## Emma Reviews
 ### 1. Good software, not great

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Easy to use, great analytics. Very simple design templates that allow you to add photos, videos and more.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Limited customization options. Templates aren’t that advanced, have to fit their layouts and not much room for moving things around.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Good beginner email platform

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email marketing needs. Contact list organization

 ### 2. Email marketing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like the ability to schedule emails in advance

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I don't like that once you create an email, in order to look at it again, you need to create a copy instead of just being able to look at it.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma helps me reach all our subscribers quickly.

 ### 3. A Definite Upgrade from Constant Contact

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca C. | Events, Marketing and Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I really like the custom capabilities (ex. widgets) and the range of templates far outway CC.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I wish Emma was a little more user firendly with my co-workers who are not as familiar with html programs and don't really care to be. I wish I could customize the preset templates more or even use elements from one to another OR use it in one of my own creations.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Relatively easy to use for those not super familiar with html marketing programs, but still a little more advanced than other programs. It has a very professional look and can be used for countless objectives.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My organization uses Emma for membership GA alerts, marketing for events and other important information for our membership.

 ### 4. Love the Reporting and Results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelli V. | Director of Marketing & Design, Art Director, Brand Manager, Food & Beverages, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The reporting is simple and easy to read. Love being able to see a visual of where customers click.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Not a dislike as much as a wish - I wish it integrated with our internal client system so all emails would be added automatically.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Emma makes email automation and list segmentation very easy. I can segment lists by an variable I need to and this helps tremendously when setting up automated emails. It saves me time and is much more efficient than manually creating contact lists.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick and easy emails with automation and easy segmenting. Benefits are time savings and transparency when looking at results.

 ### 5. Good for less robust reporting & campaigns

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

My Emma has a simple UI that's not complex or confusing. It's easy to navigate and they have some attractive templates to choose from to make your emails look reasonably professional.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

MyEmma doesn't like custom-coded email templates. Their code editor often "chews' your code and makes it difficult to cross-platform or cross-browser compatibility. It also isn't as robust in its reporting and data analytics as other email platforms on the market.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

If you're a small business without the need for custom templates, want to email to your current customer and prospect lists in a regular fashion, and aren't looking to glean any significant customer experience insights from the email data, this is a decent solution.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you need to stay in touch with your current prospect list, don't have time (or need) to do custom templates, and you're a small business that's not looking for a ton of customer experience insight, this is a decent solution. (As with all US-based email providers, be sure all contacts in your email list have opted into your campaigns).

 ### 6. Email marketing for beginners

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The templates that come with the software are very easy to manipulate, allowing users to get started right away.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There weren't many options for customization, so it's probably not the best choice for more experienced email marketers.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Emma at my last job for internal communications and for communicating with clients.

 ### 7. My emma review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric G. | Marketing Coordinator, Real Estate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Straight forward and user friendly. Easy to create a quick e-blast communication.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Aspects of the platform can be clunky at times.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easiest means to communicate electronically with our audience.

 ### 8. I've already recommended Emma to colleagues

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie P. | Marketing and Communications Specialist, Utilities, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I've used several email marketing providers, but I love Emma's clean and simple user interface! It makes email marketing a breeze. I also really like the A/B testing capabilities Emma offers.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

From time to time, the system will crash while I'm building an email, which can be frustrating. I'm in the habit of saving often.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I contracted with Emma to send our monthly newsletter. We worked with them to create a custom template which makes it easy to develop a consistent, well branded newsletter each month. Since then, we've utilized Emma for other basic email marketing needs, and we look forward to broadening our use with them in the future through their automation services.

 ### 9. My Emma Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin B. | Designer, Illustrator & Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Easy to use and clean layouts for templates. Also easy to use with Google Analytics

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There really wasn't anything I didn't like about it. It's my favorite email marketing platform. It is more competitive in price, or at least it was when I used it.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

They have great customer service and are never (or rarely) on hold when in need of support.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to combined different email marketing lists under one name so I didn't have to log in to each one separately.

