navigate. I can ask any question and get an answer I am happy with. Great response time.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

A bit slow on non critical issues. It is not cheap.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Releives stress when an issues pops up. I can always get eSentire to confirm if a suspected thing is an issue or not - and get a great write up on why.

So far, my experience has been that they are very responsive, both when handling incidents and when answering my inquiries.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

Unfortunately, our representative was changed several times, which was less than ideal. However, I understand that this could happen with any vendor.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we are not a 24/7 operation, their SOC has been especially important in helping us respond to security incidents. They handle the initial triage before escalating issues, which has been valuable in filtering out many false positives.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

eSentire has an incredibly broad range of platforms that can be used individually or in tandem to protect your infrastructure and your users the way you want them protected.  Their network interceptor product and MDR products are top products in the industry.  Once installed, the product is absolutely transparent to your users.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

The largest downside of eSentire is that it does cost more than other products, but that is because of the vast array of knowledgeable individuals that stand behind the eSentire product suite ready to assist you if needed.  That kind of amazing talent does not come cheap, unfortuantely.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Your users work quickly.  Working quickly leads to mistakes.  eSentire prevents those mistakes from become catastrophes.  Man-in-the-middle websites, breach attempts by foreign governments, ransomware attacks ... it's DANGEROUS out there!  With the proper collection of eSentire protection mechanisms, as an IT staff member you'll be able to sleep soundly at night knowing that you are protected 24/7 by eSentire's amazing product line and their team of highly trained professionals looking at every possibility of a malefactor on your network.

Great support, easy to understand and use the software. Easy integration.

Nothing noteworthy thus far. I have not had any bad experiences with eSentire.

We are using eSentire to secure and monitor our IT environment with their provided security software and networking logging tools. 
Having a third party securing our network has freed up valuable time for us IT Administrators to focus on other areas and provides peace of mind knowing that we have expert external assistance if there are any security breaches.

I find eSentire to be technically competent and has a good approach to MDR

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

We have had trouble with getting reports to print correctly which has been frustrating. We have had some challenges with our CSR in the past but that has been resolved now.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our primary use of eSentire is for managed detection and response (MDR) services. After establishing the initial services we have since also used eSentire for Policy review, penetration testing, and phishing testing and training. The MDR services has gone well, they are finding and responding to various incidents quickly and reliably. Our security posture has greatly improved with the policy review and we have been able to find areas to improve internally with testing results and working with eSentire on best practices.

Problem: shortage of in-house expertise and 24/7 coverage to detect, respond, and remediate quickly, alert fatigue, and no unified monitoring across environments
Benefit: 24/7 monitoring and rapid response by cyber experts, reduced risk of data breaches, increased operational efficiencies, access to seasoned analysts, stronger security posture, and confidence.

I enjoy the comfort of knowing that esentire's soc is actively watching my environment and getting persistent calls if something bad was happening for me to resolve immediately.

Not a downside but i used to like the personal service with account manager where he would even come to my office to visit.  Now my acct manager just changes more often.

Deep network traffic monitoring is amazing.

We get actionable alerts with very clear details. They are also very quick to respond when additional information is needed.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

We've not had any issues with the service. Obviously, with any MDR vendor, there is some tuning to alerts.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire has essentially become our 24x7 SOC, which we would not otherwise be able to staff. Our time to respond to incidents has greatly improved with the level of detail we get from eSentire as well as the areas of our environment they cover.

Cost. Employees keep changing - so no retention??? that is a really really really bad sign.

Gives reports for anything asked. Giving full reports for anything that comes up when requested for the higher ups to look at.

Set up wasn't difficult for MDR. Support has always been on top of the ball. Contacting them for extra help has always been easy.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

Only real complaint is the way some alerts are classified.

MDR solutions have been a godsend for our small security team. Though we still look at the alerts, eSentire stays on top of them and involves us when needed.

Until recently the portal needed work, but they are making good progress.

