ENPS was the first program I used in a newsroom. I was a young producer out of college who had no idea how to actually build rundown. ENPS made it so easy because everything was color coded. Yellow means nothing is inside the script, Red means something is in the segment. It makes it easy scroll through and see what needed to be done. Most programs have this, but my favorite thing about ENPS is how Segments get blocked together. You can add a 1shot, VO, and SOTVO line but it will all be one self-contained unit unlike iNews. That makes it easier to move stories around and kill them last second. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I disliked having to put the video placeholder inside the script. I like scroll through my rundowns periodically to see what needs to be done, so I can't tell if a segment needs a video placeholder just by scrolling. I need to click on each individual line which could take long in crunch time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