 ### 10. Easy email marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The platform itself - it makes building emails seamless and easy. We are able to drag and drop much of the content without having to edit the code much at all. We have the option to add code, but it's not necessary for most of the emails we send. The user interface is so much cleaner than our last ESP.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The only negative I've noticed is the scheduler. To schedule an email, you don't click the giant button to "Send now." You have to click a text link beside it. It's very, very tough to avoid clicking that button. We schedule 99 percent of our emails, so changing that interface would be helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Emma is easy to use from an email building side. They were quick in setting up custom templates for us and they have a number of easy options to implement best practices in email design. The setup proved slightly more difficult than we thought, since their Salesforce integration is new. However, that has been taken care of and we're up and running in a relatively short period of time.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems this solved were cost and functionality. Our last ESP was both expensive and had a low open rate. Many of the features we needed cost extra. With Emma, everything is both up-front cost-wise and our delivery rates are much improved.

 ### 11. There are so many benefits to using Emma!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Libraries | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

It's so easy to input customers (we have a different customer datatbase, outside of Emma), build emails, and send them. I'm also very impressed with the automation features that allow us to set up triggers to contact our customers based on their behavior. We have received a tremendously positive feedback since working with Emma. I also really love that Emma provides their customers with regular webinars about the products and other aspects of email and digital marketing-- I have learned so much.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I can't think of a single negative thing to say-- Emma has been great from working with the sales team, all the way through implementation and adding new features and services to our system.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Definitely consider Emma in the top of your email marketing choices! They are great to work with and the product is excellent.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We switched from a different email marketing company, and the differences couldn't be more clear. We're contacting new customers when they join our library, and are really able to communicate all that the library has to offer.

 ### 12. Mixed Experience - Overall Successful

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I really enjoy how customizable the different features in Emma are. We can build out campaigns exactly as we need to and manage the content as we see fit. It's simple to enter new audiences, manage existing audiences and make sure constituents aren't hit with the same campaign over and over.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

We've had a few difficulties with losing contacts from existing groups with no explanation. We keep our contacts backed up, so we recovered, but that was a frustrating experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

For the price, you can't go wrong with this service. Just keep your contact backed up and you'll be good to go.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems solved are efficient and timely communications. We can schedule out e-blasts for the week and not worry about it. Definite benefit is freeing up staff time to focus on other marketing efforts.

 ### 13. Greatly Recommend

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Relations | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

This was a very easy to use platform, helped get the word out for emails we needed to send quickly.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Not much, this product was super useful I'd recommend it to a nonprofit specifically.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to send out information quickly to our donors

 ### 14. Easy to learn and great customer support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** April M. | Audience Engagement Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I started using Emma for a client at our agency and had to learn it pretty quickly without any prior experience, it's easy to get the hang of and once you have a template, easy to compile weekly newsletters with. I've now shown several other coworkers the ropes and expanded my use of it greatly due to quick customer support whenever we have questions on how to do something new.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Drag and drop editor could be smoother to use. Wish the dashboard showed more overview info on each newsletter without having to click in.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to target non-openers with ease has been incredible. Emma automates much of the targeting process, allowing users to split audiences and separate out segments very easily. We've increased the open rate on our emails by 10+ points using this workflow. The click distribution map feature is a great way to quickly see which articles are resonating with subscribers.

 ### 15. Love Emma, the personalized support is the biggest selling factor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine T. | Director of Marketing - Southeast Division, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love the teams that they have available to assist you in creating and implementing the best email marketing strategy for your company

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I dislike that the drag and drop editor does not have any many customization functions as Mailchimp and I can't place buttons in columns, and that I have to link documents to a button via a link that I have to go out of the editor page to grab and then go back in and place the link.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are working on a large scale automation project with the Emma team and are really excited about how its going to change things for our marketing team

 ### 16. Emma, the great unknown

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is very useful if you use it correctly.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I dislike the interface of Emma and the control panel has too many options.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Do some research!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma provides anyone with a great ability to get things done in a quick, organized manner.

