This was the first tool we found that could handle the enormous labeling taxonomy we had. We have to catalog many different types of products and Encord’s ontology feature was extremely useful in packing everything into a usable structure. The interface is also quite intuitive and the hotkeys make it easy for our team to navigate and speed up the annotation process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the tool is quite powerful, it could benefit from some customization options. The ability to personalize hotkeys and tool settings according to user preference would greatly enhance the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform’s collaborative feature has allowed us to improve the accuracy of all of our annotations resulting in a significant uptick in the quality of the annotations. A level deeper, we’ve really enjoyed the level of granularity of annotations + frame classifications we’re able to get to with the ontologies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There were some initial bugs with the new workflow feature, but they seem to be sorted now. Overall, we’re very happy with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the ability of task management and automation tools to simplify and optimize complex workflows. Such tools can help increase efficiency and productivity, reduce errors and redundancies, and enable better collaboration among team members. The convenience of having everything organized and tracked in one place also adds to their appeal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasional lag and latency issues lead to slower production sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well documented APIs! Sounds simple, yet can not be emphasized enough! Getting Encord to just work with our pipeline was a walk in the park, and for the one odd time when we had to contact support, their team has been amazing and extremely friendly. The annotation tool itself is pure gold, easily paying for itself through increased productivity! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Humble bragging, but they do an amazing job hyping up new features. For a normal API, this would not be a problem, but we have integrated our pipeline pretty deeply with Encord and would love a longer notice for new releases :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This annotation tool stands out from its competitors due to its impressive speed and remarkable stability. Moreover, its support for DICOM formatted files makes it an advantageous option for radiological studies. A crucial feature of any annotation platform is the ability to navigate seamlessly between sections during segmentation, which Encord accomplishes effortlessly. The platform's exceptional functionality to briefly categorize lesions during segmentation and subsequently procure statistics is highly commendable.
Encord boasts a wide range of segmentation tools, including the remarkable freehand drawing tool and various other options, making it a superior choice to other annotation platforms. Additionally, the brush tool is very user-friendly, contributing to the overall ease of use of the platform. The annotation tools are also highly intuitive, providing comprehensive coverage for various types of annotations.
Furthermore, Encord ensures seamless communication among engineers and other annotators, obviating the need for any additional communication platform. In summary, Encord offers exceptional functionality, ease of use, and versatility, making it an excellent option for annotation needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As it is a Web-based platform sometimes we experience lag or latency issues due to the Internet connection Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best bits of Encord are the powerful ontologies we can create. We can build a really complex labelling structure to cover advanced labelling requirements. Even more useful when combined with the action classification - means you can create very rich datasets to train a ML model on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing we majorly dislike about Encord. The platform is easy to use and responsive, and it doesn't take long to get our annotators up to speed with it. And any bug that does pop up gets dealt with really quickly. Good customer support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very robust annotation interface, easy to use, and quick to annotate lots of frames/visuals. I explored many, many annotation tools and I enjoy using Encord by far the most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Have seen occasional slowness/connection errors, but the interface is good at reporting them and making sure you don't lose data since it does auto-saving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Encord has helped us streamline our data pipelines and get our training data into one place. We've managed to build fairly seamless integrations using the flexible API -- it has evolved a lot since we started using it, and we've been pleased about the team's general responsiveness and speed in implementation. We've also been using some of the customizable dashboards & reports in our reporting, which has been a plus. The user interface is easy to navigate, and the object detection annotation tools (bounding box, etc.) are very expansive in functionality as we can define rich ontologies supported in the platform. There is a bit of a learning curve at the start, mostly due to a few bits and pieces missing from the documentation, but that seems to have improved massively over the past few months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
