What do you like best about Encord?

The customer support experience has been great. The team is clearly listening to feedback and actively developing new features based on what customers need. What do you dislike about Encord?

It would be helpful to have more functionality for analyzing video clips, in addition to the existing tools for frame-by-frame analysis. That said, this has not hindered our ability to work on the platform and is already on the Encord team's radar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Encord solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were using another open-source tool for video annotation and running into performance bottlenecks - slow loading times and limited video annotation capabilities. The S3 integration in Encord means our data pipeline flows seamlessly without manual data transfers or memory management headaches. Native video support eliminates the technical friction we used to deal with. Loading times are better than our previous setup.

Furthermore, Encord's Index functionality lets us see our entire dataset in one place, which helps us identify gaps and improvements in our data. Having the ability to deeply analyze our dataset without creating the tool ourselves has saved a lot of time. We're not building and maintaining internal annotation tooling anymore. What do you like best about Encord?

We build a lot of infrastructure in-house, but made a strategic decision to use best-in-class tools that Encord offers for training data curation and annotation. The S3 integration works really well - we connected our AWS pipeline and now data just flows where it needs to go. Our team can pull up everything in Encord to review and annotate without any problems. The interface is intuitive and AI features like SAM integration saves us a lot of time. The whole workflow from ingestion to export is smooth, which matters when you move fast. When we do hit issues, their support team is quick to respond through Slack. We needed an annotation platform that could keep up with our model development velocity. Data annotation workflow can't be a bottleneck. Encord became our go-to platform for curating and annotating training data. The AWS integration means video data from our collection systems flows into Encord where it can be annotated and fed back into the pipeline. The UI and AI-assisted features cut down manual labeling time significantly. Bottom line: we can annotate new data and deploy updated models within 24 hours. This was the first tool we found that could handle the enormous labeling taxonomy we had. We have to catalog many different types of products and Encord’s ontology feature was extremely useful in packing everything into a usable structure. Well documented APIs! Sounds simple, yet can not be emphasized enough! Getting Encord to just work with our pipeline was a walk in the park, and for the one odd time when we had to contact support, their team has been amazing and extremely friendly.