 ### 17. Great mobile optimization and ease of design

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The ease of use when designing emails. There are a few hiccups, but I love that the emails are optimized for mobile OR desktop viewing. With my constituents, mobile is critical.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The mail scoring system. It's nice to see how my mailings compare at a glance. The reporting functions allow me to dive deeper than other mail systems I have used.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Designing an email is easy, but it does take a bit of getting used to. The design options are not always as intuitive as I like, but the end results are great and the pre-designed templates are good. The reporting is thorough so if you're interested in tracking open times, click times, etc., you can't go wrong.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The overwhelming majority of constituents I need to reach are millennials. They don't respond to or even open their mail, so it's critical that I reach them where they are - online on their phones. Emma allows me to create captivating emails that look good on a phone. Their tracking gives me insights to better reach my constituents in the future.

 ### 18. Gets the job done but there are better tools out there

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I like the scheduling features Emma allows

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Limited customization of templates and no personalization tokens in subject line

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email marketing platform to send out emails to our customer base

 ### 19. Effective Modern Email Marketing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaac K. | Digital Marketing Director + Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2016

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love how clean MyEmma helps make email marketing. From the design to the reporting and email capture, MyEmma provides necessary tools in a simple manner that make it easy for someone to come in and compile a beautiful email, but also have tools to learn about A/B testing and open rates.

As part of an agency it really makes managing multiple client email marketing very simple, and as an individual allows me to be able to provide a high quality email marketing product.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There's not a lot I currently dislike, and they recently implemented new features that combat what I would have 'disliked' about 6 months ago.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Definitely try it out and you will see how much better your email marketing design and reporting will become!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching customers in an effective manner. Being able to customize email marketing to test groups by simply adjusting some of the content and testing has proven to be a real insight into why MyEmma has done it right!

 ### 20. Best Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kerry R. | Digital Marketing Manager, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

Being paired with a customer support representative is incredibly valuable.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There is nothing I don't like about Emma.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Emma is exactly what you'd want in an email marketing platform. Customizable templates are included and specialized projects are easy and quick with support.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Segmentation and personalization. Setting up an email strategy with Emma has been great.

 ### 21. Great templates and ability to manage campaigns.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Drag and drop templates. Each mailing is scored and easy to manage. Very pretty interface. Good support/follow up emails with educational content. I've learned a lot from Emma.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I can't think of anything. I have had very good experiences with Emma.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing/newsletter emails. Managing customer contact through emails.

 ### 22. Email marketing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Ease of use for end users which helps considerably with training and support issues.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Wished it had better info or a central dashboard for administrators (re: usage, etc.) across accounts. Would make overall management a bit easier.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized email solution for our various divisions and departments. Shared templates and resources.

 ### 23. Satisfied customer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Much easier than constant contact. Many options to create without being a graphic designer.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

A little clunky in terms of analytics. But they do have a nice heat map feature that similar products didn't offer.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User friendly. Realized the benefit of testing subject lines.

 ### 24. Very simple and easy to use email tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

How easy it is to create emails, add images, format text, etc without any HTML knowledge.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Can sometimes take a few extra steps to build emails than using a traditional editor like MailChimp or Marketo.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma allows anyone in any department to send out emails and newsletters without any HTML knowledge and without having to get designers/developers involved. It's saved our creative team so much time by not having to build as many emails for teams outside of marketing.

 ### 25. Emma is great for small businesses!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer C. | Owner, Yoga Teacher, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

I love the segmenting that is customizable with my software provider: Front Desk. It makes it easy to target a particular audience.

There are a few minor glitches that I have found, but other all it is great!

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Worth the money if your software attendance program can be integrated with it.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to target a particular group of people that have attended a class so to not blast email everyone. I like that I can setup automation for kicking a discount email to those that haven't attended in 6months. That is the coolest feature!

 ### 26. Easy to Use Email Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Mailing lists are easy to access and update-easy to segment our customer base.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I wish the automation with our website was a little more sophisticated. We have to create quite a few manual processes to get what we need done.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My Emma is great for staying in touch for our customer base and providing a timely communication format. It gives us the analytics we need to see how each mailing performs.