ESOC is very helpful, and support in general is great. The Portals is very easy to use and reports are informative.

There were some services I was not aware that we did not have configured correctly, and was not informed.

Best in class. Experience has been excellent and improved after replacing Arctic Wolfe with eSentire.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

Still working on getting everything into the same portal but they have been moving more and more into the same portal which has been much improved.

Providing security on every front. Has been great to know that we are covered. On very few occasions eSentire has caught threats and been able to isolate clients so as not to affect the rest of the network.

Managed response to AV issues, eliminating training for internal staff, and moving this function to specialised staff.

Logs don't have runbooks for Unifi equipment.

Small team that still needs to meet the Australian Essential 8, so the internal team works on industry specific issues, while we offload specialised tasks that cover all businesses to other vendors.

Esentire has the right security experts, tools and mature process in place to support your business. Not just talk, but valuable monthly and quaterly reviews, with KPIs and other recomendations to support your business in staying secure.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

It is an investment. I am not sure any C-suite member likes added costs and expenses, but the value on the return is one not to regret!

Esentire provides us with the ability to have 24/7 SOC without the internal investment of resopurces, systems and tools to handle internally. A significant value in cost savings and expertise.

The initial onboarding went very well due to eSentire's exceptional staff.  They were knowledgeable, responsive and had the resources we needed for our complex network.  In our experience, eSentire's response time has been less that 10 minutes.  Their web portal is easy to navigate.

There have been instances where eSentire has closed a Microsoft Defender alert without proper categorization.  Our internal team was able to investigate further and correct the categorization.

eSentire provides 24/7 monitoring and response.  This is a huge benefit for a small in-house security team.  Helps us sleep at night.

Their MDR platform is rock solid, and their Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts are sharp, responsive, and genuinely proactive. We've caught several threats early thanks to their real-time visibility and fast containment. Their threat intelligence and incident response capabilities are also impressive — detailed, thorough, and delivered with a clear sense of urgency.

We’ve worked with a few different providers over the years, and eSentire has been the one that continues to balance deep technical skill with great communication and service. When we’ve had questions or needed escalations, their team has always been responsive and willing to explain the “why” behind the “what.”

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

The simplicity of the setup was the best for us. We really liked that it was agentless for our environment. It directly integrated with all our microsoft security tools through their APIs and GDAP permissions. My favorite thing is that they rely on other tools and bundle them into the service for you. I'd rather they lean on industry leading tools rather than buying out smaller companies and just to say they can offer all these solutions. Implementation took just about a week to finish everything and the tuning process was short and smooth as well. I've gotten really good responses from their SOC team which can sometimes be shaky with other companies. They've been able to custom tune alerts as well for me well after our implementation period. It's a great peace of mind having eSentire monitor our network.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

My only dislike is that we tried to add additional services and the time it took was probably a little long for me. Some of it was due to our side but also some on eSentire side and our CSM. Our CSM is no longer with the company and it's been over a month and we haven't gotten a new one assigned which is pretty frustrating.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have people who can monitor our network 24/7 internal, eSentire's SOC really solves that problem for us. As well they provide additional insight into our security alerts.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

The platform is user-friendly. In addition, it offers protection against cybercriminals through its alerts and anomalies. Now that I have been an admin of eSentire for a few years, I couldn't be happier with the service. The team is always on time when noticing anomalies, always reaching out and following the escalation procedure, and always providing thorough analysis of the alerts, which makes it easier for us to investigate internally. The platform itself is very easy to integrate, implement, and use.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

As of now, I have not found any services within the platform that require attention. I find it to be an accurate detection and response tool.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire is helping us manage and detect security anomalies within our environment. eSentire is able to constantly monitor and make us aware of anything that requires our attention, at any given time. I love this service since it monitors alerts for me, as well as provides alerts on anything that requires further investigation. Lastly, eSentire offers training (which are easy to attent remotely), and overall awareness of the cyber threats applicable to our industry.