 ### 27. Cutting Edge Email Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaylee E. | Interim Head of Demand Gen, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is very user friendly. I've used Emma for several years and they are always making updates to the interface to increase the usability of the product for their customers. **What do you dislike about Emma?**

There isn't anything I particularly dislike about Emma.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Would benefit from simpler sign-in process - difficult to manage log-ins

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Difficulty achieving desired open rate; we have achieved benefits through better utilization of platform to generate higher ROI on the opposite end of workflow

 ### 29. Simply eamiling

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

 ### 31. Powerful and very reasonably priced email marketing tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

As it is web based it allows the wider team to work on it wherever they are. The agency feature is brilliant as it allows me to manage all our offices within one account.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The templates can be a bit restrictive, even the ones created especially for us as footers are hard coded, so any changes need to be requested to the team at MyEmma. However, they are very quick to turn things around!

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

It is a very robust email platform at a very reasonable price.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the tool for both internal and external comms. We have dramatically reduced the timescales of preparing and sending market reports using bespoke templates that team members without any HTML knowledge can easily edit and send.

 ### 32. Emma is Incredible!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie V. | Knox County Director, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The customer service is amazing. They stayed on the phone with me for nearly an hour once going through my entire issue until it was solved. I never felt rushed and we got everything straightened out!

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Sometimes the formatting isn't as flexible as I would like it to be, but I am still learning.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ella J. | Co-Founder and Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

As a new Emma client, their on-boarding and support team handled our transition from Constant Contact to Emma with ease. Our dedicated account rep, Emily, is knowledgable, friendly and has been a great extension to our marketing team!

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The a la carte pricing can get a little confusing and add up quickly.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're currently working on automated workflows for our business. The ease of use of the system is allowing us to create more email touch points with our customer base.

 ### 36. Good email service provider, easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Homeownership Liaison / Development Assistant, Public Relations and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2016

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The customer service is great, and the email templates look really nice. It's easy to use and understand. I especially like the "mailing score" and "click map", so you can see how people are responding to your emails. As I learn more, I want to use more of the automation tools as well.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I wish there were more customization tools on the emails. It's hard to get it looking exactly the way you want it. I would like more templates to use as well, because I've been using the same ones.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Read up on the different options of how to use. the system and take advantage of the customer support.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to reach our constituents reliably and drive them to actions that suit our needs such as donating or volunteering. Most of our audience responds well to the professional emails sent from Emma's system.

Customer service is my #1 thing I like best about Emma. They actually answer the phone. #2 templates are great and really easy to use drag & drop features.

Providing product information to my clients client.

 ### 40. Great Whitelabeling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber K. | Director of Operations, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

We currently use Emma as a whitelabel software for our clients. Emma was the least expensive whitelabeling option and the functionality is fantastic for both us and the clients. My favorite thing about using this software for whitelabeling is that with one login, we have access to all of our clients portals as well as our master portal.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

There is no way to put a client on hold like you can on mail chimp so if you have seasonal clients (like we do) you have to pay for them the entire year even when they aren't utilizing the software.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emma has made our service of email marketing much much more simple for our clients and for us. We no long have to login to multiple portals in order to access client's information, instead we just access our master Emma portal. This saves us time and lots of headaches.

 ### 41. Top-Notch Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Their customer service can't be beat. Anytime there are questions, they are easy to reach, and they follow up to make sure everything is going properly. Also, they offer a rich suite of reporting tools.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I wish it integrated with other tools, because our membership database has to be manually exported each time we send a campaign.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

While they may not be the cheapest option, you definitely get what you pay for. They will support your team at every step of the process.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We communicate with our audience daily, weekly and monthly. We needed a tool that would allow us to segment populations easily and market to people who had not opened previous campaigns.

 ### 42. Director of Marketing and Social Media

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Pre-made templates are clean, simple, and can be easily customized for our brand. Analytics provided with each email send include great insights and are easily understandable for every person on our team.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Customer service is terrible. We were promised many things along with the integration with our point-of-sale software, and Emma was unable to deliver.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

If you are a small business hoping to receive individualized attention, Emma might not be the best option for you, as customer service was pretty awful.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are focusing on marketing to both current and former students. Emma allowed us to segment our audience in unique ways so we could send highly targeted emails to the right people.

**Official Response from Kyle Floyd:**

> Hi,

Thanks for the feedback on our support and product. I hate to hear that your experience was less than stellar and would love an opportunity to learn more and make things right. As your post here is private, I'd ask that you email our support team (support@myemma.com) and ask that our Director of Support contact you. That's me, and I'll be glad to follow up.

Kyle

 ### 43. Love the ease of use... but could use a bit more options

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love the ease of use and ability to make new emails quickly.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It is hard to keep font/formatting the same when adding text. There is also no undo button.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Improve ease of changing fonts and undo!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mass emails to clients. We have been able to update our customer base to our events happening daily.

 ### 44. Jazz up your emails with Emma!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mandy T. | Independent Gallery Guide and Co-Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love the automation feature in Emma! And the reporting feature makes it easy to see how many customers are opening and engaging with my emails.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

The templates are a little limited. I would like to see more template options to choose from.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

The templates are a little strange to work with at first, but their support is awesome and can walk you through it.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending automated emails has been a huge help!

 ### 45. Review for Emma

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Ability to move columns and rows after already in the editing process.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

It tells me I have too much text after only 40k worth of text. I also don't like that they don't have more basic design options with the ability to remove an image in a current design.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

I recommend doing your research to know what is important to you as far as email marketing. We did the Emma trial and that's how we made our final decision.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that there are more editing capabilities than some other email marketing platforms. I also think that Emma is more aware of how email marketing is changing and growing. The customer service is also a lot easier to get in touch with that our previous company.

I definitely like the ability to have automatic emails sent based on segments and parameters that I have set up.

 ### 46. Emma is a decent email marketing tool but not the best in it's price range.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily R. | People Operations, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Emma is decently intuitive and offers a basic analytics package for a decent price. It's easy to create templates and to drag and drop your text boxes & images. They also have a great community forum that makes it easy to search for any issues you are experiencing.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Emma just isn't that robust of an email marketing tool. Yes, it always A/B testing but only under certain parameters and restrictions. Its analytics are pretty basic and I wasn't able to get a ton of insight on what was working, what wasn't, and how to improve our email stategy.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Great for basic use, not for a robust, complex marketing tool.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using Emma as another branch of our Content Marketing strategy. Email Marketing is a great way for us to provide updates and new features to current customers and also promote our business to new leads.

 ### 47. Emma is working well for our business!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chantel G. | Strategic Communications and Analysis, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

We just started using Emma and just started email marketing in general. Emma makes this super easy to do and track!

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Nothing really at the moment! One time the system was down when I wanted to send an email but it was fixed within an hour.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our clients only know us for the one service they use and this is helping us educate them about all our services.

 ### 48. LOVE EMMA! - Great!!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

Excellent customer service, Emma is always there for support, keeping up with the latest trends in email marketing - they are your go 2! constant system improvements as well.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

I wouldn't change a thing about this program!

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email marketing for franchisees, ability to create campaign and share down to all sub-accounts. Platform to manage multiple accounts - The Emma team are true email marketing experts!

 ### 49. Emma Rocks It!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin B. | Director of Marketing, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

I love Emma's powerful and robust set of tools, from email automation and audience segmenting to content and subject line A/B testing. It's just amazing!

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

Nothing. Nothing at all. Everything I've used has been outstanding.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

Just ask for a demo. You won't regret it in the slightest.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a modern marketer, I struggle to keep up with all of the day-to-day operations. Emma helps me to automate many tasks that I used to have to do manually.

 ### 50. Simple Email Campaign Management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becky W. | Interactive Marketing, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Emma?**

The clean design of the website. It wasn't overcrowded with unnecessary features, which made it easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Emma?**

List management and tracking was more cumbersome than other applications.

**Recommendations to others considering Emma:**

This program works great for one-off email campaigns, but didn't work well with more elaborate and sophisticated drip campaigns.

**What problems is Emma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1:1 consumer journey and sales drip campaigns.
